Mbali: You taking me out!
Sanele: Do I have a say in this?
Mbali: Uhh, no not really.
Sanele: You so beautiful, where do you wanna go?
Mbali: Let's go to the mall I kinda need new clothes since I'm so big now.
Mbali groaned as she inspected herself in front of the mirror. Sanele had got in the room, he's been staying home a lot more since the Dr's appointment.
He got up from the bed and made his way to her. He held her from behind and he kissed her neck softly. Her hands instantly went to his hand that were now on her belly, as she leaned to his chest.
Sanele: You have no idea how sexy you look right now.
Mbali: Aww what are you saying Mr. Nkosi?
Sanele: You, sthandwa sam are the epitome of sexy. Periodt.
Mbali: Periodt.
She giggled and he felt content seeing her so happy and knowing that he was the reason for her happiness.
Sanele: Come on let's go take a shower so I can spoil the soon-to-be mommy.
Sanele: Hai Mbali hurry up hao.
Mbali: Uhh wait lemme get my purse.
Sanele groaned. Mbali had been in the room for an hour. He finished thirty minutes ago but with her. Sanele whistled as soon as she appeared in front of him. All the irritation flowing out of the door. Mbali was so caught on finding her phone in her purse that she was oblivious to the man ogling over her. She finally looked up and raised her eyebrows at the sight in front of her, Sanele, had his short-sleeved white polo shirt with Straight Pleat Chino Pants with trainers.
Sanele: It'd be nice if we left today, please.
Mbali rolled her eyes and walked away.
Mbali: Would you stop doing that!

Sanele: But it's so cute!
Mbali: Oh my God!
Mbali sighed as she watched Sanele rummage through the stack of baby clothes. How she agreed to get inside the shop is beyond her. Sanele found everything cute and adorable. Her feet were starting to sore up. But nevertheless, watching a big man like him gush over baby things was so cute.
Sanele: What about this?
He held up a fluffy baby suit. It was cute, like the last few items.
Mbali: hmm
Sanele: The least you could do is show some enthusiasm.
Mbali: The least you could do is feed me.
She glared at him with her hands on her hips.
Sanele rolled his eyes and put the clothing back. Sighing he took her hand and went to pay for the few things he bought, each item came in two. A boys and girls outfit.
Mbali gave up a long time ago trying to stop him from buying so many items, she just let him be. She also found it kinda cute.
They made their way to Steers, it had suddenly become her favorite restaurant. Their meals were so good, especially the chips. They sat down across each other and Mbali relaxed back on the chair, a hand on her tummy. A waitress came and offered them the menu.
Waitress: Would you guys like anything else?
Mbali: Water, please.
Waitress: What about you Sir?
Sanele finally looked up from his phone and raised his eyebrow at the girl in front of him in question.
Sanele: Huh?
Mbali: Gosh, he'll have the same for now thanks.
Waitress: I was asking him.
Mbali looked at her with a hard face while rubbing her stomach soothingly. Making the girl shift in her place. Some women had audacity.
Mbali: You were, but now I'm telling you what he'll have, do you have a problem with that sweetheart?

The girl gulped and shook her head.
Mbali: Now be a darling and fuck off my face.
The waitress bolted to the counter. Mbali was so tired and heavily pregnant, the last thing she needed was a stupid juvenile underestimating her. Was she blind or something. Here she was, pregnant with a man. Didn't that say something, or was she plain stupid.
Sanele chuckled with an amused smirk on his face. Mbali ignored him and searched through the menu. Feeling his eyes on her she smiled but didn't look up. Sanele leaned back on his chair and crossed his arms over his chest looking at her.
Sanele: That was a fucken turn on.
Mbali: Well...
He licked his lips looking at her, grinning he took the menu and started looking.
Soon they ate and called for a bill.
Waitress: That's all thank you.
She touched his arm seductively as he stood up. Mbali snorted. The girl clearly wasn't going to halt there. Sanele was a handsome man, that she would admit. But she couldn't help but want to burst with laughter. It was confirmed now, this girl was plain stupid.
Mbali: Does she see me?
She looked perplexed as she also stood up looking at the girl.
Mbali: Do you see me at all? Do you perhaps see the bump at least?
Waitress: So?
Mbali: Oh you little fathead. I get it he's hot stuff. But love-
The waitress rolled her eyes. Sanele was now taking Mbali's hand and bag.
Mbali: -too bad he's taken.
With that, she winked and they left the restaurant towards their car.
***
Sanele: Are you mad at me now?
Mbali: Do I look mad to you? Don't piss me off.
She looked out the window. Sanele held in his laugh. Ever since they left the restaurant, Mbali has been sulking. It was clear that she was mad at him but she wasn't saying it. That waitress really messed things up for him. She didn't know how hard it was to please a pregnant woman, like Mbali. The woman herself was a bull. He had tried so many times to talk to her, start up conversations but she just plainly ignored him.
He sighed, taking her hand in his. She didn't retrieve it, making him smile. It meant that she wasn't that mad at him after all.
Sanele: I love you.
He took his eyes off the road for a second to look at her. He could've sworn he saw her smiling, which made him smile too. He returned his attention to the road with a content smile. He felt like saying it. She didn't say anything back. But after a few minutes she spoke;
Mbali: I love you too I guess, it's not like I have a choice.
