A date. What the hell was I thinking? Not only is Tweek another guy - which still felt incredibly odd to me, by the way - but where was I supposed to take him? We had decided to "hang out" Friday night since I didn't work and he could convince his dad to give him the day off. Even so, Friday was a day that just felt so far away.. I could totally think of something in four days, right? Yeah... I decided not to stress out about it for the time being and just try to act normal..

It was difficult. I was happy, and when lunch rolled around and the next day and I got to see my best friend again I was overjoyed. Jesus freaking Christ, Craig, what has gotten into you?

"Gah! Craig!" came the familiar voice of Tweek running up from behind me. I stopped and turned around to wait fro him. "H-hey!"

"Hey," I responded, nodding my head slightly in greeting.

Together, we walked to the cafeteria in silence. It wasn't an awkward sort of silence. It was actually kind of nice. We didn't have to say anything, so long as we were next to each other.

"Yo," muttered Clyde as we approached the table.

"Wh-where's Token?" questioned Tweek. I looked around to see if I could spot the guy but found nothing of any use.

"I don't know," the brunette sighed. "With his girlfriend, maybe."

"Huh?" Tweek asked, looking confused as ever. Clyde bit into his food, looking pretty pissed with everything.

I decided to take it upon myself to explain just what had happened, "The girl he was with at the dance. Apparently, they're together now."

"Ohh. . ." responded Tweek, giving Clyde a sympathetic look. "What - ngh - what's wrong?"

Clyde shook his head and huffed once he swallowed down his food, "When I was dating Bebe I still made time for my friends!" He exclaimed.

This time, I gave my full attention to Clyde. "Ack! W-when did you t-two break up?!" I was with Tweek on this one. Bebe and Clyde breaking it off was complete news to me. They'd been dating for so long that I never even pictured them apart.

Rather than explain anything to us, he slammed his head on the table, then lifted himself from the cold surface with watery eyes. "That really hurt," he stated, rubbing his forehead. He got up, grabbed his tray, and pouted, "I'm gonna go get some real food," and then he left.

Tweek and I exchanged nervous looks. "Ngh . . . Y-you think he'll be o-okay?"

I glanced towards the door of the cafeteria, hesitating only slightly before responding. "He'll be fine."

The rest of that week had passed by uneventfully. Aside from Clyde and his everyday complaints about Token. Speaking of Token, I only saw him during classes the entire time. Was he really spending all that time with his girlfriend? Who even was this chick? Sure, I've seen her before due to the dance but I didn't even know her name.

Whatever, that wasn't my problem. Especially not at that moment. After all, there bigger more important things on my mind. Like where the hell was I supposed to take Tweekers tonight? And even more importantly, what was I supposed to wear? Did two guys even dress up for each other on dates? Idiot, of course they did!

I sat on my bed, staring at my closed closet door. What would I wear on a date with a girl? Normally I'd dress casual, maybe not even think about what I was wearing. Just grab something and go.

This was Tweek. This wasn't some girl I barely knew and didn't care about. It's Tweek, he knows what I look like both at my best and worst. No matter what I decided to wear, he wouldn't be surprised. So why am I feeling so nervous?

"craig," said Ruby, casually walking into my room like she owned the place. "Take me to Karen's."

I stared at her, "Weren't you two in a fight?"

"That's why I'm going over to her place!" Ruby rolled her eyes.

"To apologize?" I questioned.

"To egg her house," Ruby corrected.

"I don't have time for this, Ruby," I sighed, getting up to finally search through my closet. I only had thirty more minutes to pick up Tweek. Then it hit me. . . I never asked Mom if I could take the car..

"What are you even doing?" asked Ruby, crossing her arms.

I shook my head and threw the clothes I didn't want every which way. What was I supposed to wear?!

"Craig!" Ruby complained.

I flipped her off, then sighed and turned to her. "If you can convince Mom to let me keep the car for the night, fine."

Ruby smiled, looking satisfied. She turned around and rushed out of my room. I could hear her call out for our mother, but wasn't at all concerned with what they had to say. All of my clothes seemed so boring all of a sudden.

Was Tweek having the same struggle I was?

