"Out! Get out, Aaron!" I yelled at Aaron.

"What? But, why? What did I do now?" he asked with a frown.

"What did you do? You said you wanted to eat cookies. So, I called you in here to help me instead you are", I swatted his hand away and continued, "You are busy licking the cookie dough and flirting with me!"

"You know, I don't know anything about this baking and cooking that you do. If I help you, they wouldn't be worth eating. And flirting is good for health", Aaron smirked.

"Very well. I will take up your advice, Dr. Kingston and the next time I meet a handsome man, I will work on improving my health", I smirked back at him.

"Your health will only get better by flirting with this handsome man", Aaron said pulling me closer.

"Which handsome man? I don't see any handsome man here", I frowned trying very badly to control my laughter.

"Really?" Aaron asked raising his eyebrows.

"Yes, really", I bit my lip.

"Well, let me show you then", Aaron said dipped in to kiss me.

We broke apart breathless. We stared at each other in the eyes and smiled. Suddenly, I broke into fits of laughter.

"What's funny?" Aaron asked with a smile.

"We. We are", I chuckled.

"We?"

"Yes. I mean not even a month ago we were fighting like we have a war going on between us and today we are celebrating our five month anniversary", I laughed.

"Well, a lot of things have cleared up between us since last three days. So, definitely we are happier and...normaler than what we were", Aaron smiled.

"Yes", I smiled back.

I stared at him for a few seconds and then broke the eye contact saying, "So, everything is prepared for the orphanage visit tomorrow?"

"Yes, almost. Peter is looking into the delivery of the supplies as we speak."

"Why do you go there tomorrow every year?" I asked.

"It is Julia's birthday", Aaron said with a sad smile.

I just looked at him and he continued, "She would always go to orphanages and give things away on her birthday. She would say that she was lucky to find a new family in us after her parents died but, those people aren't. So, she wanted to share her happiness with them."

"Yes, people who don't have parents are overwhelmed with emotions when they get even the slightest love of a family" I told him.

"Yup and two years back Julia gave me a gift from wherever she is", Aaron smiled and I frowned.

"She gave me my life back in the form of a best friend on her birthday", Aaron smiled at me brightly and I knew he meant me.

"So cheezy", I rolled my eyes.

"That's true, Mel. You are the life of my life", Aaron said in all seriousness.

Wow! Just wow! You can say all of this but, you can't say what I wanna hear.

"We should put these for baking", I told him and put the cookie tray in the oven. I set the timer and turned to start cleaning up.

"Leave it. Let's go", Aaron said pulling my hand.

"But, where?" I asked him as we walked out of the kitchen.

"I need your help", he said and pulled me with him to his study.

He opened the door and we walked in.

I looked around as he was pulling me with him. I had come in here before. Like months before we got married. It still looked pretty much the same. The same table and chair. Dark walls and matching couch.

"What are you doing?" I asked Aaron as he was searching for something in the corner.

He came with two huge photo albums and handed them to me. I almost stumbled back with the weight.

"Aaron, what is this?" I asked as he went to the corner again and picked up a bag and came back.

"I'll tell you", he said and pushed me to walk out of the study to the living room.

"Sit", he said settling on the couch. I sat next to him and he opened the bag. I saw that he removed black photo frames from the bag.

My eyes widened as I realised that those were the frames that he had removed from the walls of his bedroom.

"Aaron.."

"Mel, I had removed these from the walls because they kept reminding me of you and due to my prejudice, I hated it because I thought you just acted innocent. But, now I want to put them up again and I want to fill this house with our memories one more time. So, I have bought a few more frames and we need to select photos for them so that we can hang them around the house like you always wanted", Aaron smiled at me.

"Aaron, I...", my eyes welled with tears.

"It is not that bad an idea. You don't have to cry", Aaron joked making me smile.

"Also, these are the albums of the pictures from our...our wedding. We can select pictures from there too, if you are feel like it", Aaron shrugged lightly.

"Our wedding pictures? When did they come?" I asked with excitement.

"A long time ago. I just never bothered to see them or tell you about it. But, better late then never. Let's see them together?" Aaron smiled and opened one of them.

