See this looks beautiful on you"
Said Arham as he plucked a yellow tulip and placed it on my braid
It was the morning that I woke up and things that happened at the previous day came back to me. I immediately got ready and went to the dining room where the breakfast was served. Interestingly Arham was reading the newspaper and having his breakfast.
"Aren't you the chef? Aren't you supposed to cook the breakfast?"
I couldn't help but ask him.
He laughed. "First of all tell me how are you?" He said gesturing me to sit next to him.
"I am feeling good how" I said referring to my periods.
"Did you sleep well?" He asked smirking. To which I blushed and looked away.
After a while I looked at him and he was still eating his breakfast calmly.
He looked at me and answered my unanswered question "I am supposed to cook only the lunch. Rest different chefs are hired to prepare breakfast and lunch"
"Okay. It's surprising how the Prince allows me and you to eat in this room. I thought it was meant only for him and his guests." I expressed my doubt.
He just smiled and continued reading newspaper. After sometime he got a call to while he just said "yes I am coming" and left the place.
Not before giving me a kiss on my cheek and saying "take care dear. I will be back soon" . I was so shocked that I forgot to ask him where he was going and why.
Anyways I was now confused. Does he like me? If yes then why isn't he confessing? What if he likes me? What if we date? But how? I mean it would be a long distance relationship right? And he seems to be a keeper. So he might also demand marriage if the relationship turns out to be serious. If I say yes to him, I can stay in this palace with him. He can be the Royal Chef and I can help the Royal family in conserving the museum. But then what if they know that I am Zeel and not Aanshi Singh?

Various thought came into my head. But I decided to shake them off. I have to first finish my work. It was my dream to engage into an archeological project which is as grand as this one. I have to complete it. Then I shall deal with this Arham guy. First I need to meet to the Prince. But he seems to be always out of the town.
It was at the noon time when I was busy examining the tulips at the flower garden of the Palace. It was made specially by cultivating all kinds of colourful flowers to create a certain horse like pattern (it represented the emblem of Ashwagadh Kingdom)
I was busy watching the tulips when I felt someone putting the tulip on my braid.
"See this looks beautiful on you"
I turned around to find Arham. He was smiling.
"We need to talk" I demanded.
"About what?" He asked giving me a knowing look.
"About us" I said pointing my index finger at both of us.
"What about is?" He grinned.
"I mean you and me... you know our relationship.... it's just that it's different" I tried to explain him.
"Different as in?" He asked innocently but there was a humour in his eyes.
" As in, as in you know we seem to connect... I mean last night you and me.... were kind of... you know what I am trying to say right?" I tried to speak but it was difficult as he was constantly staring at me. First my eyes and then my lips. Back and forth.
I started feeling that my cheeks were heating. With butterflies in stomach, I felt as if I was blushing. Unintentionally.
He smiled and said "I am sorry I am unable to understand what do you mean"

I felt frustrated. Why doesn't he understand?
"Do you like me?" I asked directly.
"What do YOU think?" He asked looking straight into my eyes.
"I think.... I think ... I think you like me" I finally said what I felt.
"But what's the use... you don't like me" he made a cute face.
"No no I like you"
I finally confessed in frustration. And realised. And then held my breath. Stupid stupid stupid. Now what if he rejects me? I should have shut my mouth.
"You like me?" I finally asked after sometime.
"Do you really wanna know what I feel about you?" He asked with such an intensity that my heart started beating faster.
"I I have to go" I Said suddenly feeling shy and awkward.
He pulled me by my hand and took me into his arms. And the next moment we fell with me falling on the top of him in midst of the flowers.

Viceroy's Pride
This story could be about the Tellask Empire, ruler of a thousand suns and faced with imminent peril at the hands of the Orakh hordes. It could be about Paltai Amberell, the scion of a noble elven House, fallen upon hard times and seeking to find the key that will restore his family's name and save the Empire itself. It could be the story of his voidship, The Viceroy's Pride, powered by magic and crewed by a team of crack marines as they search for adventure and the solution to the Empire's myriad problems. Instead, this is the story of Daniel Thrush, human electrical engineer, befuddled researcher and survivor of the debacle that was first contact with a spacefaring civilization. Due to a combination of luck, magic, hard work, and more luck he is thrust into the center of events as Earth is shoved onto a much larger stage rife with semi-immortal elves and magical kingdoms that predate the Earthly invention of agriculture. Earth is outnumbered, and we have precisely one wizard. Dan. He's not very good at it, but he's going to have to learn in a hurry or watch everything he knows get torn apart by massive spacefaring empires straight from the pages of a fantasy novel. ---------- Some readers have noted that the MC tends to be weak willed and pushed around a bit. A significant portion of the story is his character growth into not being a pushover (i.e. him being passive is in the early chapters on purpose). I'm just including this caveat/warning to make sure that readers aren't surprised/upset and that they stick with it until he learns to stand up for himself. His arc begins to crystallize around chapters 25-27. If that's too long to wait, I get it, I'm just trying to do my due diligence and warn you that the character development is a bit of a slow burn. This is NOT a harem novel. Nothing against them, just not what it is. --------- Updates Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday Feel free to bother me on our discord- Discord!
8 167The Supervillain Tries Playing Games to Relax
After yet another hard day of work, William Ainsworth, a National-Level Villain and the CEO of Hound Corporation is surprised with a birthday gift from his head scientist. The gift turns out to be a VR-headset, and after some convincing, William decides to try it, joining a fantasy-styled VRMMORPG alongside thousands of other players. In this new world where he suddenly isn't feared, he finds unlikely friends and allies, including such characters as Tin, a popular girl hiding her nerdier tendencies, Track, a NEET hidden away for the good of the world, George, a military field doctor trying to learn combat and Chrys, a Superhero in-training trying to learn how to fight. At first, William wouldn't consider these oddballs to be any important to him, but after being stuck with them for long enough, they might just let him melt his icy exterior. ------- -In a world where Superheroes and Villains have existed for only a few meagre generations, this story will focus on how a stoic supervillain comes to befriend people when he hasn't ever been allowed to get close to anyone. Imagine it like a sort of Boku no Hero Academia where the big bad villain is playing the same game as the kids, which happens to be a similar game to Legendary Moonlight Sculptor. The story will take place in both the real world and the game and these plots will interact and intersect. Characters will be fleshed out as the story goes along. Enjoy!

or, Deux Navires Passant dans la Nuit If you wake up in a new world, with only your memories of home to guide you, you have to trust the first people you meet. The first people Leah meets seem to know her - but not her. Leah is thrust into a fighter's role that does not quite suit her, and those who 'rescued' her do their best to help her fit in. They hint at a world that Leah can only vaguely understand without serious research and exploration, but how to do that research, when everyone believes her to be a local of this place, and too many questions might draw unwanted attention? And what about home? The more Leah learns about this world, the less she believes that she woke up on the right side of the bed - or more accurately, on the right side of the conflict. With magic being strictly regulated in her current "home," maybe it's time to uproot and look for a new set of allies... -- Displacement is a queer / lgbt bodyswap isekai: Leah Armande falls out of a Quebecois city into an unfamiliar fantasy world, and Leah Talesh falls out of her adventuring party's homeland and into an unfamiliar industrial world. The story follows both women as they navigate their new surroundings, trying at times to find a way home, at times just to pass for a local, and at times to actually make a life for themselves in their new world. Expect in-depth politics and worldbuilding, sapphic moments, foibles, and far too much time spent either in libraries or convalescing (or sometimes both).
