Makoto started explaining, everything seemed to make sense so far. Ofcourse, Byakuya would always make a fair point and Makoto had to prove the truth, but the trial went smoothly. Y/n helped out here and there with the knowledge she had of al the evidence. Surprisingly, Leon and Hiro had some fair points aswell.
Though Celeste seemed odd. 'She's been trying to pin Hiro this while time. Pretty sus to me...' Y/n thought, biting her nail. Makoto seemed to notice, therefore he asked, "Y/n, is something bothering you? You seem to be lost in thought..." "Oh? Well, there's just something bothering me is all." Y/n replied. "Well, what is it? If it's related to the case then speak. It might lead us to the answer." Byakuya pretty much ordered while crossing his arms.
"Well... it's just that even if Makoto already proved Hiro's innocence, Celeste is desperate to pin the case on Hiro..." Y/n explained. "Well, that is simply because I truly believe he is the culrpit." Celeste rebutted. Y/n shrugged and continued thinking, 'Is it Celeste? But what evidence is there to prove it? She was attacked to, she wouldn't attack herself... right?'
Another 15 minutes passed and the class seemed to be getting closer and closer to the truth. Y/n was thinking hard about the evidence and the case she saced out from what the class was saying. Though a certain someone caught her attention by pretty much going insane.
"My name... is... CELESTIA LUDENBERG GOD DAMNIT!!" She shouted. "What the hell?" Y/n whispered. Celeste kept going on about her name, denying that her last name was "Yasuhiro". Eventually Makoto found out that her real bame was Taeko Yasuhiro, and therefore connected the dots to how she was the culprit.

After Makoto explained the whole case, everyone voted for Celeste. "But what was the motive? Why would you do such thing?" Sayaka asked. "Well, you see, the motive was what I wanted." Celeste explained. "You did it for... money?" Junko asked, "HAHAH! YOU'RE SO LA-!" Y/n covered Junko's mouth before she could finish.
"But why?" Makoto asked, "Why do it for money?" "Well, I've always had a goal. A goal to build my own castle and have servants helping me all around..." Celeste went on about her goals and dreams and how the money would've made them come true. Then, Monokuma began the punishment.
She was tied to a pole(?).
Everything was set on fire.
Celeste was being burned alive. The fire spread in an instant. Yet she was... smiling? "WHAT THE HELL MONOKUMA! SHE'S GOING TO BE *ACTUALLY* KILLED!" Y/n said. The bear didn't reply. 'Oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit Monokuma's going to actually burn her alive what the hell!!' Thoughts raced through her mind. And then...
A firetruck hit her. (Vroom vroom)
...
...
No one said a word. Was Celeste actually dead? Monokuma guided everyone back to the trial room. Everyone screamed at Monokuma asking him if Celeste was actually dead. Ofcourse, he said no, but the Ultimates couldn't trust him, not after what they had witnessed.
The students all made their ways to the elevator and back to their dorms. 'What the absolute fuck just happened.' Was the first thing Y/n thought once she entered her dorm. She closed the door and locked it.
The nighttime announcement played and Y/n got ready for bed. Not really, she just layed there on her bed until she fell asleep.
"Good morning everyone! It is now 7AM, and nighttime is officially over. Time to rise and shine!"

The announcement woke Y/n up once more. Did she want to wake up? What if she just went right back to sleep? It had already been the 3rd trial, why is it still going? She layed there for a couple minutes before finally convincing herself to get up. She lazily brushed her hair and fixed her clothes before walking out of her dorm, dragging her feet.
She entered the dining hall seeing the group of students that ate their breakfast. "Good morning." Y/n mumbled, still half asleep. She lazily walked to the kitchen and grabbed [breakfast choice]. She then walked back and sat on a table. She didn't care which one, just the nearest one. She was eating her breakfast in peace. 'What am I going to do today...?' She asked herself. She continued eating in peace for a while. Then she heard footsteps enter the dining hall.
"Hey guys... it's been a couple days..." Mondo said, scratching the back of his neck. Besides him was Chihiro, who seemed to be hiding behind Mondo. "I told Chihiro you guys all knew he was a... well, you know, boy." Mondo stated. Chihiro seemed to look worried, as if the class wouldn't accept him for acting like a girl the whole time.
The dining hall was quiet for a few seconds.
"Hey Chihiro, want to join me for breakfast?" Y/n asked. "Hm? Yeah, sure..." Chihiro replied with a soft smile. "Hey! What about me?" Mondo teased. "Sure, why the hell not." Y/n shrugged, starting to be more awake.
The two boys went to get their breakfast and then joined Y/n at the table. "So, Chihiro, I heard you want to get stronger... right?" Y/n asked. "Yes... I want to be as strong as possible!" Chihiro said, very happy. "Do you think I can help? I may not he the strongest, but I've got my ways here and there." Y/n suggested. Chihiro nodded excitingly, "Yeah! And... well, if Mondo is up for it, maybe he can help too!" Chihiro was beaming with excitement. "Alright man. We'll meet in a bit to go to the training room. You too Y/n." Mondo said. "So, what hapened while we were gone? I saw Celeste, Hifumi, and... my bro... at the nurse's office." Mondo asked.
Y/n could tell Mondo was upset about his best friend being, well, unconscious. "Well, where to begin... first of all..." Y/n explained evdrything that happened. The robot man, justice hammers, Taka being the first victim, Hifumi ALSO being a victim, Celeste's name is actually Taeko, and all the details to go with that. They seemed to understand everything.
All 3 of them finished their breakfasts and decided to meet up in an hour or so. Y/n went to go pick a suit to train with, since her clothes might not be the best choice for it. She picked out a [size] [favorite color] suit and went to her dorm.

Sorry for the late update yall. Shit has been getting in the way and it makes it difficult to write the chapter.
ALSO! Since the trial is an hour long I didn't want to waste your time having to read around 3 chapters of just the trial, so I sort of... y'know... skipped it.
Yay, Corn Hair and Chihiro are back.

My master created me for his entertainment, leading adventurers to ruin and betraying them at the last moment. This time will be no different. Or so I thought. Now I'm living the life of an adventurer. Hopefully, my companions won't realize I'm not who, or what, they think I am. *Now updating Tuesdays and Thursdays Additional tags I couldn't include: Romantic subplot This story is meant to be a book rather than a serial, there will eventually be an ending. It is also my first book length work so while I intend to do my best, mistakes and issues will occur.

When they reach Portland, Dust discovers a line has been drawn between those who have been changed and the unchanged ones who want to control them. Can Dust protect his new family from being used or will the power within him become a force that will not only destroy his enemies, but the ones he loves?

Molting the Mortal Coil
Reincarnated as a child in a new world a mild mannered programmer, named Sage, finds himself struggling to survive. The road to immortality is paved with danger, treasure, and conflict. This mystical eastern world is filled with Demonic Beasts, Treacherous Cultivators, and Extraordinary Legacies. Follow Sage on his journey to adapt to this new world, and find out if he can overcome the limitations of body, mind, and soul. Will he rise to the occasion and become a hero? Or maybe he'll turn to the dark side and end up a villain? Molting the Mortal Coil is more of a slower paced journey. It's not about endless battles and conquering the next bad guy who spits on the main characters shoes or sends him a funny look. There's also not a treadmill of tournaments or love interests. It's more of a slower burn with lots of, and hopefully not too much, world building. It's still supposed to be stuffed with action, but that won't pick up for a while since we start with a weakling. The first 30 chapters have a lot of time-skipping, but stay with me it gets better. I plan to re-write and add more to the first 30 in the future, but if you can push through I feel it gets much more fun after! Updates will be weekly.
