Rosalina: It's time. Do you want to go back to your home and stop those two?

Those are Rosalina's exact words as Mario and Meggy went back to the Observatory to finish their space journey.

Mario: Of course we will.

Meggy: Let's do this, Mario.

Rosalina: All right, then. Off we go!

Rosalina, with her magical wand, turned the observatory into a spaceship and blasted back off to Earth.

Mario and Meggy held on tight as they landed back onto Earth and the now taken over Mushroom Kingdom.

Rosalina: Go! Everyone is in danger! Hurry!

Luigi: I'm coming with you.

Mario: We might need a little help on this journey, so why not? You're in.

Mario, Meggy, and Luigi went off the observatory and onto the ground, as Mario was so happy he's on Earth again.

Mario: Oh, Earth ground. I missed you!

Meggy: Well, don't celebrate for too long. Look at our home.

Mario: Mama mia!

Luigi: Oh no.

They were devastated when they saw the Mushroom Kingdom was taken over. The entire kingdom was empty and it was all dark. Many things were destroyed, including people's homes and many other buildings.

Mario: I can't believe they did all of that. Even Waluigi didn't do that much damage.

Meggy: We can't let them do this to our home. We gotta stop them.

Mario: I've waited a few days of collecting star after star for this. It's about time we'd finally do this.

They arrived at the center of all the chaos and destruction, Peach's Castle. The flag on the top was replaced with a flag with the words "SMG4 Sucks" written on it.

SMG3 was inside the castle, watching through a window, as he was hugely shocked.

SMG3: What the hell! How did you get back from space?!

Mario: Let's just say we got help from some amazing space travellers.

He ordered Bowser's troops to defeat the 3 heroes.

He sent out many of Bowser's troops (because he stole them and got them under his control), as Mario, Meggy, and Luigi started to attack.

Meggy: We're here to save the entire kingdom!

Desti opened the window and yelled out at Meggy.

Desti: Well, too bad! Attack!

Using many of their skills and attacks, they managed to defeat all of the villains' minions in 15 minutes.

Bowser: Oh, come on! Why did you have to kill my minions?

Mario: Sorry, Bowser!

They heard Bowser yelling from inside the castle and immediately went inside. Nothing was on the main floor, but as they went upstairs, they saw everyone, especially their friends, in cages.

Fishy Boopkins: Mario! Meggy! Luigi! You came back!

Everyone was cheering and wanting to be freed.

Tari: I knew you would come back to save us all!

SMG4: Just defeat them, please.

SMG4 was hung up on the wall.

Luigi: What happened to you?

SMG4: I was tortured by those two for days now. I want this nightmare to end!

Meggy: Don't worry, everyone. We will defeat SMG3 and Desti and save the Mushroom Kingdom.

Mario: We promise you all!

Mario, Meggy, and Luigi went up the stairs and arrived at the main lair for the villains.

SMG3: Oh crap! They're here!

Desti: So you managed to return from space, huh?

SMG3: I thought you couldn't breathe in space!

Meggy: Looks like you miscalculated there.

???: You idiots! I thought you would have those two freezing in space.

Desti: I'm sorry, master. How about we defeat them right here?

Luigi: Master?

SMG3: Oh, I almost forgot. Meet our master; the one who caused this entire ordeal to happen in the first place.

The master went out of the shadows to reveal himself, as he is revealed to be someone no one would expect.

Bob: GrEeTiNgS, aSsHoLeS.

Mario, Meggy, and Luigi: Bob?!

Bob: ThAt'S rIgHt, BiTcHeS. yOu HaVe NeGlEcTeD mE fOr FaR tOo LoNg, So I hAd To TaKe My ReVeNgE iN tHe WoRsT wAy PoSsIbLe, BuT i HaD tO aCqUiRe SoMe HeLp FiRsT. iT wAs ThEn I cAmE aCrOsS sMg3 aNd DeStI rIgHt HeRe.

Desti: We needed revenge on all of you as well, so we agreed to Bob's plan.

SMG3: And because of that, the entire Mushroom Kingdom has been taken over by the three of us.

Bob: AnD iT lOoKs LiKe It'S gAmE oVeR fOr ThE tHrEe Of YoU.

Mario: Oh no you don't, you son of a bitch.

Mario, Meggy, and Luigi stared at Bob, SMG3, and Desti for a while until Bob started the fight.

Bob: LeT's Do ThIs, BoIs.

