《Wanna Join a Band? (TodoBakuDeku)》Chapter 8

Eventually, Sero, Kaminari, Shinso, and Kirishima all had to leave. Katsuki and Shoto, on the other hand, didn't seem to be in any sort of rush.
"Why're you two still here?" Izuku asked, a slight whine to his voice. If everyone was gone, that meant he could clean, or do homework, or whatever it was he did in that recording studio he owns....
"If shitty hair is going to book us a gig, then we should probably have an actual singer." Katsuki said, not really answering Izuku's question, but letting the green haired boy figure it out.
He immediately shook his head. "Nope, no way. I already told you guys I wouldn't. What's wrong with who you have singing now?" Izuku asked. He hadn't been able to hear perfectly, seeing as all the noise was muffled with the floors, but whoever was singing didn't have a bad voice either.
"I'm singing and the entire band agreed that it would just be temporary until we found an actual singer." Shoto said with a sigh. He might not have a half bad voice, but it wasn't amazing by any means. He'd much rather just play the guitar and not have to worry about singing.
"Well I'm sorry, but I'm not gonna join." Izuku said, sitting down on the adjacent couch. He pulled up his fuzzy blanket, almost disappearing into it.
"Why the fuck not, Deku?" Katsuki asked, annoyed with the 'no' answer they were getting. He couldn't understand why Izuku wouldn't just join. He had a good voice, not that Katsuki would say that out loud.
"Because I said no." Izuku snapped back.
Katsuki sneered at him, not appreciating the attitude. Before he could say anything else, Shoto placed a hand on his arm, silencing him.
"If he won't join, then he won't join. We can't force him to." He said, trying to reason with the blond. He didn't have much hope for getting Izuku to join, he could clearly tell how uncomfortable Izuku was with idea, so he wasn't too terribly disappointed.
The blond just grumbled to himself, crossing his arms and leaning his back into Shoto's shoulder. He kept his crimson eyes locked onto Izuku's emerald ones as he glared daggers.
Izuku wasn't fond of this for multiple reasons.
First off, Katsuki was a very intimidating person in general, so anyone would be uncomfortable with his glare.
Second, he and Katsuki had a not so nice history. It made his glare that much more terrifying.
Third, he may or may not have had a crush on Katsuki most of his life and seeing him all cuddled up with his boyfriend wasn't a pleasant sight for the poor green bean. It hurt his heart a little bit, but at the same time he couldn't help but be happy that Katsuki seemed to, in fact, be happy with Shoto.
"Can you guys leave now?" Izuku asked, his voice significantly softer this time around. He couldn't find it in him to fight with them about it, he just wanted to have his home back. At least for a little while.
Katsuki and Shoto seemed to notice the shift in his attitude. Over the course of this interaction, the two had thought they were keeping it fairly light and almost teasing most of the time. If Izuku had snapped and seriously wanted them to leave, they would have.

Which he just did.
"Um yeah, we can go." Shoto said back, looking over at Katsuki, seeming perplexed. The blond shrugged in response, not having a clue either.
Katsuki stood up first, awkwardly waiting for Shoto to follow. Once they were both up and to the door, Katsuki hesitantly turned back, holding the door with one hand.
"'Guess we'll see you later, Deku." He muttered, before he turned and followed his boyfriend out of Izuku's part of the house.
Once Izuku was sure they were gone, he made his way into the recording room. He didn't bother with the door, knowing that the two boys wouldn't come back anytime soon. He set himself up in his comfy desk chair, the fluffy blanket he brought with was nearly drowning his lower half.
The sleeves of his sweatshirt were too long for him and covered his hands. His fingers were just barely peaking out as he turned his monitor on and clicked through the different programs and tracks he had set up.
"Do I actually want to record or do I just want to edit?" He whispered to himself as his eyes scanned the different folders that held many unfinished projects.
"I really need to record, but I honestly don't want to right now." His words were mumbled together, and anyone else but him would have probably had a hard time understanding, but thankfully he didn't have to worry about that.
"Do I even want to do anything?" He asked, looking down at the keyboard in front of him. He had thought he was in the mood to work, but as soon as he got everything set up, his motivation went out the window.
He sighed as he shut everything down once again. Now he had no clue what he wanted to do.
He couldn't work, clearly. He didn't feel like doing homework. He didn't feel like scrolling through Instagram endlessly. He didn't want to watch tv.
Izuku didn't really feel like doing anything.
Which is how he ended up sitting on his couch for hours, staring blankly at his wall and getting lost in his own thoughts.
It wasn't anything deep or dark, just simple things he felt the need to think through. From making a mental note to learn to cook, to running through his work schedule for the upcoming week.
Eventually he was able to pry his eyes away from the wall and come back to his senses. He patted his back pocket for his phone and pulled it out. No important notifications, but he did take note of the time.
He had been sitting on his couch for nearly four hours.
Izuku clicked his tongue as he set his phone down. "Well that's not healthy." He mumbled.
He pushed himself off the couch and wandered through his hall and into the kitchen. After doing a once over and determining that he had absolutely no food, which he already knew, he walked back into his living room.
"That was pointless." He mused.
"Well if they're just gonna wonder into my house, might as well return the favor." He muttered, walking out his door, the blanket still snuggly wrapped around him.
Izuku made his way down the stairs and to Katsuki and Shoto's front door. He didn't even bother to knock as he walked right in and towards their kitchen, flicking on the light when he entered the room. He knew they were bound to have at least a snack of something for him to steal.

