Run, run, run. That's all I could think of right now.
Trying not to look back, I ran. I ran until I lost my energy.
Panting, I knelt down and sighed. Why would someone chase me?
Did I do something wrong?
Wait- footsteps. I can hear the sound getting closer.
I turned my head and I saw someone but.. it's blurry.
I heard a voice calling out to me. "Baekhyun, Baekhyun.." I blinked my eyes a few times and...
---
"Baekhyun.. Baek, wake up." I rubbed my eyes and blinked to get my vision clear.
"Baek, finally! Did you have a bad dream? You're sweating a lot."
"Oh, hey Yeol.. I didn't really have a bad dream, I think?" I told him.
"You didn't have a bad one? You were screaming for help, Baek. And it's 2:35 a.m. Are you sure it wasn't that bad?" He asked.
"Yes, I'm sure." I said. He stayed with me after just to make sure I was okay.
We talked a bit and didn't notice that it was already 6:00 a.m. "Yeol, I'm hungry." I pouted.
"I'll go make breakfast for you and the others then. Wanna come?" He asked me then smiled. "Yes, please."
We were walking past the other rooms making sure not to wake them up since they were probably tired from yesterday's work.
After a few minutes, we were in the kitchen cooking stuff. It's already 7:00 a.m. when Chanyeol and I finished cooking.
Someone came downstairs and went in the kitchen. "Oh, what's all this? You didn't need to, I was going to cook." Kyungsoo hyung said. "We wanted you to have a little more rest because we know you guys are tired. Anyways, let's wake the others up for breakfast." I told hyung.

We went to the rooms and woke them up one by one. Soon, we were all in the dining room eating and chatting. I was the only one not talking because I was thinking of the dream I had last night.
"Baekhyun.." Would that happen to me in real life? "Baekhyun?" I'm scared. "Baekhyun!" I heard Suho hyung shout my name. "Huh? What's wrong?" I said.
"You're being weird, Baekhyun. You used to be so loud and now you're all quiet. Is something wrong? You can tell me anything, I'll listen." Suho hyung told me. "Ah, it's nothing. Don't worry about it too much, I'm okay. Thank you." I said then smiled afterwards. He nodded then continued eating.
After we finished eating, Kyungsoo and Kai went to do the dishes while I went back to my room. Chanyeol followed me from behind [ a/n : they share one room ] .
I entered the room and jumped. I landed on my bed ( which I aimed for, obviously. ) and sighed.
"Hey, Yeol." I called out to him. "Yes, Baek?" "I'm bored, what do you want to do?" I asked him. "Hmm.. Do you want to play?" He smirked. Games? Nope. But I have nothing else to do so.. let's try.
"Sure, what game?" I answered.
He came closer to me and looked at me in the eye. "What-" I was cut off by him shushing me. He leaned closer to me. I was probably red already, I'm sure of that. "Yeol, I-" "No, Baek." He cut me off again.
What kind of game is this? Just what game--
"You lose." He said while laughing. "What?" I asked. "You blink, you lose. You blinked, Baek." He answered, laughing yet again. "That's unfair! I didn't even know what the game was." I told him. "I told you what we're playing. You were just busy getting all flustered thinking I was going to kiss you." He chuckled. "I-I wasn't thinking that you were going to kiss me!" I looked away from him trying to hide my red face. "Fine, fine. You're so cute, Baek~"

Aish, this guy.
---
We dressed up in our uniforms then went to school.
As we walked down the halls, noise was heard. Screaming, squealing, gossiping, and more. Some 'Please date me, oppa!' here and some 'Can I get your number, oppa?' there. I'm getting sick of it.
Girls are really annoying, very flirty too.
The twelve of us have finally reached our classroom. Peace and quiet, no girls, no flirts.
We sat down on our seats and waited for the teacher to come. Kyungsoo hyung and I chatted for quite a while and a few moments after, the teacher burst in our room, panting. "Good morning everyone. Sorry I'm a bit late, had to run a few errands." He said.
Class went on as usual and before I knew it, it was already lunch time.
The bell rang and everyone ran out of the room and into the cafeteria.
I stayed behind, bringing out my lunch. What's wrong with bringing your own lunch to school? I don't need to spend money that way. Besides, these taste delicious!
I started eating quietly in the room. Chanyeol came in a minute later, asking if I was going to join them or not. I said I wasn't going to, and he stayed with me after. Turns out, he also brought his own lunch.
Both of us ate, stopping for a while to talk then eat again. "Baek, there's something.." He mumbled the rest so I couldn't quite make it out.
He leaned closer to me and reached his hand out to my face. He wiped something off of my cheek using his thumb, and my heart was racing. I feel the heat go to my cheeks. "Chan... yeol..?" "Hmm?"
What do I do.. I can't say anything. What is happening to me? Why is my heart beating so fast?
Is this... love?

Casa do Diaño: The Fool
As Thomas Hobbes once said, "Humans are driven by a perpetual and restless desire for power." Given the heavily moral standards society has placed on its inhabitants for centuries, it's no wonder many people deny their internal need to be in control of something. "Oh, we do not want to rule the world at all! We just want to live happy and die happy!" Of course, the irony there is that, by wanting a happy future, you are actually projecting your own desires and opinions into what the world should be like. Hence your inner monarch banging his/her scepter for all their subjects to hear. Though to be fair, this is a pretty small, small example. Why settle for small? Why not go the extra mile and become that vicious monarch pounding his scepter at his feet? This is the story of a young man by the name of Genghis Dillinger Boy. There are quite a few words that can describe Genghis. Anarchist. Libertine. Criminal. Psychopath. He has denied the moral standards society has set for him and constantly lives his life seeking more and more power. Once an unexpected turn occurs in his life, he uses it as an excuse to burn his bridges and move him and his bride to a mysterious island known as Casa do Diaño. Genghis vows to burn the old world to the ground and watch as his brand new world arises from the ashes. But what if he's biting off more than he can chew? After all, monsters like Genghis are not the only kind of monsters lurking in the House of the Devil...

Same Crap, Different World
A young man from early 21st century wakes up in a different world. This world is like a typical setting of an fantasy isekai novel. But it is also not. There is magic, alchemy, magical creatures, different non-human races, peasants and nobles, demons and dragons. But there is also politics, persecution, supremacism of every kind, entitlement, slavery and other unpleasant human tendencies. In short, this new world does not differ much from his old one. However, besides him, there may be others who have made such a strange trip, and awakened into this new world. There certainly have been others, in the past. But more than people and other living things, there have been items. All sorts of items, which are regarded as otherworldly artifacts with unknown danger and power. And he himself is an artifact as well, albeit a living one. Therefore he has use for the powers that be. He is also given a role and expectations to fulfill, to hide his real value. And in all that he still has to make sense of what has happened, what is happening, and find a way back, if possible. Author's note: I write this project mostly in (except chapter 1) in 60-100 page (40,000-70,000 word) chapters, edit them as such and later cut them down for publishing into 7-11 page segments (depending on natural breaks in the flow). Therefore, each chapter may be divided into 10-15 subchapters.
