"Rumplestiltskin,"

Her hand flew to her mouth trying to cover up the word she had uttered. But she knew it was too late. After being connected to the island for the past few days, she could feel the entrance of new beings onto NeverLand. At that moment she felt an immensely powerful presence come onto the island. Her heart dropped out of her chest.

"He's here," she whispered in a hushed tone, her face was wet with new tears. She searched his face for an expression, it was still very dark in the room with only a little moon light filtering through the window she could hardly see him. His jaw was tight and his muscles tense.

There was a moment of cold silence before she felt a portal open next to her, then a force like gravity grabbed hold of her legs, pulling her towards the portal. She screamed and flung her hands around Hook's torso. He was so surprised it took him a moment to asses the situation before he wrapped his strong hands around her, pulling her away from the portal.

But the magic was too strong. It tugged on her limbs, threatening to pull them from their sockets. She screamed into his chest. Despite the obviously large weight they had combined they inched towards the portal slowly. Before she knew it her whole lower body was dangling through the portal. For a few agonizing seconds she was stuck there. Her bones and tendons were screaming. In the back of her mind she heard Hook's labored breathing and she felt the perspiration sprouting on his skin.

In a sudden pop, no amount of pulling or weight would have helped, they both fell through the small portal. She clung to him wishing that none of this had happened. Despite all the effort she put into holding on to Hook they were flung apart upon landing. She tumbled into the dirt and leaves of the forest floor, she did at least five rolls before she came to a stop right at the foot of a slimy faced Rumplestiltskin. Horror and fear built inside her.

"Hello deary," he said in his evilly lyrical tone, "how's Mum?" He said with a smile that would have put the devil to shame. Pain once again pierced her heart. He had killed her. Her mother.

They were in a clearing that had a roaring fire at the center of it. Hook was on the other side of the fire, cradling his head that he must have injured. The fire light reflected the insanity in Rumple's eyes.

Reaching down, he grabbed at her wrist and pulled her up from the ground only to throw her back down like a rag doll. Pain burst in her arms and legs as they scraped the hard ground. She let go a small moan that only she and Rumple could hear.

"Sorry, did that hurt?" He said emphasizing "hurt" sarcastically. "Don't worry, when I am done with you, you won't have to worry about pain, Deary." He said with anger. "Unless you finish the job I sent you to do!" He roared. She looked up at him.

"Never," she said. His face burned with anger.

She got her arms under her and was just laboring to rise onto her knees when she felt the sharp cruel feeling of a boot being driven into her stomach. The wind was knocked from her lungs and she felt pain seeping to her very core. She tried to curl into a ball and protect herself, but she was too slow. His boot slammed into her side. There was an audible crack from her ribs snapping.

"Aah!" She screamed in pain. Again, and again, and again the boot was driven into her now very broken rib cage. He paused long enough for her to scream in pure agony, only to get a mouth full of blood.

"Let her go!" Hook Yelled from the other side of the camp. Zemira cursed, why couldn't he have stayed down?

But it wouldn't matter much longer. The news hit her like a wrecking ball. She was dying. She could tell by the amount of blood she was coughing up that one of her broken ribs had found it's way into her lung and punctured it. She didn't have the strength to use magic to fix it. She was going to die. But apparently he didn't care, he knew she wouldn't kill Pan, so it didn't matter if she died. But something had caught his attention.

"I know that voice," he said softly his voice shaking. Rumplestiltskin turned his head to look at Hook who was shirtless and weaponless against him. She coughed up more blood and spit it out. Rumple turned and glanced to the other side of the camp at Hook who was struggling to come to her aid. "You," Rumple said with more contempt then I thought was possible for a human voice. Then again, he wasn't exactly human.

"No!" She croaked out, pain increased immensely every breath she took. More blood, she had minutes to live.

"You dare face me again? Pirate?" Rumple said, he flurried his hand, in a magical gesture that would have hurt Hook. But nothing happened. Rumple frowned, "what is this?"

"Blood magic," she managed to say through the blood, "and you-" she yelped in pain as she got onto her knees. "-you are not going to touch him," she coughed again. Zemira forgot about the hook she had spelled with Pan's blood. this protected Hook from Pan and those who were related to him, including Rumplestiltskin who was Pan's son a millennium ago. Blood spilt down her face and onto the ground. Zemira had an extremely high pain tolerance, and she was high on her adrenaline. She glanced down long enough to realize that one of her ribs had pierced her skin and was sticking out of her chest, spilling blood all over her. Hook was aghast, staring at her, he looked out of it slightly but looked okay.

"I hate to inform you Deary, but you will be dead in minutes and your magic will die with you," he said with no remorse. She saw Hook try to move but he couldn't, Rumple was using a spell on him that some how just kept him in place.

"Zemira!" Hook yelled to her frantic to help her. She knew she had to protect him, after all she loved him. It took all she had, but she made it to her feet swaying slightly. Despite the pain threatening to kill her literally, she held on.

"You can't hurt-" she bent forward and a mind numbing pain consumed her as the bones were crushed and slid in and out of her wound as she fell onto her knees coughing up enough blood to make a puddle. Her face was white. She lifted her head in her last moments before she blacked out, "-him," she breathed laboredly, "if your gone."

Rumple frowned, she took as much power as she could muster from the island and formed the only spell that would help Hook. Using all her remaining energy she pulled on the island's reserves and shot a very shocked Rumplestiltskin back to where he had come from.

Then she collapsed into her own blood.