We flipped through the pages as we looked at all of those pictures. Each picture brought back so many memories. But, they also brought back memories from last five months. I started feeling angry again. But, this time my anger wasn't directed at Aaron but, at another man who deserves to die in hell.

"Aaron?" I said drawing his attention to me.

"Yeah?"

"I have always believed in the greater good. I am telling you this with that belief. Marcus will pay for his sins one day and that day will arrive soon", I told him with a serious face.

"I told you, Mel. I am leaving it to destiny. I don't want to talk about any of that any more", he told me.

"He ruined so many lives, Aaron", I told him sadly.

"Fuck him. Guess what?" Aaron said.

"What?" I asked.

"Whatever happens, happens for good. The fact that that bastard was not present at our wedding will only make the memories better. We won't regret anything when we recall them in future", Aaron smiled at me.

"Yes", I smiled back.

But, I will always regret some things. I thought sadly.

"Let's continue", I told Aaron with a forced smile.

Aaron nodded and we looked at a few more picture selecting few of them to put around the house.

"Oh my god! That is such a beautiful picture", I cooed looking at our family picture.

"Yes, it is", Aaron smiled and removed it from the album.

He took out a photo frame and fixed the picture in it.

"How does it look?" he asked showing it to me.

I smiled and nodded in approval. It looked perfect. Just perfect little family.

"I never thought of this before. But, I just came to realise that you always said that you love hanging pictures around the house but, I remember that in your old apartment you hadn't hanged many pictures. There were only a few photos of yourself as far as I remember. Why?" he asked me.

"I never had a picture with anyone I want to always keep in my heart", I smiled sadly.

"You did have your best friend Luke, right?" Aaron shrugged.

"We were friends in high school, Aaron. We had spent only four years together and there weren't many pictures taken in those years. I think I should have one or two from our graduation day but, nothing worth hanging", I shrugged.

"No worries. Now you can hang all the picture you want", Aaron smiled and went back to looking at the albums.

"Aaron?" I asked after a few minutes.

"Yeah?"

"Do you have...Julia's picture?" I asked him.

He gulped and frowned saying, "Yes, why?"

"Would you mind if I ask you to add her picture to one of these frames?" I asked him.

"Mel...you would do that?" he asked me with surprise.

"Yes, I mean she is my sister too, right? Just like Daniel is my brother?" I asked him biting my lip.

A tear fell from Aaron's eyes as he nodded and got up. He went to his study and got a few pictures in his hand. He gave them to me. Some of them were from their childhood, some from their family vacations and some from Julia's graduation.

There she was smiling as if the world revolved around her. She looked so happy and pretty. Her chestnut brown hair matched Aaron's. She had green eyes were shining with happiness as she stood next to her family. Her face had an innocent smile.

This is the first time I saw her and just the thought of all the insanely cruel things that asshole did to her made me want to bury him with my bare hands.

I smiled at Aaron and gave him the pictures back as I held a few of them. I took a frame and fixed a picture of Julia and her brothers from their childhood in it and showed it to Aaron.

"How does it look?" I asked him softly.

He just looked and me with teary eyes and took the frame from my hands. Silently, he kept it away and pulled me into a hug. We broke apart after a few second and Aaron smiled at me wiping his tears.

We spend the rest of the afternoon putting up all those frame around the house and laughing at all the crazy mishaps at our wedding like drunk cousins, missing bridesmaid, cribbing guest and Daniel's drama about missing shoes.

"Shoes?" I asked Aaron.

"Yes, he lost his shoes somewhere. You know how he has an obsession for shoes, right? To add to it, he is an insanely big drama filled person. He literally started yelling as if it was the end of the world for him", Aaron laughed.

"Then?" I asked with fits of laughter.

"I told him he could just wear any of his old ones. He has so many black shoes. He could just grab one. But, he said that how can he go to his own brother's wedding with an old pair of shoes. At one point, I had to remind him that it is my wedding and not his. I even offered him to wear my shoes. But, he just wouldn't stop yelling at his secretary. That poor girl was scared to death. Finally, we realised that one of our cousins had accidentally worn his shoes", Aaron rolled his eyes and I laughed harder.

