(This is the past when Tokoyami was homeless [In Chapter: Rendezvous])
Dark Shadow weeps abruptly stops as footsteps approached.
A pro hero?
He fearfully thought.
Whoever it is, they will not harm Tokoyami.
The footsteps grew louder and louder. A shadow could now be seen approaching them.
"G... Go away!"
Dark Shadow hissed.
The shadow stopped moving, but it doesn't seem to be frightened.
A hand was raised from the corner, then another, showing that whoever they were, they meant no harm.
The figure stepped within view...
Toshinori Yagi stood there, his angular features exaggerated by the deep shadows cast on his appearance.
"It's OK now, I am here..."
--
(This is after Tokoyami's death in 'Heaven' [In Chapter: Rendezvous])
Belenus felt nothing at first. For a split second, it escalated. Lava boiled against his skin and pain erupted from every inch of his body... Yet he held there.
Tokoyami felt Belenus shiver in pain. Slowly, he accepted his hug, placing his hands around Belenus gently to reduce movement.
As he starts to get used to the searing pain, Belenus finally felt the hug. He felt feathers tickling his neck. He felt Tokoyami's small arms around his body.
"We should've done this when we were alive."
Belenus felt Tokoyami shook his head, he tensed at the ticklish sensation of his feathers.
"Don't mind me, but I'd got one too many hugs... Way too much in one year."
Belenus released the hug... But Tokoyami didn't let go.
"You're an exception."
...
Tokoyami and Belenus finally sat on the branch of the apple tree together and chatted. Laughing like they were best friends, something they never had before.
Tokoyami had a family... Now he has a friend to talk to. It was truly a heavenly feeling.
Belenus slowly washed away all his sins by resisting the pain of submerging into a pool of lava.

He experienced much more pain in this dimension than in his own. But it was worth it.
What was physical pain when he's happy?
"We should have nicknames for each other."
Suggested Tokoyami.
"Cool, what's mine?"
"Hmmm... I'll call you Bel."
"And I'll call you birb man."
"What?"
"You look just like him, with your cape and all"
Tokoyami looked down at his costume... And back at him.
And pushed Belenus off the tree branch.
"Get off."
Belenus laughter filled the air... And slowly, so did Tokoyami.
--
(XXX amount of time later)
Tokoyami took another apple like he'd done a couple thousand times before, still never got sick of apples.
He was alone in the apple tree again, looking through the fields.
Belenus had reincarnated into a new life some time ago.
It was fun while it lasted...
Tokoyami sighed, remembering the fun times he has with Belenus.
He wished he'd meet him in his next life.
But, he wasn't ready to reincarnate...
He had a promise to keep.
He would never think of breaking it...
Tokoyami closed his eyes, thinking back to the times he had when he was alive.
...
*rustle* *rustle*
In a flash, his eyes opened.
A movement in the grass.
Tokoyami's head piped up, poking out of the apple tree. He examined his surroundings. It took a while for him to figure out where the movements are coming from...
There.
A few hundred yards away, there was a parting in the grass, but no one could be seen.
Ugh, either they are invisible, or they are really short. Is it Hagakure or Mineta?
The grass in the fields were not tall, so anyone that has an average height or even below average height could be seen.
The apple tree was located on a hill. The grass is shorter there due to the absence of 'sunlight' from the shade of the apple tree.

Tokoyami jumped down from the apple tree, waiting for the figure to waddle its way to him.
No, it isn't Hagakure, the top part of the grass isn't even parting. It must be Mineta.
As the short figure finally made its way to the last of the grass, a person walked out...
It was a person with a crow or raven head.
A person that looks exactly like him.
"Dark Shadow?"
Tokoyami asked, offended that he'd ridiculed his own height.
He nodded.
Tokoyami ran forward to hug him.
"Wh.. Where were you? It's been so long!"
His brother shook his head.
"
Dark Shadow voice was almost similar to his, deep and a little soft. Yet he could tell Dark Shadow and his apart. There was a slight difference in tone and texture.
"So why are you here?"
"
Tokoyami gasped, his feathers fluffing up with excitement.
"WHAT?!"
Tokoyami took his brother hand and started running.
"LET'S GO!"
But Dark Shadow was smiling.
Shut up, you insolent demon.
They both laughed as they ran through the field, the grass towering over their heads.
Right in front of them were silhouettes of what was Class 1A, waving at them to hurry up.
...
Me too!

