《A Bromance to Remember》Goodbye [FINAL CHAPTER]

Dream was cramming the last of his belongings into his suitcase. "It seems like whenever I go on a trip I have to pack more on the way home."

George giggled while watching his friend struggle to close his bag. "Well, maybe, if you would have packed yesterday like Sap, we wouldn't have this problem."

Dream glared at his friend over his shoulder before resuming his god-awful task.

He sighed and stepped back, the suitcase still wide open. "George, come here."

George hesitantly obliged.

"Sit on the suitcase," Dream instructed.

George did as he was asked. With the extra weight on the lid of the suitcase, Dream was able to zip it up fairly easy.

The two stepped back and just looked at the suitcase for a few moments, unsure about what to say.

"Do you guys really have to leave?" George finally said.

Dream laughed a little. "Yes, George. I hate to break it to ya, but I have a cat, house, and family in Florida, so I have to go home."

George stared at the floor. "I was... thinking about your offer. I really want to come with you guys, Dream, but I just can't right now. Maybe...maybe I can once I've had some time."

Dream nodded. He had never been in a situation like George's, so he couldn't relate per say, but he did have sympathy for him anyways.

"Guys," Sapnap said, walking into the room. "We probably need to get going if we want to catch our flight."

George nodded and Dream grabbed his suitcase off of the floor. They made their way outside where an Uber was already waiting for them.

The airport the Jimmy's jet was at was about 30 minutes away from George's house, but the slow Uber driver turned it into 40.

Finally, they were at the airport. George had been dreading this day since Dream and Sapnap had arrived.

The three boys made their way through the thin security of the tiny airport. And, soon enough, they were standing on the runway looking up at Jimmy's private jet.

"I'm really gonna miss you guys," George said.

Dream just ignored his words and pulled him into a hug. This hug was different, though. It wasn't just a 'we're good friends hug', but it was more of a hug you give someone when you don't know if you'll ever see them again.

After about a minute, Dream let go. George was gasping for air.

"Dream you *breath* crushed my *breath* lungs!"

This caused Dream to start wheezing. Once George was breathing again, Sapnap pulled him into a tight hug. It wasn't nearly as long as his and Dream's hug, but it meant the world to him anyways.

Finally, the steps to the jet lowered and someone came towards them to grab their luggage and remind them that takeoff was in 5 minutes.

George smiled at his friends, who then turned and began to walk towards the jet. Sapnap walked up first, immediately making his way towards his seat.

Halfway up the steps, Dream turned around and sprinted to George, almost tackling him in a hug. George was savoring every last moment he had with his friends.

Before pulling out of the hug, Dream mumbled into George's ear, "I love you, George."

Normally, this would cause George to squirm and become uncomfortable. But after being through so much with his best friend, he wasn't uncomfortable anymore.

"I love you too, Dream."

Dream stepped back, his eyes watering a bit. Then, he finally turned and hopped onto the jet.

As George made his way back through the airport, his vision was clouded with tears. He didn't bother wiping them away, he just let them flow down his face.

He hoped into his Uber, not saying a word to his driver. He just stared at the headrest in front of him as the tears continued to fall.

Before the three had met up, talking online had been enough. But now that they had met in person, it was almost impossible to be separated.

To George, it felt like his friends had run away with a large portion of his heart, leaving him feeling empty and sad. But little did he know, they felt the same way.

Sapnap and Dream sat on the jet mostly in silence. It was hard to enjoy the luxury around them with the storm of emotions going on inside.

Sapnap felt exhausted, but he couldn't fall asleep.

Dream felt starved, but he couldn't bring himself to eat.

The two just sat there, not knowing what to do without their best friend.

"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."

In case you haven't figured it out yet, this was the last chapter in this book. I'm sorry I didn't give you a more 'happily ever after' ending, but I wanted to be realistic here. Honestly, writing this was one of the most fun things I have done in a while. I loved reading your comments every day when I was bored out of my mind with quarantine. Thank you so much for reading, I really hope you enjoyed. I'll start another book soon, don't worry. I love all of you guys so much. Thank you for reading my first story on WattPad and getting it to over 2,000 reads.

Much love,
