"I need to speak to you about something.
Meet me in class 2-1 after school"
I step into the room. It's pitch black apart from a candle on the teacher's desk.
"Hello?"
I sit down at one of the desks.
And the candle goes out.
"So..."
My body freezes.
"You actually came..."
"I did. I knew it was your handwriting on the note."
"The writing was in red, wasn't it?"
I nod even though I don't think the person can see me.
"Didn't you wonder what it was written in?"
"Red pen?" I question.
There's a moment of silence.
"Blood."
I shiver.
"Why are you like this?"
The candle flickers back to life and I spot a figure sitting on top of the desk in front of mine.
"Because of you."
They hop off of the desk and turn to face me.
Head to toe.
They're covered in blood.
I step back in shock.
"Are you okay?! Where's all that blood coming from?!"
He smirks, running his hand along his mouth.
But it's not just his hand.
A glint of metal sparkles, clenched in his fist.
A knife.
"I never said it was my blood, did I."
I gulp as he stands extremely close, our noses almost touching.
"Why?" I ask quietly.
"You."
"How? How is it me that's made you this way?"
"You make me jealous. And then there's no other place for those people you flirt with."
"Other place? Where do they go?"
He rolls his eyes.
"Kai... Tell me where they go."
"You really are stupid, aren't you!"
His hand moves quickly and the knife runs along my thumb.
"Where do you think they go?"
Without a warning, the knife slices through my thumb. I hear it fall to the floor and the steady drip of blood follows.

"SHIT!" I yell, moving to grab onto my wound to try and soothe the pain.
"Don't move." He says sternly. "Or it'll happen again."
I take deep breaths, stuck in my position.
"They don't go anywhere. They die."
I take an even deeper breath.
"Kai..."
The blood dripping from my thumb creates a steady pulse for me to concentrate on.
"Yes?"
I feel the knife rest against my forefinger.
"Why..." I whisper for the third time.
"You, my baby girl."
His free hand moves to my chin and forces my head up. Staring into my eyes, he smirks.
"You should be asking yourself that question, you know."
My forefinger falls to the floor. I shut my eyes tight and cry out in pain.
"You're a monster!" I yell, tears falling from my eyes.
"Your middle finger looks nice..."
slice
"FUCK!"
"You shouldn't swear, my princess."
I hate the nicknames
I hate them
I hate what he's become
"You weren't always like this. You used to be so sweet and loving. Now you're just-"
slice
"Oh, princess. I'm still loving, just more than you can understand. And I was never sweet, you created that image of me in your head. And be careful, you'll lose your whole hand in a minute."
I bite his hand that's under my chin and try to run away but he catches me.
"Naughty!" He exclaims, chopping off the rest of the fingers on my right hand. "That was bad..."
I fall to the floor and cry out again.
"Whoops, I said don't move. That's your hand then."
chop
"KAI, JUST STOP!"
"Oh, my baby girl." He hisses. "It's too late now to stop."
He kneels down next to me and stares into my eyes again.

"If I kill you, you'll be mine..."
I gulp.
"Right? And no one can take you then."
"I'm yours anyway!" I yell, tears falling heavily now.
"That's what you think. But there's so many other guys after you... I just can't have that."
He reaches into his pocket.
"Open your mouth, princess."
I do as I'm told, scared for the rest of my body parts. He puts something into my mouth.
"A gun..." I mumble against it. He chuckles, putting his finger on the trigger.
"You'll be mine, won't you?"
I cry even more, eyes shut again.
"Good girl."
He shuffles forward and plants a kiss on my forehead.
"I love you, my princess."
"There is still no sign of the missing girl, after these five years. But we will continue searching-"
I switch off the TV and sigh.
"You won't find her." I say, getting out my gun and shooting the TV screen right in the centre. I look at the gun for a while, scanning it.
"She's been gone for too long."
I swing the gun in one hand.
"Shot her. With this gun!"
I shoot the wall three times, causing rubble to fall onto the floor.
"She's all mine though, that's what matters."
"Imagine her now."
"You're not supposed to be like this!'"
bang
"'Why do you do this?!'"
bang
"I'm hopeless without you, don't do this to me!'"
bang
"Hopeless, hopeless, hopeless. That's all she was."
My mind flashes back to the pile of dead bodies in the school yard.
"All that I did for her... And she rejected me 24/7 in return."