Dreams or Another World - Not a Zero (Update 09/19/21)
(Updated 09/19/21) Hello and welcome. If you made it this far and the book title sounds interesting, I'm hoping you'll read a few chapters. Here's a sample from chapter 1 of "Dreams or Another World - Not a Zero."Slowly starting to wake up, I become aware. It's like coming out of a fog.Head hurts.Body hurts. There's a conversation in the room. This isn't my bed. Someone is touching my arm. I crack my eyes to look. She doesn't notice. Is she praying for me? Her hands do feel good…do feel... Slipping back unconscious, my eyes slowly close. I didn't notice the soft green glow under Jenn’s hands.*******************"It does look like he saved them or at least stalled them long enough for us to get there." says the man dressed more like a park ranger than an officer of the law. "I did think he was part of it at first" he continues "but the evidence shows he wasn't there and they were certainly fighting on that back road where we found them""I don't care who he is." says a woman as she enters the room. "He saved and protected my Jenn. I will make sure there's not a mark or a scar on him before he leaves". As she continues the few steps over to the men speaking, even though dressed simply in common clothes, there is no doubt the race of elves is in her heritage. The grace and lines of her form. The elegance and lightness of her step. She glances at her daughter, still watching over the young man in the bed. "Do we know who he is yet?" she asks no one in particular."Not yet dear" a man in a white coat responds. A handsome middle-aged man. Fit, but not that of a fighter or ranger. "I asked Talon to bring another identification stone with him. I was hoping ours was just broke, but it's reading the same.""What do you think is wrong?" Talon asks."I'm thinking we just have to wait until he recovers. I have heard of cases where the stone didn't work. Powerful spells can hide or wipe a person clean. I doubt he's a spy or a criminal. Spells like that are just too high level if, they're used at all. My best guess is, there is just some disconnect with him being unconscious. When he wakes, we can ask him or use the stone again then."I find myself waking up in a hospital bed. The attending Doctor finds it odd that he cannot identify my class. An Officer says I’m a Hero for saving a girl from being kidnapped, but he’s asking too many questions for my liking. I know an accusing tone when I hear it. I don’t remember any of it and I need to find my way home.Author’s notes. Original work. First draft and update of chapters 1-16. Inspired by various fantasy games and books. Written with a focus on character development and interaction. Combat, progression, leveling, classes, but no numbers or stats. I’ll try to keep the language clean, PG-13, no smut. I’m in the US, writing in English. Almost fifty chapters are completed as I pen this introduction. I intend to complete this story or at least bring it to a proper ending. I have a destination in mind. I find as I write, doors and ideas open, while others close and are discarded. The tentative release schedule will be once a week. I'm new to creating. My apologies now while I learn. I have not settled on a book cover or artwork, still looking for something that fits. Registered & Protected #20VjeKDv2U6nynW6

Trial by Conquest: A Battle-Royale, Civilisation Build-Off LitRPG
This is the Trial by Conquest — a battle-royale, civilisation, build-off. Lose and you die. Win and you rule over your new fantasy world as king! Maximus Rum would rather not die. In fact, right now what he’d most rather is find his pants and figure out what the hell is going on. The beach he woke up on is empty and quiet. But he’d better get a move on. The Trial has already begun. Note: I am not intending to write this as a harem story. However, if you believe that a man knowing and having sex with women constitutes a harem, and if that is not your bag, please consider this your warning. Genre: A village-building, dungeoncrawling, LitRPG — taking inspiration from games such as HoMM, Civilization, ANNO, TotalWar, Warcraft, and others. Tone: Mostly 'hell, yeah!' fun with occasional dips into darkness. May contain: Violence, combat, fights, etc. Sexual humour, references, descriptions, and debatably non-explicit acts. Moral ambiguity and occasional sophistication. Nuts.
