"I hate Mondays." I said as Garrett and I headed into the library. The college took a bunch of people on a field trip, which resulted in the cancellation of most of our classes. We messaged each other and planned to meet up an hour or so before lunch time to just talk and hangout. "I think everyone does, even if most of their classes are cancelled." He said with a slight laugh, and I agreed. We got a study room, which allowed us to be alone rather than having to be around everyone else. Plus it gave us the privilege of watching a movie or YouTube videos together since all study rooms had a computer and a tv. "Can we watch the first season of Sherlock?" Garrett asked me curiously. "Sure." I replied with a smile. He logged into his Netflix account and then pulled up the feed from the computer onto the tv. We had the lights turned on just so the librarians knew someone was using the study room. Neither one of us wanted them to think we just left without checking out of the room. Garrett offered to grab us some food since it was lunch time, and I just told him to surprise me with whatever he got us. I checked to see if I had all of my homework finished and then scrolled through Twitter for a while as I waited. A few more minutes went by, and Garrett knocked on the door. I left him in, and helped him with the food. We played the second episode while we ate the salads he got for us. I've actually been craving a salad, which would doesn't know me. I'm not the healthiest eater, but I do love a salad every once in awhile. Garrett got up to throw his trash away, but stopped to look out into the hallway. "Hey Raven, come here." He whispered and waved his hand for me to join his side. He crouched down so no one could really see him, and I couldn't help but wonder what the hell was going on. "What?" I asked in a whisper as well as I walked over beside of him. I ended up crouching down as well. When I looked through the door window, I saw a jock type of guy trying to chat up one of those popular looking girls; we could hear some of the conversation, which was hilarious and somewhat painful to listen to at the same time. A dark figure passed the door, but we didn't really pay any attention to it. Suddenly, the figure came back, and when we looked at it we both dropped to the floor from laughing so much. Garrett reached up and opens the door for Mr. Depp, who had the funniest expression on his face. "What the hell are you two doing?" He asked with an amused look in his beautiful brown eyes. "We... we were.... we were listening to that guy attempting to chat up that girl out there. It was quite amusing." Garrett said between gasps of breath. He turned towards the two popular type of people and then back towards us again. He quietly and quickly came into the room and shut the door behind him, before he assumed our previous positions. We joined him, which made Mr. Depp crouched between the two of us. We were so close I could smell his cologne, and he smelled heavenly. All of my attention went to Mr. Depp instead of the conversation we were eavesdropping on, and I hoped he didn't notice. "Well, this was fun, but I have to go get some stuff taken care of. I'll see you in class Raven." Mr. Depp said kindly. We all stood up and said our goodbyes before he left us on our own. "Damn he smelled good. I'm surprised you weren't swooning." Garrett said with a smirk on his face. "I'm not that kind of girl Garrett, and you know that." I said with a slight laugh. "I know, but I have to heckle you. I wouldn't be your best friend if I didn't." He said with a laugh as well. "True." I replied. We finished the second episode of Sherlock before I had to leave for Mr. Depp's class. We were just gonna continue working on our painting projects, which gave me some relief. Especially since he lets us listen to music while we do our artwork, which meant I didn't have to listen to the other girls talking about him. As soon as I got into the classroom I grabbed my canvas and a paint pallet to fill it with the colors of paint I needed. I also grabbed the brushes I wanted and filled up a cup of my water for rinsing the brushes. Once I had everything I needed, I headed to my seat and started working. The classroom filled with students, and most of them grabbed their stuff. Mr. Depp walked into the classroom and made sure everyone was there. "Lindsay, Britney, and Felicia.... why didn't you grab your supplies like the others? You know I want all of you to get started as soon as you enter the classroom." Mr. Depp said with a slight edge to his voice. "Sorry Mr. Depp." "We just forgot." "Sorry." They all said in a flirtatious tones. I grabbed my phone and plugged my ear buds in before scrolling through my playlist to find a song I wanted to listen to. I ended up settling on When Doves Cry by Prince. It's probably my favorite song by Prince to be honest. We had to paint the same thing we drew in our charcoal drawings, which was much easier to draw on the