《Lombardi - Finn Shelby》The Kidnapping

Roses P.O.V
"Mum, why are we moving? I thought we were fine here?" I, Roseline Lombardi, asked my mother who was frantically running around putting my clothes in a trunk.
She never told me why, she had recently got off the phone with someone before hanging up and dragging me to my room.
"Well my sweet Rose, many people don't like us here, so we decided we should leave." My mum, Helen Lombardi, said to my face. She had a thick Irish accent so some of what she said I couldn't understand as I was so used to english accents, she looked into my bizarre eyes and smiled reassuringly.
There was a couple bangs from the door downstairs and my mum looked around the room terrified and frozen. I could hear a bunch of commotion from downstairs, there was men yelling my father's name as well, my mum went to close the door but it was slammed open by a man.
The man was tall and slender and held metal gun in his right hand giving my mother a death glare. He pulled the trigger shooting my mother in her shoulder.
I didn't know what to do as I've never been in this type of situation before and I watched my mother's body fall to the ground. I was then completely frozen in shock.
The thing had shot my mother killing her instantly.
The thing then proceeded to grab my arm and drag me away from my mother's dead body,I couldn't speak, it was as if I had no voice at all. I had no clue where my father was, I hope he isn't dead as well, otherwise I would be named an orphan.
I was brought downstairs where there was more gangsters going through my parents stuff, chucking things around looking for something that has value.
"What are we doing with the kid?" The thing said towards the other gangsters getting their attention, making one of them to stop.
"Just put her in the car, we'll take her." One of them said. I tried to rip my arm away from him but the gangster had a tight grip.
He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder and took me to a black polished car. He threw me uncomfortably in and shut the door. I just sat there, I didn't want to do anything that would make him mad.

Soon after the rest of the gangsters had come running out, some came into this car, that I was sitting in, and the rest were in another.
"So what are we doing with the kid?"
"We will give her to Easton, I'm sure he will enjoy the company." one of them said creepily. I now fear for whoever this 'Easton' guy is and what he has in store.
The drive carried on for ages and I fell asleep against the window, I was woken up by one of the guys roughly shaking me like crazy. I looked out the window and saw a plain grey house, that had large windows painted black. It seemed squashed together by the house next to it, different from the ones in London.
The gangster stepped out of the car and one held his hand out for me.
"Come on Sunshine." He cheerfully said, I looked at his hand my eyes still wide from being traumatised by the events that happened hours ago.
I ignored his hand and got out myself, the man put his hand on my shoulder and lead me into the dull house.
"Oi, Easton get your arse down 'ere, I have a present!" The guy shouted into the house.
"I'm coming calm down." A lanky man said walking down the hallway. "Who is this?" He asked putting a cigarette in his mouth and lit it.
"Your new daughter, don't know her name." I looked at them both my eyes squinting from the distant sun.
"She is a bit of a freak aint she?" The lanky man said looking into my eyes. I would have spoken back but I couldn't, it felt like my mouth was zipped and locked up.
"Fine I'll take her, but do this again and I'll kill ya." The man said, pointing to the man who had his hand on my shoulder as a warning.
"Great, I'll go then." The man said happily, leaving making me sigh of relief.
"Okay, so my name is Easton Carter, you can call me East if you want to," Easton said looking at me, leading me into his house. "I'll show you to your room." Easton said taking my small hand taking me to a small room that was up the steep wooden stairs.

There wasn't much decoration in the room, just a bed, wardrobe, table and pictures scattered around just to make it look decent.
There was a knock downstairs and I snapped my head to the door, it was a very loud knock which had to have been done by a man.
"Can you get that? I'll go and get you some blankets for your bed." Easton said walking out, completely trusting me to get it and not really giving me a choice. I walked cautiously down the stairs, being very careful not to fall, and there were a few more thumps on the door. I then slowly opened the door.
"Who are you?" The man asked, I looked into his stunning blue eyes and gulped. I looked at him not wanting to answer his question and he threw is cigarette to the ground. He raised his eyebrow and I looked at his cap noticing the blade inside it, not really answering his question.
"Oh Thomas Shelby, come in, don't mind her." Easton said letting Thomas in. "Why don't you go to your room?" He asked me saving me from the awkward stares of the Shelby man. I nodded and left to my room.

Thomas walked into Easton's living room, looking at the bland fireplace, and turned to him. "Who was that?" Thomas asked suspicious of the little girl.
"That's my daughter Mr Shelby, I took her in." Easton answered, not wanting to get into any trouble.
"Who were the men dropping her off?" Thomas asked blankly staring at Easton.
"My cousin and his family, they took her away for a while whilst I got back on my feet" Easton answered being confident.
"Okay." Thomas replied before storming out of Eastons house, not really believing him.
Easton sighed and looked around his living room, bad choice to lie to Thomas Shelby.

I had been in my room for about 10 minutes now and I could Easton's footsteps echoing up the stairs. He knocked on the door and popped his head through.
"Are you okay, do you want something to eat, drink?" He asked me awkwardly, obviously he has never been a father, he seemed too young as well to be one. I shook my head though, I had just witnessed my mother die why would I be hungry?
"What is your name?" Easton asked coming into the room and lowered himself onto the dusty carpet that used to be a red looking colour.
"Rose." I answered quietly, I am a shy person, at times.
"Well Rose from now on your last name is Carter and if anyone asks don't tell them your real surname, okay?" I nodded my head and looked around the room again avoiding his eye contact.
"How old are you Rose?" Easton asked and I glanced at him.
"Eleven." Easton nodded slightly. I looked at the clock that was on my desk it read 5:27.
"Do you want to go out and get some new clothes?" Easton asked cutting the silence. I nodded and stood up, I knew I didn't have any clothes here and it would get me out of here.
Easton slowly rose off the ground and walked to the door. He walked downstairs and walked out of the house and I followed. He locked the door and looked at me.
"Let's go." Easton said taking a hold of my hand.
--
I felt a little more comfortable around Easton now, he was rather funny when he was being awkward. I was at his house now and I was putting my new clothes into the wooden wardrobe. Easton walked into the room with a plate of sandwiches.
"I brought up some food, I just thought you would be hungry." I looked at him and nodded and he put the plate on the desk.
"Thank you." I told him speaking up.
"No problem" Easton then left me to it.
I placed my clothes in the wardrobe and got into bed after eating my sandwiches. I closed my eyes, listening to the ticks of the clock, I slowly drifted off into a peaceful sleep. I hope tomorrow is better.