He was rummaging through their fridge when he heard the footsteps. He didn't bother to turn or acknowledge them.
"What the fuck, Deku?! It's one am, why the hell are you here?" Katsuki asked him, propping the baseball bat he had grabbed against the wall. Shoto was next to him and both males and clearly just woken up.
Izuku peaked his head above the refrigerator door and eyes the two carefully. "Beating me with a baseball bat? Just like old times." He said as he close the fridge and hopped onto their counter so he could have easier access to the cupboards.
Katsuki gaped at him and Shoto looked at Katsuki with wide eyes.
"A baseball bat?" Shoto asked him in disbelief.
The bond's eyes snapped to his boyfriend as he quickly shook his head. "What, no! I never beat him with a baseball bat! What the fuck, Deku?!" Katsuki said quickly.
Izuku just shrugged, his back still to the two boys. "Thought it'd spice of the conversation." He said casually.
"Spice up the- What the fuck?! You can't just go around telling people I beat you with a fucking baseball bat!" Katsuki exclaimed, watching as the green haired gremlin shuffled on his knees across the counter to get to different cupboards.
"Why? Because they'll actually believe me? What does that say about you, Kacchan?" Izuku asked, finally determining that they had nothing good in their cupboards. "Jesus, why don't you guys have any food?"
Shoto walked over to the freezer and grabbed out a popsicle, throwing it to Izuku.
"Not really what I was looking for, but I'm not complaining." Izuku said with a shrug, taking the wrapper off.
"Did you seriously break into our house at one am to eat a fucking popsicle?" Katsuki asked him, utterly shocked by the other boy's actions.
"Not a popsicle specifically, but I wanted food and all I have is koolaid packets." Izuku said, taking a bite off the top of the frozen treat.
Katsuki cringed at his actions. "Did you just bite a fucking popsicle? Get the fuck out, Deku."
Izuku stilled his movements and looked directly at Katsuki. "Oh, so when you two break into my house it's completely fine, but the second I break into yours it's an issue?" He shot back. It wasn't harsh or anything, he seemed very aloof at the moment and it was unsettling for both of the other boys. What exactly was wrong with him?
"I'm gonna make a wild guess and say you weren't sleeping before you came here." Shoto spoke up, pushing himself up to sit on the counter a little ways away from Izuku.
"Ding, ding, ding. What gave it away? The obviously sleep deprived attitude, me breaking into your house, which I would never do with a clear head, or the fact I made a joke about Kacchan beating me with a baseball bat?" Izuku asked, focusing all his attention on the sugary food in front of him. He was now eating it semi normal, licking the sides and nibbling on it ever now and then.
"All of the above." Katsuki said with a groan as he placed a hand over his eyes. "You know, some of us actually can sleep and were before you broke into their house with the munchies like the fucking demon you are."
"It's not like I chose to be awake at one am, Kacchan. If I could be asleep right now, I would, but I guess some of us just aren't that lucky." Izuku said back, still seeming fairly detached from the conversation as he finished off his popsicle and threw the stick into the trash that was next to him.
Shoto sighed at his response and grabbed his wrist, pulling him off the counter.
"Physically throwing me out? I didn't expect that from you, Kacchan maybe, but not you." Izuku pointed out as he was lead through the hallway, but instead of continuing to the front door, they stopped into front of an open bedroom door.
"Icyhot, what the fuck are you doing?" Katsuki asked with a tired tone. He really just wanted to go back to sleep.
"Oh sorry, we could go sit in the kitchen again until morning if you'd prefer?" Shoto offered, not waiting for a response before he continued into the room, dragging Izuku with him.
"No seriously, what the fuck are you doing?" Izuku asked, restating Katsuki question.
"Well it got you to sleep last time." Shoto mumbled, laying down and abruptly pulling Izuku down to lay on his chest again.
"Whoa bro, in front of your boyfriend? Don't people usually try to hide these types of things?" Izuku asked and Shoto wasn't one hundred percent sure if he was joking or not.
"Deku, you could make out with him right now and I would not give a flying fuck as long as I could go back to sleep." Katsuki said as he laid down on the other side of the bed and pulling the covers over him.
Izuku shrugged. "Well I mean if you're okay with it then I don't have any complaints."
Shoto just shook his head, a faintly amused smile on his lips. "Just sleep, Midoriya."
Izuku tried and failed to stifle a yawn. "Fine, fine, but not because I want to. I'm only doing it because I fear for my life if I don't."
Katsuki scrunched his brows at that, not that anyone could see it in the dark room. "Deku, what're you even talking about?"
"Todo's scary, Kacchan. You don't just tell this mans no." Izuku stated as he laid his head against the two toned male's chest and got comfortable, letting his eyes drift shut.
Shoto looked over at the faint outline of Katsuki. "He's told me no multiple times."

8 1690The Exodus Project
This is the original version of Origin before I rewrote it. It's much more simpler, some names and personalities are a little different. THere's nowhere near as much back story or character development/interaction. But the story is essentially at the end of book one. I wrote this 15 odd years ago, and with a bit of polish it doesn't look too bad. The story like Origin is about a group of college students who find a ship that is the last remnant of an ancient human space faring civilisation, they fix her up and go back into space. Along they way they'll meet alot of aliens, religious fundamentalists and conmen.
