many rumours flew all around A.U school

and one of the biggest rumours that there was

was that midoriya had a massive crush on tokoyami

but in 1A that wasn't a rumour

it was a very well known truth

at least to everyone except the main duo

tokoyami was oblivious to the "secret" and midoriya whenever asked flung his arms in embarrassment and denial (which just made it even more obvious)

it had already been a week and everyone in 1-A (except the main duo) decided it was time to intervene

the next morning as midoriya walked the corridor to class he was suddenly yanked by his bag and pressed against the wall

he was about to yell before a familiar voice caused him to stop

"dude are you ever going to tell tokobro you like him" kaminari asked

this made midoriya to blush and almost baffle in embarrassment before a hand trapped his voice inside his mouth

"very subtle man," sero said sarcastically before continuing "listen, we aren't here to judge you we just want to help"

"I think you two would be a great pair," mina said excitedly

midoriya was surprised, was he that obvious, but then again why was he so worried, his friends cared for him and if they thought they could help, he should let him

and truth is

he couldn't get the bird-headed boy out of his head, his blood but ruby red eyes, his glorious pristine black feathers, his adorable stature and most of all his kind and caring personality

you could always count on him no matter what

and that's why he felt so passionately about him

when he sees him he feels his heart beat faster, his face feels hotter and he couldn't stop a smile come across his face every time their eyes met

"ok, maybe I do, sorta, kinda really like him" he mumbled

"about time! now its time for operation tokodeku!" kirishma yelled happily as he spoke the last bit in the walkie talkie

midoriya hasn't shown up yet, the others I understood

but midoriya

his devotion to his studies was something to behold, his mumbling when he added a piece of the piece had me worried at first but now I find it adorable

he didn't really care for appearances, just how pure a person could be

and midoriya was the purest and determined soul I had ever known

truth was, he was starting to have weird but happy emotions whenever he was close, he didn't tell anyone and nobody suspected it, he was very well mastered at keeping his expressions hidden, having a bird head did help in some cases

but recently he's hardly seen anything of him

just the backside of his emerald green hair

he wanted to talk with him

but as I said, he's hardly seen anything of him

(did he not like me) he thought (did I do something wrong to upset or anger him)

"HEY BIRD BOY" he heard someone yell

it was bakugou

he came marching up with gusto

(did I do something to him as well) he continued to think

"what can I do for you bakugou?" tokoyami asked politely

but instead of returning the question with an answer he grabbed tokoyami by the collar of his shirt and began to drag him out of the room

"Baku no!" shoji and Jiro yelled worriedly as they slapped his hand away from his shirt collar

"Hey, I'm just doing what you asked aren't I" he shouted

tokoyami was confused and tried to leave but bakugou grabbed his collar once again (but by the back) and continued to drag, shoji and Jiro close trying to make him stop

and unfortunately, someone put the lights to the highest point and dark shadow literally refused to come out, just cursing out loud at bakugou

they lead them to an even brighter room and where the main bakusquad members were

(what are they doing here?) tokoyami and dark shadow asked in unison

but that's when he saw the pure soul himself in the centre with the only dark light

(what is going on?) he wondered

(did I do something so bad that they were planning to do something to me)

bakugo finally let him go

"guys maybe this is too much" I heard Jiro say

tokoyami began walking towards midoriya and you could literally hear his heart beating so incredibly fast

bakugou literally dragged tokoyami into the plan

I wasn't so sure about this plan anyway

they said they would "gently" bring tokoyami in

me in the only dark light

and I was to confess

I thought it was perfect

but fantasy is always better than reality

tokoyami started walking up to me

his face could always shield his emotions

but it was clear as day that he was afraid

I needed to stop that

I began to walk towards him as well

he was now walking towards me

we were getting closer

I braced myself for anything

but before I knew what was happening I felt a warm set of lips on my beak

my eyes bulged with surprise

but before I knew what I was doing

I started kissing back

WHAT THE HELL WAS I DOING

I began walking to him

I wanted to tell him there was nothing to fear

I wanted to tell him how much I cared about him, how much I wanted to be with him

and now I'm kissing him

he must be so angry, I had no right to start kissing him without permission

I was going to stop before I felt his beak-like lips sync into mine

he liked it

he liked me

I wanted to cry

but as our lips parted each other

we looked into each other's eyes

and I heard myself ask

"would you like to go out"

I couldn't believe it

midoriya wanted to go out with someone with me

and without even realising it I found myself saying

"I would love to"

both were crying with joy, and both were ready to kiss again before they heard the applause and cheering of all 1-A

tokoyami's feathers went straight up with shock and his face was nothing but red

he hid his face into the first thing there was

midoriya's chest

midoriya took a moment to process this before giving out a little laugh and kissed him on the head

"don't worry, I'll be here to be your shield" he whispered to tokoyami lovingly

few moments passed before tokoyami replied with a whisper of his own

" and I shall forever be your sword to fight off anyone that threatens you"