It was a 3-on-3 battle between the heroes and the villains. Mario, Luigi, and SMG3 used their strength, Meggy and Desti used their guns, and Bob was the strongest of them all. He kept punching and kicking the heroes, and they were all stunned by this.

Meggy: Bob. How did you...

Bob: LoOkS lIkE aLl ThAt TrAiNiNg In SmAsH rEaLlY pAiD oFf. YoU tHrEe ArE sO dEaD.

They continued fighting, but they couldn't land a single hit on Bob at all. He was just too powerful. Even the Luma, who was still with them, couldn't do anything.

Bob: It'S nO uSe At ThIs PoInT. tImE tO sAy GoOdByE tO yOuR hOmE, aNd SoOn, YoUr LiVeS.

Luigi: He's just too strong.

Meggy: What are we going to do now?

Mario: You got-a Mario thinking now.

Just then, Mario got an idea.

Mario: Meggy. I got a crazy idea. It may be a stretch, but we're gonna try anyways.

Meggy: What exactly do you have in mind?

Mario went closer to Meggy's ear, and whispered something she thought she would never hear again.

Mario (whispers): Paint.

Meggy started to shake while trying not to stop what gonna happen.

Meggy (thoughts): Mustn't resist urge. Must do this for... the fate... of the kingdom. Gotta... go... CRAZY!

Meggy then started to shoot everywhere and throw Ink Bombs all over the place. Bob, SMG3, and Desti couldn't believe what was going on, as they didn't realize they were getting hit by Meggy's berserk attacks.

Bob: No. I cAn'T bE dEfEaTeD.

Luigi: Sorry, but you just did.

Mario: Goodbye, you shits.

Meggy landed the last hit on the three villains, as they got launched out of the castle, making a huge hole in the wall. She couldn't stop after that, so Mario had to calm her down.

Mario: The villains are out of our sight. It's time to stop shooting and throwing. We won.

Meggy calmed herself down by breathing, and she then hugged Mario.

Meggy: We did it, Mario. We actually did it.

Mario: That's-a so nice!

Just as the villains got out of the castle, the sky started to get brighter and everyone got out of their cages, with SMG4 out of his shackles.

As Mario, Meggy, and Luigi went down the stairs, everyone saw them, ran up to them, and started to cheer for them.

Fishy Boopkins: We're saved!

Tari: You three did it! Congratulations!

SMG4: Wow. You managed to live in space, and all that training from up there managed to finally pay off. You saved us all, and we thank you.

As everyone was celebrating, an unexpected guest arrived calling for Mario and Meggy. It was Rosalina.

Rosalina: You did it. You have succeeded in your goal. Oh, and Luma?

The Luma went out of Mario's body and to Rosalina.

Rosalina: I guess it's time for this little guy to go back home, and so will I.

Meggy: So you're gonna find more Power Stars?

Rosalina: No matter how many obstacles will be in our path, we'll collect more stars. Oh, and I left a little something back at your home. I hope you'll like it. So, I bid you farewell after the few days of you collecting stars for my observatory, and I thank you both. May the stars shine down on you...

Rosalina teleported away to the Comet Observatory, as it took flight again and went back into space.

SMG4: Uh, who was that?

Mario: Oh, just a fellow space traveler we met on our journey.

Meggy: I don't want to explain the whole story right now. I'm getting very tired.

Mario: Me too. Even heroes need their sleep.

Luigi: Especially heroes who went to space and collected countless stars for a few days, including me.

SMG4: Well, from all of us who got kidnapped, thank you for saving us all.

As everyone was cheering for Mario and Meggy again, they walked home and saw a huge box inside an empty room in their house.

Mario opened it and out came a Launch Star. A picture was with it, as he picked it up and saw words written on the back.

There are still Power Stars left in the known universe. Over 50 of them are left. So if you want to come back to the Conet Observatory to collect more stars, use this Launch Star and it'll launch you to the observatory.

The picture was of Mario and Meggy flying together in space.

Mario: I'm definitely framing this.

Meggy: Not only does Rosalina keep our memories alive, but she wants us to continue them as well. What an amazing woman.

Mario: Well, our adventure in space is now another finished chapter in our friendship and our relationship as well, and that is an example of a story that will never end.

Meggy: I love you.

Mario and Meggy kissed each other, both feeling very happy for what they've done, as they won't stop remembering their adventure in space for the rest of their lives.
