For some unknown reason, Akaashi insisted on spending the night at their home. Of course Bokuto would never refuse.
Akaashi felt it was nice, and thought it would be easy.
Lol..
Well.... what he didn't know, was it was really hard to raise a child with ✨✨.
After her nap, they decided to feed her lunch but she ended up throwing it all up and all she could keep down was a fruit.
Akaashi was traumatized at bathtime. The screaming, the thrashing. He didn't know it would be so hard to give a 3 year old a bath.
The icing on the cake was the sudden night terrors. Akaashi woke up at 3 in the morning to a screaming child.
Of course Bokuto had been preparing for moments like this since the day he signed those adoption papers.
As Akaashi stood at the door frame of the dark bedroom, still a panting mess. He saw the child already nestled in Bokuto's arms asthe dim moonlight seeped in through the small gaps in the curtains.
"Is..is she okay?" Asked Akaashi.
"Oh! Didn't see you there" Smiled the father as he swayed from side to side, patting the girls back softly.
"Is she alr-"
"Hm? Yeah she's gonna be alright. Don't worry about it" Bokuto stated.
"Are you sure? I can help, let me get you some water"
"It's fine man~ you go to bed"
Feeling dejected and unhelpful, Akaashi went back to the guest room quietly and laid in bed.
Just when did he get so....mature?
He'd known Bokuto for years and he'd never seen him so responsible like this. He looked like a different person. Akaashi's doubts dissipated as he knew his friend was perfectly cut-out for parenthood.
The night went by slowly for the adults as they didn't sleep till dawn.
Of course office-man Akaashi woke up first and made breakfast.
Bokuto strode into the kitchen after smelling spam with a child latched to his side. She'd become his personal accessory.
That is, until she gets tired of him and chooses to ignore his entire existence.

"Good morning Bokuto, (Y/n)"
"Morning!" Bokuto greeted "(Y/n) say Goodmorning to Akaashi"
"Mmh... " she hummed, resting her head back on the man's shoulder, she looked exhausted. Poor kid. Frowned Akaashi.
"I'm surprised you're awake though." Akaashi laughed.
"I'm only here because Sakusa called to open the front door" He stated, walking out of the kitchen
Shortly after, Bokuto opened the front door.
"Omi~ I missed you! Gimme a hug" He hummed as the ravenette scoffed and walked right passed him.
That is, until something clicked in his head and he turned around to see Bokuto carrying a child.
"Why is there- no wait, Who's child is that?" He glared.
"His"
"Mine"
Akaashi and Bokuto stated at the same time.
"How? Oh, Goodmorning Akaashi"
"Goodmorning Saku-San"
"I adopted her" said Bokuto.
Sakusa's gazed bored into his teammate's, he nodded and walked upstairs to his bedroom.
"You think he's okay?" Akaashi asked.
"Yeah. He's Omi!"
"Um okay.."

Breakfast on the dining table was very quiet. (Y/n) was no longer in her fit, instead she sat on her highstool being fed by Maji-Man Akaashi.
She'd often sneak glances at this new face, which Sauksa didn't like. Sakusa despised children.
Little ones especially.
After another glance, they locked eyes. Sakusa's piercing gaze seemed to make a shiver run down her spine as her head snapped downwards and she began to tremble.
"Hey" Bokuto growled "Stop that"
"Stop what?" Asked Sakusa, still eating.
"You're scaring her, don't glare at her like that" Bokuto nagged.
"Then tell it to quit looking at me" Sakusa Deadpanned.
"It" muttered Akaashi.
"It??" Repeated Bokuto as his left eye twitched "You wanna say that again?" He asked with a...not-so-nice looking smile
Sakusa seemed to notice something snap in Bokuto and decided to remain silent.
"It's okay Cupcake~ here have some more spam. Spam is good for you"
"Should you be giving that to a toddler?" Asked Sakusa.
"What would you know?" Bokuto bit back, just trying to be petty.
"Much more than you" Sakusa deadpanned.

