Eylimi's POV:
--------------------
Thunderdrum training today. Yay.... Alright, before I die, I might as well spend the day with Cloudjumper. I got on my clothes and walked downstairs hoping not to wake anyone up. I creeped out the door and shut it, quietly behind me. I made my way across Berk and into the forest. It was quiet. Really quiet. So quiet I could hear my own heart beat.
"Eylimi?" I heard from behind me.
"Ahhhh!" I screamed. I turned around kind of shocked. There, Hunter stood holding his sword.
"You alright?" He asked.
"Yeah, you just uh, gave me a fright." I responded.
"Gave you a fright?" He repeated with a sarcastic face.
"Yeah, uh what are you doing here?" I asked. Looking behind him to see Cloudjumpers tail in the distance.
"Um, I'm here every day to practice with the sword." He responded.
"Uh, uh, uh, you are?" I stuttered.
"Yes." He answered.
"Um, I've never seen you here this early before." I say. Trying to distract him as I saw Cloudjumper stick his head up.
"Probably because not many people are up this early." He said.
"Hehe, yeah." I coughed.
"What are you looking at?" He asked as he turned around. I rushed in front of him, blocking the view.
"Oh, nothing. I just saw a butterfly." I respond.
"What's going on?"
"Going on? Nothing. I just came down here for a stroll." I say.
"What was that?" He asked as we heard a bush rattle.
"Probably just a squirrel."
"Didn't sound like a squirrel." He said and began walking that direction. I tried to push him back but it was as if I was merely a fly.
"No, no, no! Uh, shouldn't you be getting back to your sword throwing or whatever you do?" I asked.
"No, I've got time. Why are you holding me back?" He asked.
"No reason, just, there might be a bear or something." I say.
"A bear? Really?"

"Yeah, who knows." I say.
"Wait a second." He pushes me aside with wide eyes. I saw Cloudjumpers head stick up from behind the bushes. "GET DOWN." He pushed me to the floor and was about to get up to try and try to mussel him so he couldn't hurt us.
"No!" I yelled as I tossed the net out of his hand.
"He's not dangerous." I said.
"Who is he!" Hunter yelled.
"Hunter, Cloudjumper..." I began.
"Cloudjumper!!! You found him?!" He yelled, getting up from the floor.
"Yeah, and he is trained so don't hurt him please." I begged as Cloudjumper nudged me friendly.
"You ride it?" He asked seriously.
"Uh, uh, uh. Hehe" I stuttered.
"Your so busted." He said shaking his head as he ran.
"That's it I'm dead!" I said to myself as Cloudjumper walked off. "Hey! This is your problem too!" I yelled at him.
--------------------
Hunter's POV:
--------------------
She trained a dragon already?! That explains a lot then. But now she rides it! I want to be nice and not tell anyone but if I don't then I'm in as much trouble as she is. I ran quickly, trying to get back to the village but I was picked up. I found myself in the claws of the giant four winged creature.
"Ahhhh! What are you doing! For the love of Thor!" I yelled up to her as she stood on his back.
"Give me a chance to explain." She begged as Cloudjumper kept flying.
"A chance to explain? You have explained enough! No wonder you are the best in class!" I yelled.
"Look! The rules are stupid okay." She said.
"They are to keep us safe! Don't you listen to your own father?!" I shouted. Still hanging on for dear life.
"I do listen to my father. I just don't listen to my chief!" She said.
"You're nuts!"
"No, this is!" She said. She patted Cloudjumper and suddenly he dropped me. I could see the land far below.

