Y/n's pov:
As we walk towards the bookstore we look at a sign about a book signing and mione gasps in glee. I raise an eyebrow at her.
Y/n: what's wrong mione?
Hermione: we get to meet him. I never met an author before and he wrote almost our entire list.
M/n: the creep is an author! Hopefully he isn't a new teacher.
We look at my mother confused when a man in blue robes and gold hair walks forward with an egotistical smile and poses for a photographer from the daily prophet.
Ron yelps as the photographer steps on his foot making him look in our direction and spots Harry and Lily. I sensed lily not liking the attention so I grab her and pull her back with my metal eye glowing red.
(A/n: that is how y/n's metal eye color looks)
Lockhart: it can't be....Harry and Lily potter. Come here you two, together we will be the front page!
Harry steps back a little bit but gladly goes forward to stand next to Lockhart while lily stays back but she is pulled from my gasp.
Draco's pov:
I watch as the death bringer pulls lily away from the creepy man that her egotistic idiot of a brother. I smile at how what she told me before getting on the train home was true, that l/n protects her. I see her pulled from the death bringer's grasp and I grab one of Lockhart's books and throw it at the man and it wacks him in the shoulder.
Lily's pov:
As Harry and Lockhart pull me from y/n's grasp and he yelps as a book lands on his shoulder. I look at where the overlook is and see Draco do a little victory dance which makes me smile for a second before I feel lockhart's hand go from my shoulder to my lower back to my ass which makes me disgusted and nervous but he is stopped by y/n zapping him. Lockhart is knocked into ten tall towers of his new book.

Y/n: really?! You are a grown adult man and she is twelve. Keep your hands to yourself foolish idiot! Come lily and mione let's go.
I follow y/n and Hermione to the exit and Draco comes down the stairs.
Draco: I saw what Lockhart tried to do to you lily. Are you ok?
Lily: I'm ok Draco.
Draco looks behind us and sneers at someone. I look behind us and see my brother coming toward us and he gives me a stack of Lockhart's books.
Draco: famous Harry Potter can't enter a bookstore without getting front-page and without keeping his sister safe from creepy grown men whose hands go too low. Bet you liked getting front-page didn't you potter?
Ginny: he didn't want any of that leave him alone.
Draco: oh look Potter is hoping to be like that foolish man and it seems you already got a girlfriend.
Mr. Malfoy: Draco play nice. The Potter twins we meet at last.
A man with the same hair color as Draco entered with a cane with a silver snake head.
Mr. Malfoy extends his hand to harry and grabs Harry's hand pulling harry closer to him. After Harry and Mr. Malfoy's little chat I see him look at me and brings his hand out so I do as well and he shakes my hand like a business person making a deal. As Draco and his father are about to leave the pervert announces that he is the new dada teacher causing me, Draco, y/n, and y/n's mother to groan in displeasure. Mr. Malfoy looks at y/n's mother and they chat til Lockhart approaches her with an arrogant grin.
Lockhart: m/n it's been so long. Are you feeling attracted to me now?
Mr. Malfoy: what makes you think she will like you when she never did in our school years?

M/n: leave me alone gildick. I never liked you and I will never love you no matter what!
Lockhart: if it's about our age gap then age is just a number to the power of love.
Mr. Weasley: that is just wrong.
Mr. Malfoy: that is something we can agree upon Arthur Weasley.
Lockhart: come on m/n don't you love me just a litt-
Me, Draco, m/n, Mr. Weasley, Mr. Malfoy, ron, ginny, Fred, George, Percy, Harry, Mr. Granger, Mrs. Granger, and the other males laugh at lockhart's scared face since y/n threw a book in Lockhart's face which Lockhart caught after and stares at it as the title says how to understand when a witch says no and is getting angry.
(A/n: that is how y/n threw the book)
As Lockhart looks from the book towards y/n I see his metal hand twitch like he wants to strike but is calculating the best moment which scares Lockhart more.
I see Mr. Malfoy looking towards Hermione and her parents in a disgusted way a racist would before he and Draco leave. After we exit the bookstore I see Hermione slap the back of y/n's head before hitting him with a book.
(A/n: 00:06 to 00:08)
Y/n: ow! What was that fo-? Ow calm down mione! Ow!
We watch Hermione chase after y/n with a book in her hand making us laugh. I see those two would make probably a really good couple in third or forth that would last till the end of their lives.

Gaming on a MUD is difficult.
This is a story based on my characters background and journal that I played on a mud (Multi User Dungeon) over the course of several years. Dozens of people play a text based command line game at the same time. I figured I'd try to turn in into a story to see if anyone found it interesting. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think. This is my first time so not very experienced. It is a story about how going into a multi player game expecting a typical RPG experience turns into something else because other players are involved.

The Book of Hickory
Now why did Hickory go and punch that Angel? Sure it spooked him, popping up right there at lunch, and yet, it wasn't fear that balled his hand into a fist - Cause wouldn't you? Wouldn't anyone - with a sick Ma at home, Da long dead, buried, all them prayers piling up on bruised knees, unanswered? Hickory was angry, all right. He was fierce, now - cause that Angel didn't show up to give no help, that Angel came by asking for it - with all that power just plain to see, the power to fix the world and all that ails it! And now look what poor Hickory has to do - to save the world? Now how is he supposed to do that when its taking near everything he's got - just to keep them chickens safe, Ma fed, and himself out of trouble - All he wanted was maybe just a dance with May, maybe a bit more, to hold her close? That she's sweet, now, a voice like an angel, but now she's over there lookin at him like he's more than a man. And that's not to say Hickory is bad, not all the time, not ever on purpose - just there are things a man has to - That drinking and fighting ain't wrong just as long as the chores are done proper first, that those parts of life that make it worth living ain't no sin, that loving a lady is proper and Hickory just has so much love to give! And May is special, right, sweet and soft, now she's sophisticated. That she wears her passion like a pearl necklace? That certainly Hickory would notice, naturally - that she's already spoken for, perhaps taken? That ever since Hickory came back, that all she can think about is swallowing - those strange feelings, because it wouldn't do, would it? For a Lady? But certainly she can worship him and still be seen with Weston Covanger? Because Weston needs May, that what happens in the Study is only half the battle, the Men's Business, and he's far too proud to settle for half of anything. That if he wants to move up the ranks of his family, to be more than a Covanger, to become the Covanger? He's going to need a woman in the Kitchen as well - he's going to need May. And if that seems a bit old fashioned? A bit too much like the Wild West? Well the West is starting to get wild again now that everyone starts to Drink. A different take on LitRPG where answers aren't given - they must be earned, discovered and fought for, one at a time. An orator style, a long read, filled with magic buildings, crafting, alchemy, but most of all - This is a story about the human spirit. About understanding what defines a person, their morals, their beliefs, and also faith when everything they understand becomes challenged - changed. So do they. People can change. They will. Just not always for the better, not always - sometimes. Sometimes that's enough. Sometimes that's even everything.
