《Promise (Frodo Baggins Fanfic)》Chapter 2

My eyes flung open and I sat up in my bed. It was a dream. Frodo wasn't really back.

I rested my head in my hands and wiped the sweat off of my forehead. He wasn't back.

The dawn was quickly approaching. I sighed and got ready to go to work.

I met Rose halfway and we walked to the tavern together. We were cleaning the dishes from the previous night together as we talked.

"I had another dream last night," I said.

"What happened?" she asked.

"The same thing as every time. I was cleaning his house, and when I got to his room, he was in his bed. He turned over, whispered my name and I woke up." I sighed. "Do you ever dream about Sam returning?"

She shook her head. "No. I wish I

did. But we never talked so what exactly would there be to dream about?"

I nodded. "I suppose you're right."

"Galpsi!" My boss called. I rolled my eyes and turned to him.

"Awe, now where's the fun in that?" he asked. He tried grabbing the crates from me. "Com'mon now, let me have 'em."

I pulled them away from him. "I said no. Now go away!"

He rolled his eyes. "Oh, Fara. What's it gonna take?"

"I'm not going to marry you, Ebbo, got it?" I scoffed.

"Well if I can't persuade you into liking me then I guess I'll have to force you."

He knocked the crates out of my arms and they tumbled and broke onto the ground.

"Hey!" I shouted. He pushed me against the wall. I struggled but it was no use. He was 4 feet tall, and the tallest Hobbit in the entire Shire.

"You are going to marry me," he stated. "Frodo isn't coming back."

I struggled more. "I made a promise!" I shouted.

"Well then break it."

He moved in to force a kiss on my lips. I turned my head sideways and shut my eyes tightly.

"Hey, what's going on here?" A familiar voice asked. I opened my eyes again. Walking along the road was four hobbits. My eyes widened.

"It cannot be..."
