whilst Bucky made his way to his friend's apartment. Bucky had asked for me to accompany him to the building as he was going to tell his friend that he was the one who killed his son.

Before Bucky knocked on the door, he looked to me with a pained expression. I gave him nothing more than the most reassuring nod I could, feeling sympathy for him.

The door opened and Bucky was invited in. After a while, he was back out and heading slowly down the corridor towards me. Instead of stopping, Bucky kept going but stopped by the stairs. He slightly turned his head before speaking, "did you wanna get a drink?"

"No."I replied, "why don't you come back to mine? You shouldn't be alone right now and I can make you some food."

Hayley and I arrived at the harbour, being invited by Sam to the cookout. Many people were there and I spotted Bucky playing around with some of the children, pulling faces and play fighting.

Bucky came over to me and Hayley, greeting Hayley with a side hug and then hugging me and managing to kiss my cheek at the same time.

We spent the afternoon going on into the evening talking and sharing good food between us, cracking jokes. Later on into the evening, Bucky took me away from everyone Earl, asking if we could talk and directed me over to the harbour wall, hand in hand.

"What's up?" I asked him with a kind smile.

He looked at me for a moment with a tilted head, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. Straightening his head, Bucky then held my hand in his again, entwining our fingers.

I rolled my eyes, smiling with a stifled laugh and looked out at the water. "Well, I'm glad flirty Bucky is back." I teased, looking into his icy-blue eyes.

"I'm only like this for you." He commented back with a little smirk.

I pulled face, scrunching my eyebrows in disbelief as I scoffed, "that is such a lie."

Bucky's mouth fell agape, looking offending but I could tell he was joking. "Wha- what does that mean?" His smirk grew back again but he tried to hide it.

"When I first met you, every girl you came across, every shop cashier, every waitress, you would always, always," I playfully pointed at him when he tried to correct me, "present them with the same little smile and flirty joke."

Bucky scoffed again with a laugh, "okay, okay," he put his hands up in a surrender, "maybe you're right, maybe I'm a flirty guy. But," he pursed his lips, "I always flirted with you the most."

I smiled up at him, a smile which he returned before I placed a cold hand on his cheek, leaning my face closer to his. His hands went on my waist, pulling me impossibly closer as our lips connected in a soft, blissful kiss that felt more special then the last.

Slowly, we both pulled away, keeping our hands on each other. Bucky smiled again as I faced outward towards the water with his arm going behind my back and keeping me close. Placing a kiss on the top of my head, he gently squeezed me and I eventually rested my head against his chest, the two of us watching the boats gently bump in the water.
