meilani woke up to the smell of bacon being cooked from her kitchen. it definitely wasn't her dad as he hadn't a notion on how to cook and she made every single meal for him since her mom passed. then it hit her, jj maybank was in her kitchen.....cooking......breakfast? she laughed at the thought. she hopped out of bed and saw him standing over the stove top. he was humming to himself. "morning sunshine" she called out. he quickly snapped around to see the girl standing there in his t-shirt. "i could get used to this view" he joked. "yeah erase that thought, it was a dare" "don't act like you didn't enjoy it" he remarked. meilani stayed silent. "told you so" he sniggered.

the two left the house and made their way to john b's on jjs motorcycle. "there they are" kiara sighed. "sorry we're late" meilani apologised. "they kissed" sarah casually said. "what?" the group said in unison. "jj and meilani, they kissed" she repeated. "how did you know?!" jj freaked. "i'm good at reading people" "oh my god finally" pope sighed. "you next pope" john b smiled. kiara flushed red and pope scratched his neck. "they kissed too" sarah says. "oh my god" "so is this a group thing now? no pogue-on-pogue macking doesn't exsist anymore and we're all in relationships?" john b states.

"it was a dare" meilani speaks up. "don't act like you didn't enjoy it" kiara smirks. jj high fives her "that's what i said!" the group has a small fit of laughter. "look j and i don't know what's going on" "kiara and i are together"

"oh cmon guys everyone's together but you!"

"give it a rest john b, were taking it slow" jj remarks. "whatever you say j"

the group show up to kiaras family restaurant. her dad fed them all, almost everyday. they sat down on the decking. john b and sarah left for tannyhill halfway through and pope had assignments to catch up on. that left kiara, meilani and jj. "i'm gonna go guys, i'll talk to you tomorrow" jj said. "be safe" the girls said in unison. and with that jj also left.

the girls helped kiaras father close and meilani tried the daily routine of trying to get mr. carrera to take money from her to pay for the food. he never once took it and never planned on it either.

"do you think me and jj would work?" meilani asks kiara. "lani are you kidding me? you and jj have been suited for eachother since day one, you just didn't want to admit it." kiara was right, they never wanted to admit feelings incase anything was awkward between them. but meilani couldn't deny her feelings for him anymore and she knew time would tell between them.