"Craig, hurry up! Mom said you could!" Ruby said as she jogged toward my room. She was bouncing on her feet with a backpack slung over her shoulders. I sighed and glanced toward the clock. I had a bit more time, so I continued searching through my clothes. "Hurry," she repeated, flipping me off. I gave her my middle finger right back, then grabbed a black pair of jeans and a white shirt.

"Get out of my room," I told her, "I'll be out in a minute." She sighed but did as she was told, shutting the door behind her. I changed into the outfit I wore, then grabbed one of the many jackets that I had discarded earlier. It was leather, with a midnight blue colored hood. I slipped that on and zipped it up halfway, making sure my beanie was securely placed unto my head before leaving the room. Then I stopped and sighed, walking back in. I forgot to put on shoes. I just put on a pair of black snow boots with blue laces and left, not caring much about what I looked like anymore. It was too much work, anyway.

"Finally," muttered Ruby. She was waiting for me by the front door.

I grabbed my keys and wallet, then stopped and stared at her for a moment. "Ruby, give me your backpack."

"What?! Why?" she asked defensively. I raised my eyebrows and she reluctantly handed me the back. I unzipped it and took out a carton of eggs, then looked back up at her. She crossed her arms and pursed her lips, "I told you I was gonna do it.."

"How long have you two been fighting?" I asked, walking toward the kitchen to put the eggs back into the fridge.

"I don't know, forever?" Ruby rolled her eyes and followed slowly behind me.

I put the carton into the refrigerator, then shut it and turned to her, "Is she even expecting you?"

Ruby looked away, "Obviously not. Craig, I was gonna egg her house."

"Call her," I said, stuffing my hands into the pockets of my jacket.

"What? No way!" Ruby shook her head and dropped her arms to the side, clenching her fists.

I walked passed her toward the door, "Then come on. I'm abandoning you at the McCormick's."

Ruby sighed, "Give me a minute!"

I leaned against the wall next to the front door and watched as she went to the house phone and dialed a number. Then I looked at the time and frowned. Great, I was going to be late for my first official date with Tweek.

Not that it mattered...

I took out my phone and stared at the screen for a moment. He hadn't texted me to confirm that we were still going out. Did that mean something? No, no. I'm just being paranoid.

To: Tweekers

From: Me

Message: I might be late. Ruby.

It wasn't long before I received a response from him. Ruby was still on the phone, but I wasn't really listening in on her conversation with that girl. It didn't matter to me.

To: Me

From: Tweekers

Message: That's fine.. Is it too much if I ask where we're going? I don't know how I should dress... Is that embarrassing?

Goddammit. I still hadn't figured out where to take him. I searched through all the possible spots we could go to.. There was the movies, a restaurant, some café, grab ice cream, go bowling.. Everything seemed so bland.

To: Tweekers

From: Me

Message: Just be you.

Ruby set the phone down and sighed a bit, flipped the phone off. "Am I still taking you to Karen's?" I asked. She nodded and walked passed me to the car. I sighed and followed her out, unlocking the vehicle so that she could climb into the passengers' seat.

The drive to McCormick's was longer than I remembered it being. I found myself continually looking at time, then felt stupid for being so weird about this whole thing. What's the big deal? I'm late for a date that won't even evolve into anything. It's not as if I liked Tweek in that way, right?

"Craig!" Ruby screamed, bringing me back to reality. I slammed on the breaks just before hitting the stopped car in front of us. "What the hell?!" she stared at me like I was crazy. Maybe I was.

"Shit," I muttered, rubbing at my eyes. "Sorry."

Ruby squinted her eyes at me, "Don't kill us." I gave her a sideways glance. The light turned green and I focused all of my energy onto driving, though I still have no clue what had come over me. Why was I being so careless?

I parked the car in front of the McCormick's house and looked over at Ruby. She opened the door and hopped out of the car, but I stopped her before she shut the door. "Don't do anything stupid," I told her, flicking her off.

"Don't kill yourself," Ruby grumled, returning my gesture. She slammed the door and walked over to the house. I waited until she was invited in before driving off towards Tweek's.