canvas once you already drew it before. It took me no time to sketch it out and start painting. I decided to start painting the flowers first, since it's the most important thing in the picture in my opinion. I wanted it took realistic, but with a sort of impressionist sort of feel to it. I really wanted to do something different, since I knew everyone was just gonna focus on the realism aspect of the project. After a while I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked over to see Mr. Depp, so I took on of my ear buds out to hear if he had anything to say. "Those flowers look amazing. I really like what you're doing with the soft blues and tints of teal." He said with a small smile on his face. "Thanks." I replied with a smile of my own. "I can't wait to see the end result." He said, smiling a little more before he walked off. I put my ear bud back in, and carried on painting. I had the flowers half done when he asked for us to stop working. I actually kept painting while the others fought for sink space before Mr. Deep reminded them that they could go to the bathroom to wash out there pallets and brushes. When everyone left, I decided to clean up. I find cleaning up just as relaxing as painting itself. It sucks when you're surrounded by people though. I put a piece of plastic wrap on my pallet to keep the colors I mixed; I didn't anna make new colors and not have them match the next time I painted. Then I washed out my brushes and put everything away. "The last one to go, I see." Mr. Depp said, and I smiled slightly. "Yeah, I guess so." I replied with a slight laugh. "Have nice evening, Raven." He said with an adorable smile. "You too, Johnny." I said, which made him smile even more. I walked out of the classroom and texted Garrett that I was just gonna head home. He and I were gonna hangout, but I just didn't feel like it. As I walked out to my car, dark clouds were moving in and I could hear a rumble of thunder in the distance. 'Nice, a good thunderstorm.' I thought inside of my head. I've always liked storms, even as a little kid; I always found them relaxing. I put my backpack in my passenger seat before I got in on the driver's side and tried starting my car. I turned the key four times, but the thing just didn't wanna start. "Fuck me." I said out loud. It was gonna rain and I'd probably have to walk all the way home. 'Just my luck.' I said inside of my head as I got out of my car. I popped the hood to see what was wrong, but nothing seemed out of place. But then again, I'm not a mechanic. "Is everything alright there?" I heard a familiar voice ask me curiously. I looked around to see Mr. Depp walking towards me. "My car won't start." I said with an annoyed sigh. "Let me have a look at it." He said. "Oh no, I couldn't ask you to that. You're probably really busy." I said, feeling guilty. "No, it's fine. I was actually on my way home anyway. Here, hold my suitcase for a second." He said, and I did so. He leaned over the engine of my car and I examined it. 'He'd make a hot mechanic.' I thought inside of my head. 'Shut up, now you're starting to sound like those other girls.' I said to myself. "Well, everything seemed fine to me. Maybe you should have it looked at. Has it given you any problems before?" He said as he closed the hood of the car. "No, it hasn't done this before. I'll have to get someone to look at it, but right now it looks like I'll be walking home." I said with a slight laugh. "Do you need a ride home? I'd be willing to give you a lift if you want. It looks like it's gonna rain anyway, I don't want my favorite student getting sick." He said, and I giggled slightly. I mentally cursed myself at my reaction, but I had no control over it. He smiled and ran a hand through his hair. "I don't want you to go out of your way to help me." I said, sobering up slightly. "Nonsense, come on." He said with a smile. I grabbed my backpack and locked up my car before following Mr. Depp to his. I was shocked to see a black Ford mustang. "You literally have my dream car." I said as he opened the passenger door for me. He just smiled, and I thanked him for opening the door for me. He shut it before getting in himself, and I gave him directions to my house. "Do you wanna listen to some music?" He asked me curiously after we drove in silence a little ways. "Sure." I replied with a smile. He turned on the radio, and All Around The Watchtower by Jimmy Hendricks came on. "I love this song." I said, and he smiled. "I knew there was a reason I liked you." He said, which made me laugh a little. If I was in my car alone or with Garrett I would have probably sang along to the song, but I was too shy around Mr. Depp. Before long he pulled into the driveway in front of my house, and I thanked him several times. "No problem." He said before we said our goodbyes. I made it inside just in time, because it started pouring down the rain. After I got myself something to eat, I took a long shower and texted Garrett.