Aaron shook his head and said, "That doesn't even end there. After we found out, Dan wouldn't stop arguing with my cousin and mom wouldn't stop until Dan said sorry to his secretary. I am telling you I have a crazy family."

"We have a crazy family", I said correcting him.

He looked at me and smiled, "We have a crazy family."

After a second, Aaron continued, "I swear I wonder if he was this choosy and filled with drama for my wedding, what will he do when he gets married."

"If he gets married", I laughed.

"What do you mean if he gets married?" Aaron frowned.

"Well, you know how he is, right? I doubt he will be ready to be in a serious relationship", I raised an eyebrow at Aaron.

"Yes, but, that doesn't mean that he would never be ready. It is just a matter of time until he finds the right girl", Aaron shrugged.

"It is not that easy. What if he doesn't want to change his ways?" I asked.

"He will."

"How do you know he will change?"

"Well, I changed for you", Aaron said before he could realise it.

I looked at him with surprise and he just averted his eyes.

"I..I mean people change when they...they find the right...right reason", Aaron shrugged.

We changed the topic and talked a little bit more about work and other topics, as we moved around the house and sat down on the couch tired as hell, until finally Aaron got up from the couch.

"Where are you going?" I asked him.

"I have a conference call with a client. Remember that Duke's family? They want to build something else", Aaron shrugged and I nodded.

Aaron left to his study to attend his conference call while I just watched some movie. I was distracted when my phone pinged.

'Did you tell him?' - Luke

'No. Did you find anything?'

'Not yet.' -Luke

I sighed with disappointment and texted back.

'Keep trying.'

"What are you doing?" I flinched as Aaron spoke behind me.

I quickly hid my phone and said, "Nothing. I was just...just texting Luke."

Aaron looked at me weirdly and just smiled with a nod.

"How did the conference go?" I asked him.

"Good. We sealed the deal", Aaron smiled.

"Congratulations!" I said happily.

"Thank you. Also, they have a party at their home in three days. We are supposed to go."

"We?" I frowned.

"Yup, you are invited specially", Aaron smiled and I groaned.

Aaron chuckled and said, "Relax. It is just a party."

"I always get so bored in those, Aaron."

"You won't be bored, I promise", he smiled.

"Also, get ready by nine tomorrow morning. We'll go to the orphanage and then visit Kingston House to check on the progress", Aaron said.

"Me? You want me to come with you?" I asked him.

"Yes, you didn't think I'd go alone, did you?" Aaron frowned.

"Well, I thought it is an important day for you", I shrugged.

"Any day that is important for me, I will always want you to shared it with me.

"But, this is related to Julia", I bit my lip.

"So? I can see that Julia is important to you to. You are related to her too and I am sure she will like it", Aaron smiled.

I smiled and nodded, "I'll go with you."

"Great! How does thai sound for dinner?" he asked.

"I can cook something. Why order from outside?" I asked him.

"Come on, it is our five month anniversary. We have done a lot of work since morning. Aren't you tired?" he asked me.

"A lot of work? Hanging up photo frames is a lot of work? I didn't know you were a lazy ass", I laughed.

"Well, not really but, it's okay. We can just order for tonight. Why waste time cooking when you can talk to me?" Aaron asked.

"All I have been doing since morning is talking to you. I haven't spoken so much with you in last five months combined", I rolled my eyes at him.

"Exactly. We have to make up for those five months", Aaron said seriously.

"Aaron-"

"No, Mel, seriously. I wanna make up for everything that I did wrong in the last five months. I want to help you forget everything and go back to how we were before these five months", Aaron said looking at me.

"I already forgot everything, Aaron. Actually, there is nothing to even forget. I told you there is nothing you have to apologise for or make up for. It is all in the past. Last three days have been one of the most beautiful days of my life", I smiled at him.

"Fine then. Let's watch a movie and the food should arrive shortly", Aaron turned his attention to the television.

"Arrive? When did you order?" I asked him.

"I ordered before I came to this room. I knew you would never say no to thai. It's your favorite cuisine", Aaron winked at me.

