LAURA

"Hi darling, how are you?" Laura's mother envelopes her into a hug. Laura cries into her shoulder. "It's going to be alright honey, it really is, i promise."

Nothing her mother says makes a difference. Laura misses Michael with all her heart. She cries herself to sleep every night. She misses him.

It's been two months since Michael and her separated. And it feels like the longest two months of Laura's life.

"Look," her mother tells her, as she hugs her father. "We're having your favourite food for dinner tonight, okay? You'll be fine."

Laura only nods because she doesn't quite know what to say. She goes up to her room and retires to bed to cry some more. Michael was actually the only boy she had ever loved. And she thought that he felt mutually. Now she isn't too sure.

Michael has tried to get in touch with her, but she has turned him down every time, ashamed of herself, reliving their two a.m. breakup in his apartment.

That evening, Laura showers and changes into a comfortable dress and heads down for dinner when her mother calls her.

Waiting at the dinner table is none other than Michael.