You'll never guess what happened to me.

What happened? Are you okay?

I'm fine, but my car isn't. It wouldn't start when I tried heading home, but Mr. Brown Eyes gave me a ride home.

Awww. That's go cute!!

Lol. He was just being nice.

Yeah, but still. XD

We talked for a little while longer before we said goodnight. I could hear the faint rumbles of thunder, but decided to charge my phone anyway. I climbed into bed and fell into a deep sleep. The next morning I woke up and got ready like every other Tuesday. After looking through my clothes, I finally decided on something to wear. The rain had stopped, but the sky was still covered in dark gray clouds, so I wanted to wear something a little different. I decided to wear a pair of ripped blue jeans, my Barns Courtney t-shirt, a pair of black and gray converse. 'I need a coat or something.' I said inside of my head. The cool temperatures of fall time were finally settling in, especially since it was almost October. Autumn is probably my favorite season to be honest, but I do love spring as well. I spent a few minutes looking for the right jacket to complete my look, and that's when I spotted it. My leather jacket; my uncle bought it for me a few months before he passed away. I put it in the back of my closet, because I just couldn't bring myself to wear it. But something just felt right about pulling it out and dusting it off. I took the plastic covering off of it and looked at it for a little while before I slipped it on. It still fit perfectly, and it made me smile. I grabbed my phone and put it in my pocket before grabbing my backpack. As I was walked downstairs I suddenly realized that my car was still sitting in the college parking lot. "Shit." I said out loud. As if the universe was on my side today, someone knocked on the door. I furrowed my brows, wondering who could be at my house this early in the morning. Before I considered opening the door, I looked through the side window and seen Mr. Depp standing there with his hands in his pockets. I opened the door and a smile spread across his face when he laid eyes on me, and I smiled as well. "Hey, I... I thought you might need a ride to college since your car is out of commission. I hope I didn't overstep any boundaries or lines." He said as he ran a hand through his hair. He was wearing a dark blueish gray buttoned t-shirt, which was covered with a black vest. The pants he was wearing were white, which was different. I never thought he'd be the kind of guy to wear light colored pants, but that's mostly because I've always seem him in dark ones. I guess we both decided to dress a little different today. "No, it's fine. I actually just realized I didn't have my car a few seconds ago." I said with a slight laugh. "Oh." He said with a slight laugh as well. I locked up the house behind me, and we walked towards his car. He opened the door for me once again, and I thanked him. "Barns Courtney. Who's that?" He said after he got into the car himself. "Oh, he's a singer. He's actually pretty good, do you wanna hear some of his music?" I replied. "Sure." He said as he pulled out of the driveway. I plugged my aux cord into his stereo and played Fire by Barns Courtney. He seemed to like it, which made me happy. It's always nice knowing you probably got someone into a singer or band that you like. "Have you had breakfast yet?" He asked suddenly. "No. Have you?" I said. "No. I was thinking about picking something up at The White Rabbit. What do you say?" He said. "That sounds fine with me." I said. He pulled up to The White Rabbit, which is my favorite cafe. Everything is Alice In Wonderland themed, which is amazing. I told him what I wanted and handed him money, but he refused. He came back to the car with breakfast bagels and two large take away cups of coffee. "Thanks, but I couldn't have paid for my own food ya know. You did take me home last night, and now you're taking me to college." I said, feeling guilty. "It's fine, Raven. Don't worry about it sweetheart." He said, and I felt my cheeks flush. "Fine." I said as I quickly looked out of the window. I really hoped he didn't see me blush. We ate our breakfast on the go, which he seemed accustomed to. Before long he pulled into the college parking lot, and I unplugged my aux cord and phone. "I'll let you go in first, so people don't suspect anything." He said. "Okay. I'll see you in class then. And thanks for picked by me up, and for the food." I said with a smile. "Don't mention it." He replied with a smile. I slung my backpack on and headed towards the college after I shut his car door. 