This was it. The night I took Tweek out on a date. I still couldn't get over that word. Date. Was that really what this was? Several turns later, I was outside of his house. It was the same place he'd lived in since we were younger, and it held so many memories. I parked the car and took the keys out of the engine, staring at the house for a good minute before deciding I should stop being such a pussy.

I don't know why, but I checked to make sure my hair looked fine in the rearview mirror before getting out and walking to the door. Should I have gotten him flowers or something? Tweek doesn't care about flowers.. Some coffee? Chocolate? Anything?

I shook my head and knocked on the Tweak's front door. It was about time to finally get this over with. I took a deep breath and waited for what seemed like forever. Then, I knocked again. Tweek's mom finally answered the door.

"Oh! Craig, what are you doing here?" asked his mom.

Well, this was more than a little awkward.. "I'm here for Tweek."

She looked baffled for a split second before grinning like a madwoman, "I knew he said something about a date! Yes, yes, he's in his room. Go on over there," she stepped aside and I walked passed her. I made a beeline for his bedroom. The door was shut and I could hear shuffling on the other end. I calmed my wild nerves, then knocked on the door.

"M-mom! I don't- ERK - ha-have time!" Tweek exclaimed, sounding frantic on the other side.

"It's Craig," I informed. There was a loud 'THUD' and some more shuffling.

"CRAIG?! GAH! I'll b-be out soon!" he shouted. When he said soon, I didn't think he meant a second after saying it.

The door swung open and his figure tumbled out, nearly running right into me. His eyes widened and he quickly shut the door behind him. Pink dusted across his pale cheeks and he moved his gaze to the floor, "S-sorry I took so long!"

I shook my head, "Don't worry about it. I was the one who was late," I told him with a shrug. He nodded and we stood there, somewhat awkwardly for a moment before he looked toward me again and smiled.

"Y-you look great!" He told me. Then his expression turned panicky and he shook his head, "Oh God, I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable or anything!"

"Dude, Tweek, calm down," I told him. Since he complimented the way I looked, I decided to really take in what he was wearing. It was simple, casual. A black shirt and forest-green jacket with black cuffs. He wore a scarf matching his dark gray jeans, which clung to his figure perfectly. Oh my god, what am I thinking? I shook my head and nodded to the front of the house, "Let's get going."

"Wh-where are we going?" Tweek asked, walking beside me as we made our way through the house.

"It's a surprise," I told him. To the both of us, I continued in my head.

We were just about to leave the house when his mom came up to us, "Leaving so soon? I didn't even get a picture!"

"M-MOM!" Tweek exclaimed, clearly embarrassed.

"What?" she asked, looking genuinely confused.

Tweek shook his head, "Th-that's way too much pressure! Please don't!" He then took my hand and rushed out the door. His mom said something to us as we left, but I wasn't really focused on that. I was staring at his hand clutching onto my own. Was the snow always this warm?

I suddenly felt conscious about everything. Did I really look okay or was he just lying to spare my feelings?

"Sorry a-about her," Tweek said once we got to the car. He let go of my hand, and I felt empty.

Saying nothing about the embarrassing subject at hand, I just nodded, "It's fine. Let's go," I said, walking over to the drivers side and getting in. He sat next to me and then we took off.

For a while, I was just driving. Tweek turned up the music and started singing along. He was a god-awful singer, but that was okay. I wondered just how many songs he knew that were on the radio, since it seemed like he was singing along to every one that turned on. Eventually, it got to a song that I knew and I glanced in his direction before looking back in front of me to the road. When it got to the chorus, I started singing along as well.

This seemed to made Tweek happy, as he sang louder and then laughed a little when both of us got way out of tune at the same time. I smiled a bit at this, then decided on what we could do. But it required something we didn't have, so I had to make a quick stop.

"A-a sports store?" asked Tweek, looking up at the building that I parked in front of.

"What's your shoes size?" I asked, completely ignoring his question.

"Uh.. Ten," he said. "Why?"

"I'll be right back," I told him, leaving the keys in the car with Tweek. I made sure I had my wallet in my pocket before entering the store.

Inside smelled weird. Like new rubber and really expensive cologne. Everyone in there, as far as I could see, was dressed in sporty outfits. I guess that shouldn't have come as very much a surprise since it was a sports store. I circled the building, trying to find what I was looking for. Because I was in such a hurry, I completely passed it three times. When I finally got my brain back and saw the ice skates sitting on the shelf, I felt really stupid.

