Dear Prince,

Those memories would last

Even though the tears would dry and smiles would fade

The time when bedraggled and vulnerable life was made

When the heart was livid

And in melancholy laid

The soul was dwindled and betrayed

But then that moment came

When intrepid I became

Of the dark and malign I was no longer afraid
