《Lombardi - Finn Shelby》Grieving

"He's back." Ada told us looking through the window.
"Was he out there all night?" Michael asked.
"Every night since the funeral." Ada replied. "Comes back in the morning to see Charles and feed the horses, when it gets dark, he goes off again." Ada stated.
"He used to sleep out when he was a kid." Polly said holding a newspaper. "Curly would find him in the pasture." She folded the newspaper and put it down whilst grabbing her cup.
"Tommy made a list, he wants to see you and Michael first." Ada told Polly. Tommy soon walked in and left the room again slamming the door.
Polly and Michael left to talk to Tommy whilst I stayed by the fire, it was very warm and I didn't want to move away, this place was cold.
"We've already seen him." Polly told Arthur and everyone looked at Ada.
"He wanted to see people in a particular order." she told us, acting like a secretary.
"I can normally read him, but he's difficult to read, so be careful." she warned the two men as they went to talk to him.
I listened to their conversation as I watched the fire. I missed Grace a lot at the moment, like Tommy. She left too soon.
We were now all crowded in the servants quarter and Ada talked about the only thing she knew. Politics.
"It's nothing to do with politics, Ada it's fucking freezing in the big room." John said and Polly told him off for swearing.
"We're in the servants quarter because it's where the fucking booze is kept." Arthur swore.
"Arthur find better words!" Polly said.
I looked over at Karl who was playing with whatever he could find, before turning when everyone was laughing.

"When she's drunk, my wife can't speak fucking English." John said and everyone laughed except Polly who pointed a knife at him for swearing again.
Michael soon came in and everyone quietened down. Lately Michael has been cocky and I don't like it. Acting like a know it all.
"That's why your Michael is the boss." Arthur said. "Because he's knows better words, right Pol?" Arthur said, being a bit snarky.
"Since When was I your boss, Arthur?" Michael asked shortly after.
"First, the boss meets you. Then the workers." John joined in.
"When did either of you two do a days work?" Finn cheekily asked and I smiled at the response.
"In the old days, Finn." Arthur replied. "Family meetings used to be all of us together." he continued.
Ada told Arthur to shut up but continued by calling him and John 'Bin men'.
"Arthur, Shut up. Finn, go get us cigars." Polly told them taking the bottle away from Arthur. Finn huffed and went to get them.
"We get the guns out John, and we go and shoot some fucking pheasants." Arthur said holding a air gun, making me shake my head at him.
Michael then told Arthur to 'Fuck off' and I shook my head again. Arthur started asking Michael about what he said and John broke them up.
Then I heard a voice behind me "fucking pheasants!" I laughed at Karl's words as Ada went to tell him off. Johns laugh though made the whole situation funnier but it only made Polly more angry.
She then gave a rant and prepared a toast but Finn burst through the door panting.
"Tommy's gone. Swear to God, he's in a wagon with Johnny dogs." Everyone put their drinks down and left the room.

They all went outside and Finn went to chase after them but Arthur stopped him. They all started to walk in and I shook my head watching them.
"Let's drink whiskey, with water." Polly said as she walked back inside.
—
I was in one of the spare rooms as it was now dark and I wanted to sleep. I could hear the lads outside, shooting I think.
I was getting ready to sleep when someone knocked on the door.
"Oh hello Finn, come in." I said letting him in, I then went and laid on my bed. "What do you need Finn?" I asked him smiling.
"Seeing if you needed company." He replied cheekily smiling.
"Come 'ere then." I said gesturing him to come over. I kissed him and he urgently kissed back. I put my hands up to his face and pulled him closer, we had alone time so might as well make the most of it.
We had been in that position for a while and when I heard the door open I quickly pushed him away hurriedly to see Ada at the door laughing.
"Shit Ada, knock next time." I told her breathing from being scared.
"I saw Finn come in so I was making sure you two weren't doing anything but..." I covered my face in embarrassment.
"We won't do anything Ada. We're fine." I told her awkwardly and she nodded teasing us without speaking and closed the door.
I looked at a Finn who was still blushing and I got under the covers.
"Are you staying?" I asked him and he hummed getting under the covers. I snuggled into him and fell asleep.
—
I woke up with Finn snuggled into my body and I looked to see if he was still sleeping. Which he was.
I kissed his cheek and slowly removed his arms from me. When that was successful I sat up. Light poured through the window so I squinted a bit as the curtains barely covered it, it was like a light was shining into my eyes.
Finn moved a little so I froze not wanting him to wake him up.
I slowly and gently got up. I walked to the window and looked outside, it looked pretty. The sun was rising and the clouds were pure white.
Arms wrapped around my waist and lips touched my shoulder, I leaned my head to the side and watched the flock of birds fly from the trees.
The lips trailed up my neck up to my jaw and I turned to Finn and gently kissed him making him more flustered than he already was.
He held the back of my neck and I put my arms around him.
"Good morning." I said parting from him.
"Good morning:" Finn smiled kissing my forehead making me blush.
I slowly unwrapped myself from him.
"I'm glad Ada didn't walk in on us again." Finn jokes making me laugh. There were two knocks on the door shortly after and I looked at finn with amusement.
"Bet that's Ada now." I laughed walking over to the door.
"Hello Ada." I said opening the door.
"Hi Rose, I brought you some clothes, I didn't know if you had any." She said handing me a pile of clothes.
"Thank you Ada." I smiled thankfully as she left.
I turned back into the room and put the clothes on the bed.
"Right then, lets see what fits."I announced clapping my hands.

The Hunt
Cecily's blade swung, hitting its mark as always. The man's arm fell to the cold grass of the prison with a familiar thud. He let out a blood curdling scream. A warning to the rest. Stay away, the Hunter is here. That's the name they'd given her, the Hunter. After she cut off the man who tried to rape hers masculinity, they stayed away. She'd made it clear anyone who tried to touch her would be hunted and slaughtered. Cecily kneeled down, pushing the man's face into the dirt so she could use his back as a seat while she trifled through his belongings. "You're hurting my ears," she told him, no remorse in her voice. "Quiet down before I really do kill you."The man but his lip, well aware that she wasn't lying. Sobs shook him, making for an uncomfortable seat. She, however, didn't particularly feel the beed to kill him. It happened, not often, but it did. "Oh, hush up," she hissed, taking out a bag of rations with her metal hand, "it doesn't hurt that bad."With her good, human hand, she dropped the plastic bag of food into her own bag. She pushed up, off the man back. As she was about to walk away, bag slung over her shoulder, brushing against her autumn colored braid, she turned back to him. "Consider yourself lucky," she said, no hatred in her voice, there never was. "Consider yourself lucky that you didn't do anything stupid. And even luckier if one of the scum bagged criminals in here feel a little light in their hearts and help you. Consider yourself luckier if you die there."With that, her old black and white Nike sneakers carried her off into the brush of the huge prison.
