《Hero Of Olympus》Athena stikes

It had been around a week since we had started Athena and Annabeth at their own game. As the week passed, Annabeth had turned many campers against me. This was where I was able filter out those who were actually loyal and those who were not.
Jason and Piper had returned from camp Jupiter after building a shrine for Kymopoleia. He was currently building shrines for the gods at camp half-blood. The shrines would be constructed on the fields near climbing wall.
Annabeth had failed miserably at trying to turn Jason against me. I guess Zeus and Poseidon's kids get along better than their parents. She had broken Jason's glasses when the two of us were sparring. It couldn't have been a worse time for her to frame me. Of course, she always got my brother to do the dirty work while she plotted behind the scenes.
Unfortunately, Annabeth had managed to turn the whole of the Athena and Aphrodite cabin against me. The Ares cabin didn't need any extra fuel as we already had our friendly beef.
The Apollo cabin was neutral thanks to Nico, who was now a part of our squad. In all honesty, I hated doing this. It had started to split the camp. Rivalries and fights broke out easily and had to be settled. Meanwhile, monster attacks had increased. Demigods had been forced to return to camp even before the summer started.
Today, I was taking James to our dad's underwater kingdom.
After we took permission from Chiron, James and I took off towards the beach.
"Use the water to propel you forward," I shouted as I submerged.
He nodded and the two of us zoomed through the water.
Soon, we were nearing the gates of our father's kingdom. The gates swung wide as we zoomed past.

We slowed down as we approached the palace. Don't ask me how, but I could smell the cookies our step-mother was baking. I let my nose guide me as I swam through the palace. James marveled the interiors with eyes as wide as cookies. I was getting distracted.
I entered the kitchen and stood behind Triton, who was trying to trying to steal a hot cookie, and cleared my throat. The prince yelped and spun around.
"Hello Perseus," he greeted. His eyes landed on James and his eyes narrowed. "Another one?" He asked in disgust.
The temperature of the water increased drastically and I paled when I saw Amphridite. She pulled out a trident and zoomed out of the kitchen.
"He was born before the big three pact," I explained. "Father put him in a place where time slows down."
Triton nodded and held his hand out for James to shake. "Triton, son of Poseidon," he said.
"James Hunt, demigod son of Poseidon," he said.
Amphridite zoomed back into the kitchen, if you call it that, seeing as it was the size of an entire house
"How many did you boys steal?" She asked sternly when she saw the cookies.
"Two?" Triton asked.
"Two," James and I said.
Amphridite threw her hands up in the air, er, water, in frustration and gestured for us to dig on after grabbing four for herself.
Let's just say Triton and I ate the most.
After we finished stuffing ourself, James and I took a stroll through the underwater gardens.
As we were walking back to the palace, there was a bright flash of light and our dad appeared.
He smiled brightly at us. "Zeus has some work to do so I decided to come and see what Amphridite and Triton are up to."

"Her cookies are amazing," I said.
Our dad immediately zoomed away. I felt kinda sad for him, seeing that the three of us finished all the cookies.
"No, that's all I'm giving you. It's not my fault you were late. Your sons finished it all up. I ate three and kept one for you because I know how much of a child you are," we heard Amphridite yell at our dad.
James and I stifled our laughter as we walked into the kitchen.
"I'm being summoned to Olympus by someone," our father said before dissolving into bubbles.
"I wonder if we could do that," James whispered to me.
"With practice, yes," our step mother admitted. "Go and keep an eye on him. Zeus is the only one who normally summons him and it's always with a clap of thunder."
She then waved her hand, causing all the molecules in our bodies to dissolve and float away.
We reappeared in one of the many gardens in Olympus and guess who we found?
Knowing my luck, you can guess it. Yep, it was Athena.
James and I were trying to get closer, but Athena grabbed our dad's hand and flashed away.
Uh oh.
I had no idea what Athena would do to my dad or what she might say to him. What if she managed to turn him against his own kids?
Not knowing what to do next, we ran. Yes, we ran to Zeus' palace.
Unfortunately, the doors seemed to be locked and there was no one in the gardens.
We didn't know what to do. Hermes was always bussy and nearly impossible to find. Hera was probably with Zeus. Apollo was probably in the sun.
"What do we do?" James asked worried.
"I'm thinking."
Time to come clean. I wasn't thinking. I was panicking. Our only other option would be to do something I was terrified of doing again. Crap.

Esper: Search for Power
Dan Martin has a good life. He's respected at his job, and enjoys his work. He is close to his family, and they love and support him. With engaging hobbies, relative financial security, and freedom to learn and pursue his interests, Dan is happy. So it's not particularly welcome when he's selected by an inscrutable and seemingly omnipotent System as a test subject. The downsides: All of this is insane and by any rational analysis he's gonna die. The upsides: Super powers, a cure for a physical disability that had limited him, and above all, so very much to learn (for as long as he can avoid dying). I am very much a beginner as an author, and any feedback or suggestions on how to improve would be deeply appreciated. Chapter releases should be daily for the first two weeks and sporadic after that as I use up my buffer. Please consider this work as a rough draft subject to revision and/or retcon. It is not only my first attempt at original story telling, but at world building and RPG style system design. The latter has been very difficult, even drawing on the brilliant work of many RPGs and LitRPGs for inspiration. Thank you to any willing to give a new story and a new writer a try!

Release Schedule: (Royal Road) As I can, building back up to 5x/week; (Patreon) Most weekdays Cover Art by: crow-god On Warnings: This is a high-octane, high-adrenaline, high-oxytocin story about mind-boggling adventure, terrifying monsters, a badass protagonist and, at times, the jaw-dropping women who fight alongside him. Is there swearing? Hell yes. Is there violence? Those monsters won't kill themselves! Does he meet (and sleep with) gorgeous fantasy babes? Of course he does! We live in a world of where many authors are afraid to include certain content for fear of scaring off their readers. I won't do that. I trust you. And if you trust me, you'll love my work.