"Then, why did you even ask me?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Courtesy sake."

I just chuckled and shook my head. We decided on a movie and started watching it.

Soon the food arrived and we started eating while watching the movie. As we completed our dinner, the movie ended too.

"That was nice", I smiled at Aaron.

"Yes, it was", he smiled back and then frowned looking at my face.

"What?" I asked with confusion.

"You have some curry there", he pointed to my face.

"Where?" I asked and touched my lips.

"There", he said again pointing to my face.

"Where? Do one thing, you wipe it for me", I said getting frustrated.

"Sure", he said and leaned forward capturing my lips into his.

He sucked on my lips and pulled me by my waist. My hands were on his waist pulling him closer. He pushed me back so the my back hit the couch seat. He continued kissing me as he hovered on me. His hands travelled upwards and my hands curled against his back clenching his t-shirt as he bit my lips sucking on them.

His lips left mine and he kissed my cheek. My eyes were still closed as I did not dare open them. My heart was beating fast as if I had just ran a marathon. He brought his lips to my chin and bit me their lightly.

Then, he trailed kisses along my jawline and finally kissed my neck. My toes curled and I let out a soft moan as he sucked on my sweet spot.

Slowly, he got his lips close to my ears and whispered, "Good night, Mel."

My eyes shot open and I looked at him in shock. He smiled and winked at me.

"What hap-" I started but, was cut off by him.

"We have a long day tomorrow. Rest well", he said and got up and left to his room leaving me confused.

What just happened? Why does he always leave after kissing me like that?

I blushed as I thought about what just happened. I mean I know it is not the first time we did this. We have made out many times before tonight. Before marriage too. But, usually I would stop him because I didn't want things to go further. I really thought that something more would happen today. But, today he didn't even try. He just left as if he was controlling himself.

Now, it is another thing that I don't know if I want it to happen. I mean he hasn't said anything to me yet about what he wants to do with our marriage.

As I got up and left to my room for sleeping, my thoughts wandered to all the events of today. Aaron's behaviour has gone back to how we were before these five months. Even though he hasn't said it explicitly, I know in my heart that he wants to give this marriage a chance. I know I want it too. After knowing the truth, it would be dumb of me to give up on him, not that I want to anyways. I want to give this marriage, our relation and my feelings a chance. Being a believer of god and destiny, I feel that if destiny didn't want us together, it wouldn't have played this game. We were meant to be.

And, I think he feels so too. I feel that any day now he will say what I want him to say which makes me fear more because even though I am anticipating it, I don't want it to happen without Aaron knowing the truth. Initially, I wanted to tell him as soon as possible but, later decided not to until I know something for sure.

Hopefully, Luke will give me an answer soon and then, I will finally be able to tell him.

"What the hell! Let me sleep!" I yelled as Aaron continued knocking on my door.

"Get up, Mel. This is the last time I am saying this before I open the door", Aaron continued knocking.

"You are bluffing, It is locked!"

"I have the master key. Wake up!"

"Why? It is sunday!" I groaned into my pillow.

"Yes and we are supposed to go to the orphanage", Aaron reminded me making me jump out of the bed.

"Shit!" I exclaimed and opened the door.

Aaron turned to looked at me with a smirk.

"You are not ready either", I frowned.

"That is because we are supposed to leave in thirty minutes", Aaron smirked. "I knew that I would have to wake you up if we want to leave on time, sleepyhead", he chuckled.

"I am sorry", I pouted.

"I wonder how do you to wake up on time for office?" he chuckled.

"I had a demanding boss ready to fire me", I smiled lazily.

"You still have a demanding boss ready to fire you", Aaron laughed.

"Still ready to fire me?" I asked.

"Yes, of course. Now that you are the boss' wife, it doesn't mean you don't follow office rules. You are still supposed to reach at nine", Aaron said in his bossy voice.

"I am glad people in office took me being the boss' wife well and didn't change their attitude with me. I was almost scared that they'd think I am some sort of gold-digger", I gave him a relieved look.

"They know you are better than that. Get ready fast", he said with a smile.

"Thirty minutes tops", I said. Aaron nodded and I rushed to the bathroom.
