'Oh, it's raining." Arlo's mood was automatically lowered by this fact.
Meanwhile, John was outside Arlo's house... enjoying the rain... because Arlo was asleep and didn't answer the door.
John looked at the door, "he should be awake by now." he thought aloud as he walked back up to the door and knocked.
Arlo's attention was dragged to the sound coming from downstairs. He walked down the stairs and opened the door, revealing the shorter male.
"Oh..." Arlo stares at him for a minute, "wait- how long have you been here?"
"About thirty-five ( 35 ) minutes." John shrugged and walked past the blond. "Anyway, I got some hot chocolate!" He smiled, showing Arlo a small box that he was hiding god knows where.
"So you're telling me... you walked to the store, bought stuff for hot chocolate, walked to my house, and then proceeded to wait outside my house for thirty-five ( 35 ) minutes?"
John nodded.
"You're a dumbass."
"Less talking more hot chocolate making"
John followed his lover into the kitchen where they started boiling water in preparation for the powder. ( don't be suspicious ;) )
Arlo yawned, leaning against the counter. The other examined him before wrapping his arms around the blond and holding him tight, catching Arlo off guard.
After awhile of talking the two walked over to the couch where the cuddled and continued talking about whatever came to mind, occasionally falling into a comfortable silence until eventually, they heard the high pitched squeal of the kettle.
John walked into the kitchen and prepared their separate cups of hot chocolate while Arlo grabs his weighted blanket and wait for John to return to the couch.
"I love you" John smiled as he took a sip of the liquid.
Arlo replied, "I love you too" before leaning down and kissing John's forehead.