The Painter: A fantasy psych thriller and epic
*** June 21th Update ***- New chapters are being posted! I haven't figured out a schedule yet, but stay tuned!- Thank you to everyone who has read and reviewed, I'm happy to say The Painter is in the top 200 best-rated fictions. - Readers of The Painter have suggested reading through Chapter 6 before making a decision on this book.- The story takes place in the Lootverse, but you don't need a canonical understanding to appreciate the storyFinally, a warning or reader beware: This is not an action novel (despite the coming fight scene) but a slow-burn psychological thriller of sorts. For a time, the Painter's life was simple. He lived in the small town of Kinon (called Kinney by locals) with his wife, Kahriah and his son, Thesdon. The story begins with him alone and unable to travel more than a few hundred miles from his home. For 5 years he tried to chart his prison until one day a letter appears with a mysterious commission that will see him test his condition and his boundary. Set roughly 50 years before the impending end of days (from Loot canon), The Painter is a story about loss, grit, and exploration of a seemingly normal man in a world of magic and monsters. The Painter will follow the man on his adventure to restore his family, uncover his commissioners and discover the nature of his condition. Loot is the decentralized, global, community built fantasy world based on Dom Hoffman's art/tech experiment: Loot. Fun fact: The cover of our book is painted by the artist, who the MC is loosely based on and the same person painting the Banners (digitally) IRL for an art/worldbuilding project.

The Good Crash: An Oral History of the Post-Scarcity Collapse
"Don't we all feel, deep down, that we deserve the apocalypse?" APRIL, 2028—Global capitalism has collapsed. America has sealed itself off from the outside world, and inside its borders, a revolution rages. All it took was one incredible little machine. That machine turned into two, then four, then eight... like a virus, the replicators spread. As a work of oral history, The Good Crash features over 50 interviews with key witnesses to the events of 2027. The text is rendered in the words used by the interviewees themselves, with light editing for clarity and concision. As such, the book contains language and themes that are not appropriate for children.By capturing the voices to the people at the very root of the revolution, journalist and historian R. Vondersnitch has traced the origins and aftermath of the replicators' rapid spread. Crucially, the book also includes perspectives and testimony from those who attempted to stop the spread of the reps. "Some of these are heroes, too, in their own ways," the author writes in the book's introductory note.

A Solitary God In A Dark Multiverse
Eons ago a devastating and apocalyptic battle took place that rocked every dark and loathsome corner of the multiverse. In the aftermath of the battle, deities, demon-lords, old ones, arch-devils, angel kings and archon queens, not to mention other cosmically powerful entities were totally obliterated. Despite this history-changing occurrence, life found a way and life went on in a godless multiverse for an unimaginable length of time. And in time, even the mightiest and most popular gods were nearly forgotten. But one day, in a universe unlike our own, an altogether fantastic and magical universe, a deity is born. A new deity. A deity of a nebulous morality. Join the aforementioned morally unbound deity as he embarks on a quest to gain power, worshippers, and glory. This story features a deity as its protagonist, but it's a deity who starts off alone in a dark and harsh multiverse. He needs worshippers to grow in power and has to earn his victories intelligently. He seeks to gain worshippers, discover the truth behind his genesis, and become the deity he is meant to be. He is a protagonist who will hurt others, and he's unafraid to kill and destroy what he can't control. This is his story. If lore intrigues you, consider dropping by the World Anvil! It is chock full of juicy lore, and history, and it is slowly expanding as I add new articles to it. It is a place for me to write out the major details and introduce readers to the grander complexities that the story doesn't always let me write out in detail. Killstealer
Unfinished - Apologies to anyone who was reading but I have no current intentions to revisit this story Alex was stuck in a rut: He was nearing thirty, and his career seemed to be going no-where; He used to have plenty of friends at university, but had gradually lost touch with them. He had recently started using a dating site, but truthfully he never quite got over his ex. It could be worse; he didn't spend his nights wallowing in self pity. However, he had a sinking feeling that his life was going no-where fast. When Alex decided to take up an old hobby all he really was looking for was something fun to do on friday nights. Thrust into another world by a mad mage Alex must adapt quickly to survive. Unfortunately, Alex showed up late to game night and ends up stuck with a pretty mediocre character in this game like reality. Alex must learn to survive in this new world; just because it all seems like a giant game doesn't make death any less terrifying. This will be my first attempt at writing litrpg. I wanted to set myself the challenge of writing every week and I think knowing people might be reading it will motivate me. I've always worked much better with external deadlines. FAQ Why should I read this LitRPG? I am writing because I enjoy it and you should read it if you enjoy it. If I had to make an elevator pitch I would start off by saying my MC is a rogue type character, which seems a relatively uncommon character at least based on what I have read. I also strive to make the supporting cast three dimensional characters, and not just caricatures. Finally, I can't forget that this is a LitRPG so I have tried to make a RPG system with depth, and one that makes sense. How often will you release chapters? At least once a week is my goal. I am a nurse with a baby at home, so between my hospital and my baby I won't have time for more unless something dramatically changes. Will there be romance? I won't rule it out as I try to let my characters write their own stories. However, there will NEVER be a harem, it just isn't something I am interested in. Gore, Profanity, and Traumatising Content? I don't intend to have any of these present at obscene levels, but my tolerance might be different to yours. The tags are mostly there to cover me.
