"Luca stop, please!" I yelled as I ran after Luca and grabbed onto his arm.

Currently, Luca was stomping down the halls, searching for Cloud. He looked furious and even ignored me when I tried to calm him and stop him. He snarled down at me again but I just let out a whimper in response. I grabbed his arm tightly and tried to use all my weight to stop him but it didn't work and he kept walking normally while dragging me. I stopped when he did, thinking he decided to listen to me but I peered past him and froze when I saw he was staring at Cloud. My eyes widened and I grabbed Luca's arm tighter.

"Luca, please. Please, Luca, stop..." I said softly and finally, he looked down at me.

"Lynn, he hurt whats mine. He hurt you," he said in a deeper voice than normal as his blue eyes turned slightly brighter, mixing with a light yellow. His fox was starting to come out and it scared me. I whimpered softly and tried to convince him again but he just ripped away from me, turning on his brother.

"Cloud!" he yelled to grab his brother attention.

Cloud looked up from Layla who was at his side and he frowned. He looked at his brother then his eyes rested on me. I bowed my head down and whimpered loud enough for him to hear, apologizing for what was to come. Luca snarled loudly as he stalked up to his brother, now grabbing my arm and pulling me along.

"Did you do this?" He asked Cloud as he held me in front of him. Cloud looked at me then to Luca and growled, putting Layla behind him protectively.

"He attacked my mate," was Cloud's only response. Luca snarled loudly in response.

"She's not dead. And Lynn is too fucking small to do any damage so that's not a good enough excuse. You hurt my fucking mate! You hurt what belongs to me!" Luca snapped as his fox finally came through fully. His eyes turned a blinding yellow as his fox took over his body, "I'll fucking kill you!" He yelled before he shifted to his fox form and lunged at his brother.

Layla moved out of the way as Cloud did and she let out a scream. Cloud shifted into a blonde fox and snarled loudly at his brother. They were actually going to fight. That thought scared me. I didn't want anyone getting hurt for my sake or anything! I cleared my thoughts when Luca let out a roar and tackled down his brother. Layla had run off to probably get help but I was frozen in place. What if they killed each other? What if Luca died because of me? Questions ran through my head as my panic and anxiety started to build more and more. The sound of roars, growls, teeth slashing and howls of pain rang through my ears until I couldn't take it anymore. Without thinking, I shifted to my own wolf and jumped between the two foxes.

"Stop!" I yelled to get their attention.

It worked for Cloud but Luca was so focused on the fight that he lunged for Luca but bit me instead, not noticing I was there. I screamed in pain as the teeth sank into my side, biting through my fur and skin. Once I had screamed though it seemed to have knocked Luca out of his rage and he pulled away, letting me drop to the ground. I laid on the ground and whimpered loudly, letting out whines of pain as well. I couldn't move as Luca bent over me.

"Lynn! Oh fuck Lynn I'm so sorry. Lynn, I'm so fucking sorry! Cloud get someone! You're gonna be okay. I don't think it was that deep of a bite," Luca said as he grabbed my head into his lap gently.

He must have shifted before bending beside me because I could feel human hands on me. My vision blurred from the pain and I whimpered softly against him. I didn't shift to my human form in fear of making the wound worse so I remained as my wolf. My ears shifted slightly as I heard running footsteps come to me. Luca was ripped away from me and I let out a loud cry, wanting my mate near me. I could feel as I was being picked up and I let out another cry, finally allowing my eyes to close.

I slowly opened my eyes and glanced around. I didn't have any strength in me, unable to lift my head. I looked up and squinted when a bright light was on my face. I looked around the best I could and it made me mad I couldn't see much. I couldn't see where I was.

Somehow my strength started to come back to me and I moved my back legs a little bit. I felt my tail brush up against the bottom of my paws and noticed I was still in my wolf form. The movement made me flinch from the pain in my stomach. I lifted my head a little and was finally able to look around. The first thing I noticed was Luca beside my bed. He was sitting in a chair but his head and arms were on my bed beside me, his hand holding my paw. He was snoring away and I frowned softly. He must have stayed with me this entire time. I glanced back at the small window. It didn't look like it was late out considering that it wasn't dark yet but time had passed for sure. I looked back to Luca and shifted slightly, taking my paw from his hand. He immediately jumped up and stared down at me, blinking slowly to wake himself up then smiling big.