"AHHHHHH! OKAY, OKAY! I'LL LISTEN!" I screamed, hoping she would catch me. I landed on the back of the dragon as we began flying again.
"Good! Now look here! I have been stuck doing nothing my whole life and I am not about to let you just go and take all I've got away. I refuse to follow the rules. I need freedom. And by the end of today I will finally be free to be with my dragon!" She yelled madly at me. I never knew she could sound so violent.
"Okay, okay, I get it. I didn't think about it that way. I'm sorry." I apologised. I can't believe I just did that. Vikings never apologise. Well that's one thing to tick off my bucket list.
"Really?" She asked, surprised.
"Yeah." I responded. How can I not say I'm sorry. I've had a crush on her for the past year. Sad Hunter. Real sad.
"Grrrr." Cloudjumper growled.
"I would hang on to something if I were you." She smiled. Wait, what? Suddenly Cloudjumper shot up. Why? Why? While Eylimi stood there hanging onto the staff I was hanging onto one of Cloudjumpers spikes for dear life.
"Ahhhh!" I screamed as suddenly he dove. I fell, landing on Eylimi. Cloudjumper pulled back up and we fell the other way.
"Seriously, again?" She complained trying to untangle her leg from mine. We stood up as she placed my hands on the staff. I hung on tight not knowing what to expect. She laughed at what must have been my scared face.
"To fast! To fast!" I muttered. Cloudjumper suddenly stopped flying. We froze in the air for a second. "Oh no! Back on! back on! Cloudjumper!!!" I yelled as I begged him to fly again.
"Woah!" Eylimi yelled as she slipped. She hung on to me before she fell off. The dragon began spinning and I felt sick.
"Alright, alright. Please. Stop." I begged through breaths. The Stormcutter stopped before we hit the ocean and began gliding. Thank gods. I stayed seated, trying not to fall off. Eylimi had her arms around me, holding on. YES! Cloudjumper continued gliding, only using two wings. We looked over the ocean and admired the sunrise. Eylimi rested her head on my shoulder. Okay, this is the best day ever.
"Grrrrrawwwww!!!" Cloudjumper screamed as he dove. Suddenly me and Eylimi were handing on for life as the dragon dove into the water. We hit with a splash as we found ourselves in the middle of the ocean. I looked back at Eylimi who was still holding her breath. Cloudjumper began trying to swim. I look forward to notice a giant grey beast swimming away. It's tail made the water move back so we were pushed further away. Cloudjumper snapped out of it and noticed he was underwater. He quickly swam up, leaping out of the water, into flight.
"Uh!" Eylimi and I coughed, catching our breath.
"Did you see that?" I asked her.
"Yeah, weird." She replied. We both looked down to just see the blue ocean nothing more. Cloudjumper started flying back. We landed in the field. I jumped off and landed on the mossy floor.
"Do you think that thing is dangerous?" I asked her.
"Well, it's not here. So let's just keep it at that." She answered.
"Final test today." I changed the subject.
"Oh, yeah. Better go dry up then." She said, pouring the water out of her bow bag. I felt a punch. Ouch!
"Hey, what?" I questioned.
"That's for wanting to tell the others." She said. A thought came into mind.
--------------------
Eylimi's POV:
--------------------
"That's for wanting to tell the others." I said and squeezed my braid, removing the water. Suddenly I felt him kiss me on the cheek.
"That's for forgiving me." He said. "Bye Cloudjumper." He yelled as he walked away. Haha! No way on Thors good planet! Finally! YES! Odin loves me today! Cloudjumper nudged me.
"Uh, what, what do you want?" I stuttered as he ruined the moment.

Old Riding Author Lunatic Asylum
Just off the A19, in the dark, incomprehensible lands known as Yorkshire, there lies a town. A town where shadow-silent alleys glint with the secret hunger of knives. Where blood soaks the chipboard window shutters of forsaken terraces stretching off into the night. Where the smog-choked air rattles with the depraved laughter echoing out from clubs that can only generously be described as post-apocalyptic. Well, that’s Middlesbrough. But down the A19 a bit (an impossibly long way down, actually) there lies another town: Raughnen, in the ancient, forgotten Old Riding. It is an equal match in muggery and thuggery alike. It also has magic spells and pointy wizard hats. And now, across the miles and across all sensibilities, a pretty nasty power (a magic one) calls out for its pretty nasty counterpart (a decidedly unmagic one): a proper sound Boro lad. Nothing good can come of it. This is a collection of one novella and four connected short stories: I. A Yorkshire Summoning II. Old Riding Day Trip (the novella) III. Heaven is a Parmo IV. Death on the 66 V. Death on the 257 In total, this comprises 34 chapters totalling around 35,000 words, so try not to worry. It will be over relatively quickly. There are three more short stories with more tenuous links to the core collection: Rush, Paper Round and Scenario 79: Sausage Fingers, all of which can be found in my collection Short Records of Misadventure. Reading these may allow you to make more sense of certain parts of the story, if any sense is to be made at all. NOTE: There are instances of prejudice and discrimination within these stories, including elements of sexism and ageism, which are purely the thoughts and actions of the characters involved and which certainly do not reflect my own views on these matters. ANOTHER NOTE; A WARNING, PERHAPS: This can get a bit weird. In less than 150 pages, we have four viewpoints, first and third person narratives, and a completely disjointed plot with lots of gaps, dead ends and no real resolution. Also ZERO lunatic asylums. It's all a bit odd. If that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea, which it most likely isn't, it might be best to move on now.
