"Ridhimaa!"

I was sitting on a chair, watching TV, when she called me.

"Yes, Mummy?"

"Come here and help me, to make dinner."

"Coming."

I switch off the TV and headed towards the kitchen, to help her.

"What are you making for dinner?" I asked her.

"Chapati, Bhaji, Dal, Rice and Kheer," She replied.

"Which bhaji?" I asked.

"Cauliflower," She replied.

My mom is a great cook. I love whatever she makes, but that doesn't mean I'll eat anything.

"But I don't like it."

"I know, but you should eat every vegetables. They are healthy," She replied.

I just rolled my eyes in response. Thankfully she didn't see it.

"And just because you don't like it, I can't stop cooking it. I like it, your dad like it, even Armaan likes it. For you we can't compromise eating it," She continued.

I was just looking at her in shock. I had nothing to say. Then I remember.

"Why did you invite him?"

"His parents are out of town, so I've said him I'll make lunch and dinner for him," She said.

That explains, why she invited Armaan and not his parents.

Armaan arrived for dinner on time. He was looking very tired and stressed. But I didn't bother to ask the reason.

"Hello, son, come in," Dad greet him.

"Hello, uncle, How are you?" He replied with a smile.

"I'm good. Where were you these days?" Dad asked.

"I was out of town," He replied.

"Hello aunt, Ridhimaa," Armaan greet us entering the kitchen.

"Hello," I said.

"You are on time. We just finished cooking," Mom replied.

"Ohh, great. What is on the menu today? master chef," He asked mom with wink and a big smile plastered on his face.

"You'll see. And stop calling me that," Mom replied blushing.

"Ohh come on, we all know, your food is delicious," He replied licking his bottom lip.

Mom again blushed again and waved her hand.

"OK, let's have dinner, I'm starving," I said.

They both started laughing at me. But I ignored them and stepped out of the kitchen.

I started serving food, to everybody. We all sat down and started our dinner.

"Ohh My God! Kheer, cauliflower. I love you, aunty. Only you know how to change my mood. Thank you so much," He said with a big smile. " Umm.... It's delicious, as always."

Hmm, this means he really had a bad day and was upset.

"Thanks," Mom replied.

Dad and Armaan were busy talking about sports throughout the dinner.

After dinner Dady went out for a walk and Mom started cleaning. Armaan was watching TV. So I used that opportunity, to talk to Armaan. I wanted to make up, for what I did in past.

I wanted to talk to him but I didn't knew how. How to talk? and what?

I walked towards him and sa besides him.

"Hey!" To my suprise, he initated the conversation.

"Hi," I replied shyly.

"So, when did you return?" He asked.

"It's been two days," I replied.

"Nice," He said smiling. "How was your experience? Did you enjoy?"

"Yes, alot," I replied with a smile.

"Good. I hope concentrated on your, instead of fooling around over there," He said winking. I know, What he means by 'fooling around'.

"No," I replied quickly.

"Liar," He said with a smirk.

I just glared at him and he started laughing.

I stood up and turned around to leave. But someone caught my wrists, I turned around, Armaan was holding it.

"Sorry, I was just kidding. Please, sit back," He said with a sad smile.

I nodded and with a small smile sat back. I don't know why didn't like, him asking me that question. Even though I knew he was kidding. May be I didn't like him asking me such kind of question, this soon.

"Now my turn," I said. Before he can say anything. I said, "What do you do?"

"What do you mean?" He looked confused.

"I mean what's your job, where do you work."

"Ohh," He looked little hesitant before replying. "I'm a- "

When he was about to say, mom cut him off. "He is an engineer."

"Ohh, nice," I said looking towards him, I saw him frowning at my mom.

When he looked towards me, he smiled, "Thanks." But I know, that smile was fake.

"Welcome," I said, but I was confused. What just happened?

Then he stood up. "Thanks aunty see you later," He said. "Goodnight aunty, Ridhimaa."

"Good night, sweet dreams, take care," Mom said.

"Thanks aunt."

"Good night," I said.

He just nodded and left.
