As the sun hit Y/N's face she immediately woke up.

She rubbed her eyes to get the sleep out. As she yawned she heard a soft knock on the door.

She groaned softly and got out of her bed.

As she opened the door her eyes widened a bit. "P-Prince Wook, what are you doing here?" She asked softly.

Her eyes then widened at what she had said. "Oh my gosh. Please forgive me for being so rude." She said as she bowed to him.

Wook chuckled softly. "Its okay Myung Hee. I just wanted to apologize for the other day. I didn't mean to overlook you."

Y/N shrugged her shoulders. "Its okay. I'm quite used to it." She gave him a soft smile.

Wook frowned slightly at her statement.

Y/N then looked up at Wook. "Have you ever regretted not telling somebody something?" She asked him softly.

Wook thought for a minute before shaking his head no.

Y/N bit her lip. "I have. There was so many things I wanted to tell them, but they left and I never got the chance to. Please Prince Wook don't be like me and wait. You may never get the chance to say what you want."

Y/N spoke softly. Wook looked at her with curious eyes. He was intrigued by her. She was young but seemed so mature for her age. Then again so did Hae Soo.

Wook smiled and nodded. "I'll make sure to keep that in mind Lady Myung Hee."

Y/N smiled softly. "Okay. I'm glad. Thank you for apologising Prince Wook. You didn't need to though." Y/N told him.

Wook shook his head. "No I did. I feel bad about yesterday." Y/N smiled again.

"Well you don't have to. Again I'm quite used to it, but thank you for apologising." Y/N said as she bowed.

"Sorry Prince Wook but I must be getting ready now. I promised Lady Hae that I would spend the day with her. She hasn't been feeling well lately." Y/N said softly.

Wook's eyes widened slightly. "She hasn't been feeling well?" He asked.

Y/N's eyes widened slightly. "S-She hasn't told you?"

Wook shook his head. Y/N frowned. Her eyes widened a bit at a realization.

"Prince Wook? Would you mind filling in for me? I just remembered I have something very important I have to do. I'm sure Lady Hae would love your company. Tell her I'm really sorry and that I promise to make it up to her! Thank you!" Y/N rushed out before she closed the door. Not giving Wook enough time to answer.

Y/N smiled. "Maybe this will help Wook realize that he really does love Lady Hae, and maybe it will give Lady Hae some peace." She mumbled to herself as she started to tear up.

Y/N knows that Lady Hae is supposed to pass away but she wasnt sure when. In the drama they made it seem really soon, but it was different here. There was so time skips to make the storyline go faster. So Y/N wasnt sure when this tradgey would strike.

Y/N quickly wiped her eyes. She grew very fond of Lady Hae very quickly. She was like a mother to Y/N.

Y/N took a deep breath in to try and calm herself down. Hopefully her plan will work to get Lady Hae and Prince Wook closer together before Lady Hae's time.

As the day went on she made sure to avoid the palace as much as she could. To make it seem like she was busy.

Y/N decided to visit the village once again.

As she was wondering around the village her eyes caught a hair pin that was for sale.

She gently picked it up. It was a beautiful hair pin. It was a black hair pin with three different colored gems on it with a rose petal hanging off on a string with a couple beads.

She admired the pin for awhile before she gently set it back down.

"It's a beautiful pin."

Y/N jumped. She quickly looked over and saw Jung and Baek Ah standing beside her.

Jung laughed. "Sorry Lady Myung Hee we didn't mean to frighten you."

You quickly shook your head. "I-Its okay. I'll live." You joked.

Baek Ah smiled as Jung laughed at your joke.

"It really is a beautiful hair pin though." Baek Ah commented.

You nodded as you stared at the pin. Your eyes wondered over the other pins as well. "I wanted to get Lady Hae something, but the pin caught my eye. I think it's more my taste than Lady Hae's though." You smiled sheepishly.

As you looked over the other hair pins you heard some commotion down the street.

There was a little boy and his mother being intimidated by a much bigger male and it didn't look good.

The little boy was standing in front of his mother trying to protect her.

Y/N grew nervous. The situation didn't look good.

The little boy was grabbed by his shirt and thrown to the ground.

Anger grew inside Y/N.

She immediately walked toward the older male. "Hey!" She yelled.

The older man looked over at her in surprise.

"Who do you think you are throwing an innocent child around?" She asked as she stopped right in front of him and glared at him.

The older man smirked. "Awee and what are you going to do about it? Hit me? Hah I'd like to see that." The older man laughed.

Y/N's eyes narrowed.

The little boy then stood in front of his mother again. The older man lifted up his hand ready to smack the little boy.

Y/N grabbed his hand preventing that from happening.

"Lay one hand on that little boy and you'll regret it." She spoke.

The older man turned on her. "I've had enough of you." He said as he grabbed the front of Y/N's hanbok.

Y/N didn't back down though. She continued to glare at the older man.

"Wow. You're such a big man. Fighting women and young children. Does that make you feel like a man? Picking on people that are weaker than you?" Y/N said.

The grip on her hanbok tightened. "Watch your mouth little girl." The older man growled.

Y/N could hear footsteps behind her. She held up her hand to stop the two princes that she knew were behind her.

She didn't want to get them into trouble.

Y/N then smiled at the older man before kicking him in the stomach. He older man immediately let go of her to clutch his stomach.

Y/N then walked up to him and slapped him across the face.

The older man groaned once again. The older man went to grab anything that was close to him.

Y/N looked around also. She smiled slightly when the younger boy came up to her and gave her a wooden broom.

She grabbed the end of the broom and brought it down on the older man. He immediately fell to the floor groaning in pain.

"Okay! Okay, I'll leave them alone." The older man pleaded.

Y/N smiled. "Good. Now how was that for a little girl?" She taunted him.

She smiled when she felt something run into her hip. She looked down to see the younger boy hugging her.

She smiled and knelt down. She gently wiped the younger boys tears.

"You're safe now. You know, you're a very brave boy. Protecting your mother like that. I know she's so proud of you." Y/N told him as she continued to gently wipe his tears.

"T-Thank you so much." His mother said as she came up to Y/N and her son.

Y/N stood up and smiled gently. "No need to thank me. I'm sure you're son would've done a great job at protecting you guys." You told them.

The little boy smiled widely at you. You giggled softly. "I should get going but you have a really brave boy ma'am." You said as you bowed to her before leaving.

As you turned around you saw the stunned look on both of the princes's faces.

You tilted your head and smiled at him.

"See? I can handle things on my own" you laughed softly.

Both of the boys smiled. "You sure can." Jung said.
