"Come here." Vanessa giggled.
I shook my head smiling. "No because you're just gonna make fun of me."
"I promise I won't," She smiled. "Tell me the story."
I sighed, fuck it. "Okay I got this scar my Freshmen year of high school," I said and laid next to her on my bed. "I was really into this girl."
She sat up and smiled down at me. "Oh noo."
"Oh yeah." I smiled. "Okay, her name was Gabrielle and she was a cheerleader," I laid onto my back. "She was wayyy out of my league but I thought why not give it a try. She was into athletes so my dumbass decided to join the soccer team. Her so-called boyfriend was on the team and I guess he was intimidated by me or something because he put me through hell just to tell me I can't be on the team."
Vanessa laughed and started to play with my hair. "I think I can guess where this is going."
"Oh no mama you can't," I shook my head. "Naturally I was pissed because he wouldn't put me on the team so I figured I had to find another way to catch her attention," I closed my eyes. "It was the big championship game and everybody was hyped because we were winning. It was close to the end of the game and I knew I had to do something before it was over." I shook my head laughing.
"Don't stop it's getting good." She said hitting my forehead.
"Okay, I uh ran onto the field and stole the ball from Luke, Gabrielle's boyfriend, and he chased after me to get the ball back. While running from him I saw Gabrielle laughing and I thought I was doing a good job. I stopped and kicked the ball, into our team's goal, but what I forgot was that Luke was coming at me at full speed and he didn't have enough time to stop."

Vanessa laughed. "Mhmm."
"He crashed into me, my leg was just coming back down to the ground and when he crashed into me I fell, and my arm snapped. Bone popped out and everything, but wait that's not even the best part," I chuckled. "I started to cry, like fucking bawl."
Vanessa leaned over laughing.
"The only good thing that came out of it was that I got my first kiss, yes it was on the cheek but, it was a kiss."
"Oh my God baby you were a dork." She giggled.
"Were? No, I still am." I chuckled.
She smiled and hummed. "So you got a scar trying to impress a girl, that's kind of romantic."
I nodded. "You think that's romantic I didn't tell you that I learned a whole language for her."
"Wait what?" She asked.
"Mhm, Gabrielle was Cuban so I learned Spanish to impress her."
"Did it work?" She asked.
I shook my head. "Nope, well kind of, it impressed her but she still didn't want to be with me."
"Aww her lost."
"Exactly."
Vanessa shifted and went back to playing with my hair. "You and Summer have been working for what 5 days now?" She bit her lip looking nervous.
She's been acting nervous all day...should I be worried or flattered?
I nodded. "Yup, the event is 4 days away."
"Excited?" She asked meeting my eyes.
I shrugged smiling. "I guess," I squinted my eyes. "You look like you want to asked me something."
She looked away and gulped. "I don't want to overstep my boundaries since we've only known each other for about 3 weeks but, it's been on my mind for a while."
I nodded and sat up as my heart raced. "What's up?"
She cleared her throat. "Remember that night about three days ago when I came over and we fell asleep watching Netflix?"
"Yeah."
She cleared her throat. "Okay well, when I woke up we were in a spooning position and I think I felt-"

"Yes." I blurted out.
She smiled. "Yes?"
Am I jumping to conclusions?
"I think?" I said in a questioning tone.
She giggled biting her lip. "Did you fall asleep with a gun in your pocket?"
I laughed. "Dammit, now you know."
She smiled tilting her head and raising an eyebrow.
"I was born with a penis." I said looking down.
She held my cheeks making me meet her eyes. "Please don't tell me you're ashamed of that."
I avoided eye contact. "Not really ashamed just like..."
Yeah, I'm pretty damn ashamed.
"Y/n there is nothing wrong with you." Vanessa whispered.
I nodded. "It's just that, when people say stuff about you all the time, you start to think it's true."
"Hey, fuck them," she said. "Baby you are so amazing and having an extra body part doesn't change anything."
I met her eyes and she smiled.
"And if somebody has a problem with it," she shrugged. "I'll beat their ass, simple."
I poked my bottom lip out and pulled her into a hug. "Aw, you love me."
She giggled. "Yeah I do."
I smiled pulling back. "I love you too Nessa, now that that's out of the way," I smirked, "I have a pack of condoms in my drawer."
She pushed me and I fell off the bed with a loud thump.
"Ow, shit." I groaned rubbing my head.
She laughed. "Well that's your fault for ruining our moment," She leaned over the edge of the bed smiling. "Are you okay?"
I shook my head. "I just wanted to teach you the proper way to put a condom on somebody," I sat up. "I would've grabbed a banana and everything."
"Mhm, so why did that have to wait till after you told me?" She leaned back with her arms crossed.
"I didn't want you to question why I'm so good at putting condoms on." I shrugged standing up.
"Wow, you're a quick thinker." She said.
"Don't compliment me now," I shook my head. "You didn't have to push me off the bed."
"It was an accident, I sincerely apologize." She smirked.
"Liar," I pointed at her. "Your smirking."
She shrugged. "Just because I didn't mean to doesn't mean it wasn't funny."
I nodded. "Well, paybacks a bitch."
Her eyes widened as a jumped and landed on her.
"Oof, Y/n get uppp!" She yelled laughing.
I leaned back and pinned her hands above her head. "Apologize first."
She smiled. "I just did."
Damn that smile.
"No fuck that, you didn't mean it," I glared at her. "Try again."
She shook her head. "No fuck you, I'm not giving you two apologies Y/n."
I tilted my head and she did the same. "Oh yeah?"
"Yeah- ahhh." She cut herself off laughing as I tickled her.
"Apologize!" I yelled.
"Y/n I'm gonna pee." She said still laughing.
"And you'll be cleaning the sheets," I stopped tickling her. "Say it Nessa."
She shook her head breathing heavily. I put my hands on her sides. "Okay okay, I'm sorry."
"That half-assed apology," I frowned. "Last chance."
"Y/n, baby, I am so sorry for pushing you off the bed." She said with a straight face.
I stared at her and a smile started to break out onto her face. "Fine, I'll take it." I got off and sat next to her.
She leaned up on her elbows and looked at me."You accepted my apology because I called you baby huh?" She smirked.
I blushed. "Pfft, no."
"Aww, you like it when I call you baby." She cooed pinching my cheek.
"Stopp," I whined pushing her hand away. "I only accepted your apology because I'm nice."
"Mhm." She hummed smiling down at me.
My heart sped up and I smiled too.
I really love her eyes.
She leaned down laying her head on my chest and wrapping her arm around my waist. "Your heart is beating really fast." She whispered.
I wrapped my arms around her closing my eyes. "I wonder why."

