You placed your phone onto the counter in your bathroom.
Its ambient light fell upon your face as you read that it was 8:47 PM. Your fur was overdue for some care. At least you should have time to be ready.
Well, it seemed that way until there was a thump from the hallway. A thump that happened to be followed by a yelp. And another thump.
...What in the world was that?? Nick??
You grab your phone and shove it back into your pocket while jogging towards your apartment door to find out what had happened.
Quickly swinging out into the hallway, you notice two polar bears holding down a red fox.
A disheveled, surprised, (and handsome) red fox.
Nick leaned back and fidgeted under the oppression of one of the polar bears. His black hoodie flopped around above the dark blue jeans that flowed out from under it.
You turned your attention to whatever Wilde had been looking at. A little rodent sitting on the shoulder of one of the polar bears. The polar bear on the left.
The rodent did not look at Nick.
A small smile formed on Nick's face as he tried to bargain with the bears, "H-hey! Can't we like, talk about this?"
The rodent then glanced towards the red fox and paused.
"You will think twice before crossing me again, Wilde."
Nick's smile disappeared as the bear in front of him pulled something out of his bag. His eyes widened and he began to struggle.
You are frozen as you watch a muzzle slide over his nose and clip along the back of his neck.
His viridescent eyes became headlights coated in fear and distress.
Yours did too.