'He called me sweetheart.' I said inside of my head, and my stomach filled with butterflies. I couldn't help the soft smile that was on my face the rest of the day. "He called you sweetheart!? He's so into you." Garrett said as he put his long blond hair into a ponytail. "He was just being sweet." I replied, but he kept insisting that Mr. Depp had a thing for me. "I like your outfit by the way. Where did you get that leather jacket? I've never seen you wear it before." He said, changing the subject. "My uncle got it for me a few years ago. I stopped wearing it after he passed away, but something just told me to put it on today." I replied. He said he was sorry that my uncle passed away, and I said it was alright. I've been able to put that grief behind me, but I do still miss him every once in awhile. "I think you made the door right decision. It looks really good on you." He said with a smile. "Thanks." I replied. We talked some more as we ate our lunch, and I mentioned that he should get a haircut. He agreed, but he wasn't sure how he wanted his hair to look. The day seemed to fly by, and I was suddenly walking towards my other art class. Our projects for this class was making a stamp. We have to create a design and then transfer it to a piece soft lanolin so we can carve it out. Once we do that we can roll ink on it and make prints. I did a few of these I'm high school, and I just find them annoying. The carving process is fun, but I hate the printing process. When I walked into the classroom I got started right away just like last time. I set up my carving station and got to work, but I made sure I listened to some music as I did. The rest of the students came in and did the same as me, unlike the other art class I had yesterday. Mr. Depp decided to cut the class early today, and I figured it was because he had to take me home. Everyone cleaned up and hurried out of there, but Mr. Depp asked if I could hang back. He had a few things to do before he left, and he didn't want me waiting in his car for him. I continued to keep carving until he was finished. A few minutes went my, and my hand slipped. I ended up cutting the side of my middle finger. It wasn't deep, but it hurt and I was bleeding. "Damn it!" I said and hurried over to the sink to wash my hands. "What happened?" Mr. Depp asked curiously as he walked into the room. "Shit, you cut yourself didn't you? Hold on, I'll get my emergency med kit." He said as he hurried into the other room. I dried off my hands, and he came back with antibacterial gel and a bandaids. "Here. It's gonna sting a little." He said as he applied the gel, and he wasn't kidding. It did sting, but I didn't give any indication that it had. He gently placed the bandaid over my injury and gave it a quick, yet gentle kiss. "There, all better." He said with an amused look in his eyes. I laughed slightly and looked down at the floor, but I could feel my cheeks heating up. He laughed as well and helped me clean everything up. "Are you ready to go?" I asked him curiously as we shut the classroom lights off. "Yeah, just let me lock the door." He replied. When he was finished we walked down the hallway and outside to his car. He opened the door for me and I thanked him. "Let's get something to eat before I take you home. I'm starving." He said as he turned the key in the ignition. "Sounds good to me." I said, and he pulled out of the parking lot. He ended up taking me to The White Rabbit, which I thought was risky. Almost everyone at the college goes there, and I was afraid someone would see us there together. I didn't want people spreading rumors that could potentially make him lose his job. When we walked into the restaurant, I was surprised that we were the only ones there. A twenty something girl with red hair and green eyes walked up to us. She asked what we wanted to drink, and we got a pot of tea to share. "So, tell me a little about yourself." He said once our waitress left. "What do you wanna know?" I asked him curiously. "Everything." He said with an attractive look in his brown eyes. My insides melted, and I caved. I told him about my favorite bands all the way to my family members. He seemed interested, which surprised me. Most guys don't listen very well, at least all of the ones I've met other than Garrett and apparently Mr. Depp as well. In exchange he told me a lot about him as well, but he left enough out to leave me intrigued. I hoped I did the same when I told him about me. We finished our food and tea; I ended up having to force him to let me pay half of the bill. "You wanna hear a good song?" He asked me curiously once we were back into the car. "Sure." I replied. I'm always up for discovering new music, and I think he kinda knew that. He turned on the radio and plugged his phone up to it. The song just grabbed a hold of me and wouldn't let go. And in a way, it sort of made me think of Mr. Depp quite a lot for some reason (below are the lyrics to White Flower by Rafferty).
