《A Bromance to Remember》The Flight

George stares at the suitcase sitting on his bed. He tries his best to go over his mental list of what he needed to pack. His excitement, however, overwhelmed his reasonable thinking.

George flopped back on his bed with a sigh. Tomorrow morning, George would be boarding a plane to take him to Florida to see his best friend, Dream.

After packing away his last few items, George decided it was time to shower up and get ready for bed. He brushed his teeth, glanced in the mirror, and walked back into his bedroom.

As he climbed into bed, George realized that his excitement wouldn't let him sleep. No matter, he turned off his light and lay in his bed, tossing and turning for hours before he eventually drifted off.

George jolted up in his bed in a cold sweat, having had another nightmare. He turned to look at his clock. It was 5:45. Seeing that he was going to get up at 6 anyways, George decided to go ahead and get out of bed. He turned off his alarm, swung his legs to the side of his bed, and eventually stood up.

George, after brushing his teeth for the final time in his apartment for a while, finally got his suitcase ready to take to his car. He grabbed a granola bar for breakfast, his keys, his phone, his cat, his wallet, and he went out the door to his car.

Since George was going to be gone, his cat, Cat (that's his name not a typo), was going to have to stay somewhere. George decided that he would ask his mom to watch over her.

George had called his mom last week to make sure that she didn't mind. This was the first time that George had spoke to his mom since his dad had passed away. George's mom had said yes, but mostly because she wanted to see George. After 8 months, his mom really missed him.

George arrived at the house he grew up in. It was a small little town house tucked into the outskirts of London, surrounded by other quaint little neighborhoods of family houses. The people in the area seemed fairly nice, so George wasn't too worried about his mom living alone.

As he walked up to the front door of the house, he began to have memories of his rough childhood here. It wasn't like his parents were bad to him, but George had always been bullied in school. In 8th grade, it had become so bad that George had to be removed from public school to learn at home instead. This was what would later lead to him becoming a streamer and, one day, a Youtuber.

George tapped on the front door, Cat's kennel resting under his arm. Seconds later, George's mother flung open the door and immediately pulled George into a hug. George did his best to hug back, considering he was still holding Cat.

"I've missed you George," said his mom, gently releasing her son from her embrace.

"I missed you too, mum," George replied.

"I know you have to get going, but I just wanted to see your face. You can sit Cat over there, I will let her out after you leave," his mom said.

"I can't tell you how thankful I am for you doing this. I really wanted to come back home sooner but..."

"I know it's been hard sweety. Just know that you are welcome to come by anytime that you like."

George smiled at his mom. He gave her one more brief hug before walking back out to his car.

He arrived at the airport at around 7, giving him plenty of time before his 8:30 flight. He decided to text Dream, just to make sure that he had not forgotten that he would have to pick him up this afternoon.

don't forget to pick me up at 1:30 today

how could I forget :)

This relaxed George slightly, leading him to take a short nap in his chair at the airport.

"Boarding flight 2187 at Gate 9"

George sat up groggily in his chair to the sound of the intercom. He stretched out his back, which was stiff from sleeping on the hard plastic of the chair. He hopped up, grabbed his bags, and began to make his way towards his gate.

Dream rushed around his house, attempting to ensure that everything would be perfect when his friend arrived.

George had texted him at around 3 that morning to remind him to pick him up that afternoon. The notification had not woke Dream up, however. Actually, Dream had yet to fall asleep since his sleep schedule is a mess. After receiving the text, Dream drifted off to sleep for about 5 hours.

As Dream decided everything around his house was as good as it would get, a realization dawned on him.

"SAP!" Dream yelled to his roommate and other best friend.

"What..." Sapnap replied, giving the clue that he had just awoke.

"WE HAVE A PROBLEM!" Dream yelled, causing Sapnap to stumble from his room and into the hallway.

"I thought you had perfected everything," Sapnap said with an eye roll, ensuring he mocked Dream's voice.

"Where is he supposed to sleep?"

"On the couch, obviously."

"There's no way I'm letting George sleep on the couch. Do you know how uncomfortable that thing is?" Dream ranted.

"Gees, if it's such a big deal, than just let him sleep in your bed and you can sleep on the couch. Or hey, better yet, I think we have an air mattress in the hall closet."

Dream nodded. "Okay...I just wanted George to have the best possible experience he could while visiting America for the first time."

Sapnap took a step towards his long time friend, placing his hands on his shoulders as he spoke.

"Dream. He is going to have an amazing time. I know it."
