I turn around in bed and bump into a chest. Without thinking I wrap my arms around his naked torso and place my head on his chest. He strokes my cheek before placing a piece of my hair behind my ear. 'You okay?' I nod. 'I have a little bit of a headache but I'm good.'

I open my eyes but close them as soon as the bright sunshine meets my eyes. He stands up and closes the curtains. 'I have a surprise for you.' I smile. 'Another surprise?' He turns around and laughs, showing his white teeth. He walks back to the bed and lies on top of me. 'You're even more mesmerizing up close.' I blush slightly.

I place my tiny hand on his cheek. I look into his eyes and see emotions I've seen before. Happiness and most importantly.. love. I've never been this ready to give my love to someone. He is my hart in human form. He smashes his lips onto mine. Fireworks explode in stomach. His grip on my waist tightens. His kisses move from my lips, to my cheeks, then to my ear. 'We should stop.' He whispers in my ear. I nod and get out of bed.

I pack my bags. After this dinner tonight, we leave for Wakanda. We only stayed here for two days but I've never had so much fun in my life. Except for the whole bartender incident, I really enjoyed this trip. I look at the calendar on the wall. 21st June of 2018. I almost forgot that tomorrow is my birthday.

I take my hair straightener out of my tote bag and begin the process. An hour later all my curly afro has been tamed into straight hair. I quickly put my dress and heels on. I cover my lips in a faint pink lipgloss.

'You done baby?' Erik asks me. He is wearing an all black suit. And boy, would I be lying if I said that he didn't look good.

He looks at me from top to bottom. He licks his lips and a soft growl leaves his mouth. 'Damn sweet cheeks.'

'I know I look good.' When I walk past him he whispers something I wasn't supposed to hear. But I did. 'I'm so damn lucky.' He said. The biggest smile appears on my face.

Before I know it we arrive at a restaurant called "Hermano's Place". He opens the door for me and we enter. Candles are the only thing that radiate lighting in the restaurant. It's kinda romantic if you ask me. We walk to a short, middle aged lady behind a counter. 'Good night, what is your name?' 'Erik Stevens.' 'Ah! Here it is. A reservation for four right?' He nods. 'Enjoy your time here!' 'Thank you.' I answered her since Erik will just nod unbothered.

'Why did you reserve a table for four?' He points to a table where I see two people sitting. Because of the lack of light I move closer to see who they are. And when I do my eyes begin tear. My mother sees me and rushes my way. I give her a big hug. 'I missed you baby.' 'I missed you too mama.' I feel a huge arm around me. I look up and M'Baku hugging my mother and I. 'Wassup big dude?' I joke. 'I missed you Wakandan insect.'

After we have ordered our food my father starts interrogating Erik. 'Do you love my daughter?' 'Yes I do.' 'Are you planning on marrying her?' Erik chokes on his drink. 'Dad! Stop it!' I pat Erik his back lightly. 'You good?' 'Yeah thanks sweet cheeks.'

After a while my father and Erik finally have a normal conversation. 'You look happy.' My mother says. 'He makes me happy.' 'I was acting the exact same way you are acting now when I met your father. I was head over heels and nobody could tell me nothing.' I smile. She is right. Nobody can now tell me anything about him. Because I know everything about him and he about me.

After the dinner I say goodbye to my family. When we arrive home Erik doesn't step out of the car. 'You coming?' 'I got something to do. I'll be right back baby.' He places a kiss on my hair. I close the door and watch him drive off.

What does he gotta do so urgently at 3 in the morning?