Sadly, I had to actually buy them rather than rent but I found myself not really caring anyway. Tweek and I could probably do it again, if things went well.

After waiting in line and finally being able to purchase these stupid shoes, I walked out of the store and toward my car. The skates were in a bag, so Tweek wouldn't be able to see what I had gotten. Which was good.

"What - ngh - what's that?" Tweek asked as I got into the car and set the bag in the back seat.

I shrugged and started the car, "Nothing."

Tweek twitched, "L-liar!" I smiled faintly at him, which seemed to shut him up, and I drove out of the parking lot and into the streets of South Park.

It didn't take long before I ended up stopping the car again, next to the sidewalk near Stark's Pond. I grabbed the bag and got out of the car, shutting my door. Once Tweek was out as well, I locked it up and slid the keys into my pocket while going toward our bench. Tweek followed behind me. Once there, I set the bag down and took out a pair of ice skates.

"GAH! W-we're going ice skating?!" asked Tweek.

I stared at him and flipped him the bird, "No. Don't ask stupid things, Tweek."

He frowned and scratched the side of his head, "Ngh, s-sorry." He accepted the shoes I had offered him and sat down, taking off the ones he was wearing and replacing them with the skates. I did the same, then put them into the bag along with Tweek's.

We stumbled to the frozen pond together, both not used to ice skating. I wasn't sure about Tweek, but I knew I hadn't been on the ice in a long time. When we finally got to it, I was the one who almost fell.

Tweek chuckled, "Careful, man!"

"I bet I could beat you around the entire pond," I told him. Before he got the chance to say anything, I was off. Though the first time I tried to push myself forward, I almost face-planted into the ice. It didn't take too long to get the hang of it, but I wasn't fast enough before just as I managed to understand how balance worked Tweek buzzed passed me.

He even turned around and skated backwards just to stick his tongue out at me.

A new sense of motivation crawled over me and I sped up, determined to beat this kid. Who did he think he was, sticking his tongue out at me like that?

I caught up to him. He shoved me a little, so I shoved my middle finger in his face. He must not have expected it, because he fell back and reached out to grasp something that would keep him from hitting the hard ice. What he ended up getting a hold of was my sleeve, and together we crashed down onto the freezing cold surface below. People struggled to get passed us without tripping or slicing off our fingers with their skates.

Tweek must have noticed this, because he sat up and looked around, "T-too much pressure! Oh god!" He crawled over to the snow, away from the slipper ice, and I followed him. When we were on safe grounds, he started chuckling and I found myself snickering along. Then we both broke out into laughter at how childish and stupid we were being.

I wrapped my arm around him and pulled him close, still chuckling. It seemed like the natural thing to do, to keep such an amazing person close to you. He simply leaned into me, his own laughter starting to die down as well.

Once we were both done with the idiotic display of happiness, Tweek spoke up. "You aren't j-just doing this t-to keep me as a friend, right?" I stared at him, narrowing my eyes slightly. What was he talking about? "B-because even if you didn't like me in that way, I'd-I'd still be friends with you! Oh god.."

"Don't ask stupid questions, Tweek," I explained to him yet again. "Come on, I'm getting kind of hungry," I said, standing up. I held out my hand for him and he pulled himself to his feet with my help. The two of us carefully made our way to the bag, put on our shoes, and walked to the car.

I drove us to some stupid restaurant, but didn't get out of the car. I just sort of stared up at the building, not completely sure if I really wanted to do this.

"I-is something wrong?" asked Tweek, looking nervous. I drove us out of the parking lot and down the street. "Gah! Where are we going?!"

"My place," I told him.

He started tugging at his hair, "Oh my god."

I ignored him and stopped at the all too familiar house that never really even seemed like a home. I parked in the driveway and got out, locking the car once Tweek was standing on the pavement with me. I looked at him and he was still tugging at his hair, muttering about how this was way too much pressure. Or something. I wasn't really listening to him. I just walked into my house.

"Craig? That you?" asked my mom from the other room.