Paladin
When the first derelict alien spacecraft fell to Earth, humanity took what was found in it and propelled themselves to new heights. In their new Golden Age, humanity developed technology that they had only dreamed about. The following years saw hundreds more ships crash into the planet, spurring even greater technological leaps. An unassuming spacecraft, one of the dozens that fell yearly, descended on Siberia in 2021. The world took no particular notice of it. However, this one contained something beyond the miraculous technology that had made humans so prosperous. Three years later, in a top-secret underground facility in eastern Colorado, the automated construction of an army of Paladin Mobile Infantry Suits was underway. With this new, state-of-the-art weaponry, the military would turn the tide against the alien incursion that was consuming the planet. Humanity fell before that could happen. Sam was an engineer responsible for overseeing the facility. Now alone, he lives in utter boredom and near insanity, his only company the base’s pseudo AI and an army of empty Paladins. With the world gone to hell around him, and the things that caused it still living above, he decides that he is much better off staying exactly where he is. Unfortunately for him, that is no longer an option. This is the first novel I've written. The first fifteen or so chapters are going to be a little slower. I want there to be time to get to know the characters before they start blowing stuff up. Also, though the MC will be strong relative to the world, he won't be OP, and won't win every fight. Not every fight will be physical either. Currently, I'm aiming for something like 5 fairly short chapters a week, after the introduction part is done, but we'll see how that goes. Thanks for reading, and please let me know if I've made mistakes!

Alex was dying, and all the millions his father had left him meant nothing. The life he had been so eager to embrace, to do the memory of his father proud, would soon come to an end. Cancer. That ugly, terrible word. He had tried to be strong for his mother, even when the treatments left him violently ill, his body wracked with pain, his friends and even his girlfriend leaving him almost as fast as his once impressive physique wasted to nothing under the ravages of his illness. And just when he thought all hope was dead, a couple discrete referals placed by high-powered friends of his family got him an exclusive spot at the most sophisticated cryonic facility in the world. He didn't know if there was such a thing as an afterlife, but part of the package included uploading a copy of his cortex into a digital universe filled countless worlds to explore, where he could embrace whatever class or profession he could dream of. All of which sounded hell of a lot better than the miserable death waiting for him in the real world. In the end, he signed the paperwork, putting his pathetic flickering life in the hands of potential quacks and charlatans. After all, with death just days away, what did he have to lose? Even if he could never be successfully revived, he could at least adventure his heart out. (Authors Note: Books 1-6 are now live on Amazon and here is a link if you wanted to check it out! Notebook of possibilities
First of all, to those who started reading this I want to apologize. While it does have a ring of a nice story title, this is going to be a place where I take the Sparks of interest from other stories or random ideas and just put it down, I'm not sure how exactly but the title should summarize the basics of what is held within. To say it's a waste isn't accurate, to ask the question why is a good start, why would I want this? Because when I read a story I want to think of so many things I may see or find in the world they envision, all the possibilities that could come about, and maybe, just maybe, some author out there can get their hands on this and it will be a spark of creativity for them to make a new chapter and see their world even a smidge closer to what I think it could be. It is tagged as fanfiction for it will pertain to numerous stories, not simply one in particular. Currently it will include; Oblivion Online Dungeon Heart And many more to be listed as they appear.