"Mhm. Sure. Say that to me when you're a parent" Said Bokuto with a smirk, ha! Victory is mine!
"Oh yeah? And how long have you been a parent, Mr. Father of the year?"
'Shit.. I wish I went home last night' Akaashi thought.
"About 2 days" Bokuto said proudly, making Kiyoomi snicker.
The table was silent again until Sakusa decided to speak again. Accidentally picking the wrong set of words.
"What's wrong with her anyway?" He asked.
"Whoa! Okay! Let's all chill out" Akaashi interjected "Saku-san, please be more considerate with your words."
"I am" he blinked "I just asked why she's got a big cut on her head"
"Oh.. that.."
"I'm HOME~" A voice boomed.
"Yay..." Sakusa said unenthusiastically.
"Hey guys!" In skipped Hinata.
"Shoyo!" Bokuto grinned
"Kou! Ah- and Akaashi! Omi-san too!" He smiled as he walked over to the dining table "Hi (Y/n)" he waved at the girl
Everyone turned to the happy-go-lucky ginger, even (Y/n).
Who was this man? Why did he know her name?
"How do you know her name?" Asked Akaashi.
"I watch alot of true crime videos when I'm free." He shrugged.
"You know what? Okay."
"Can I hold her please?" Asked Shoyo.
"Of course!" Aside from Akaashi, Hinata was the only one Bokuto could trust because like him, Hinata had experience with children as he had many cousins and a little sister.
Shoyo stretched his arms to pick her up but ended up getting rejected.
"Sorry she's really shy"
"I blame the ✨Trauma✨"
"So uh.." Shoyo started "why is she wearing my tanktop?"
"Well duh, because mine would be too big" Bokuto laughed.
"Then why didn't you just buy her clothes" Asked Sakusa.
"He thought it'd be something you'd be good at" Akaashi explained.
"Well true." Sakusa nodded.
"Anyway I'll be taking my leave" Akaashi stated before getting up from his seat, taking his dish along.
"Leave it there" Sakusa commanded. "I'll do the dishes"
"Oh..alright. thanks" He bowed politely before leaving.
Then another voice was heard
"Hello."
"Hey Akaashi! Bye Akaashi" Atsumu waved, walking into the dining room.
Just as he walked in, his eyes landed on the little girl. He smiled at her fondly.
"Hey am i hallucinating or do i see a little girl sitting on our Dining table" Atsumu pondered walking further into the dining room.
"Nah. She's there." Sakusa sighed.
"Oh cool! Who's kid is that?" Atsumu smiled.
"Ours apparently. Since Bokuto adopted her" He deadpanned.
"Eh?"
"So um now that you guys are here, can you watch her for me?" Bokuto asked "I haven't slept in 2 nights" he admitted.
"N-"
"Of course!"
"Oh really?! Thank you so much, wake me up if anything happens okay? Thank you!"
✯✿✿✯
"I wanna play with her, it's a shame she doesn't smile much" Atsumu whined, sighing again.
"Yeah she hasn't said a word either" Shoyo added
"Or laughed"
"I can make her laugh!" Shoyo declared, picking the confused child from her high-stool as Sakusa coincidentally walked into the room.
"Wha-"
Suddenly, Shoyo tossed the girl up in the air and caught her immediately as her face twisted into an expression he could not read.
"I think you're scaring her man" Atsumu tilted his head.
"No I think she's trying to get used to it let me try again" Shoyo said.
"How about you toss her to me"
"Don't do that, you want Bokuto to kill you?" Scolded Sakusa as he took the child from them. "My gosh, she's not a volleyball. Idiots."
She stared at him in disbelief
This man who looked as though he was about to kill her, had just saved her life. She felt indebted to him.
Her latched her arms around his neck and clung to him tightly.
"Eugh, what is this?" Sakusa cringed. "Please get this child off me" He groaned as he rest of the team began to laugh at him.
"Physical affection! I want in!" Atsumu cooed, running over to the pair to join in on the 'hug'
That is, until he was kicked back by angry bean (Y/n).
Well, that was it. Their new lifestyle.