"Lynn! Lynn, you're okay! Oh, you're okay," he said happily as he hugged my head to his chest and pressed his face to the top of my head.

I smiled up at him and let out a slow rumble of appreciation from my chest. I nuzzled closer to Luca and let out a soft whimper as he pulled away. He kissed my nose, promising he would be back then he left my room. I tried to sit up but the pain in my stomach was too much. I looked at my stomach and frowned. Luca had been right before about the bite not being deep but it was still there. There were stitches. One was above the other, not that far apart. I looked up as Rose ran in with Luca following. I looked at her and let out a loud whine. Rose chuckled and looked at my wounds.

"Damn Lynn, twice in one day? That's gotta be a record in some way," she said with a slight giggle. She nodded at my wounds then turned to me, "alright seems like you're good enough to leave. You're free to shift to your human form as well. Should accelerate the healing. I stopped by Toothfull while you were out and I was able to get a beaker with her saliva in it so it should help your healing. It's basically what she uses when Valley gets badly hurt. Well kinda. She actually uses this goo type substance that her brain develops that heals the wounds within seconds but hurts like hell since she has to bite down on you very hard to inject you with the goo since it comes out of little holes on the points of her teeth. I wasn't able to get any of that and Luca got mad when I came near you with the needle so I'm not gonna even imagine what he would do if I let Toothfull bite you," she rambled on then laughed by the end and hit Luca's arm playfully.

I smiled at her gently then slowly let my body shift back to normal. I let out a soft breath from the pain of the stitches moving but it felt more comfortable this way. I sat up slowly with Luca's help and he smiled at me gently, rubbing my bare back. I wasn't naked and still had my shorts on but I was confused about how I had lost my shirt. I shrugged it off as I felt Luca pick me into his arms. I whimpered softly and curled up against Luca, closing my eyes. I could feel Luca's chest rumbling as he talked but I didn't hear what he said. I was too out of it and soon enough, I passed out once again but this time in my mates' arms.

I awoke this time and looked up, coming face to face with Luca. I was laying on my back on the bed and he was beside the bed, watching over me. Luca noticed as I woke up and smiled down at me. As I felt his hand come up to my cheek, I leaned forward and kissed him softly. I could tell he was shocked by the way his body tensed up but he slowly relaxed and kissed me back, holding me close to him. He pulled away from me and pressed his forehead to mine.

"I was so scared, Lynn. I never want to hurt you ever again. I am so sorry. I thought once you awoke you'd tell me to hit the road and that you'd never want to see me again. I'm so sorry Lynn. I hurt you," he apologized over and over again but I just smiled. I let out a soft giggle and pressed my lips to his again to stop him from apologizing again. I pulled away and pressed my nose against his.

"I wouldn't leave you, Luca. Don't worry about any of that. I'll stay for as long as you will have me. You protect me and make me feel safe," I said softly and I swear his eyes lit up like a child's.

My smile only grew bigger when I saw how he reacted to my words and I laughed. Luca hugged me tightly and laughed with me. I leaned my head on his shoulder and smiled, content with my mate. I kissed his jawline to get his attention to turn back to me and he smiled down at me. He pulled away and stared down at me and I raised an eyebrow.

"What? Is there something wrong Luca?" I asked nervously and he smiled down at me.

"You're really beautiful when you smile, you know that?" He said like it was normal and a blush came onto my face.

I hid my face in my hands which caused a laugh to come from Luca. I pulled my hands away from Luca and swallowed nervously. I slowly sat up on the bed, accidentally making Luca worry and help me up. I sat back against the pillows against the headboard as he sat near my thighs, one hand on my thigh and rubbing it in a comforting way. He could tell something was troubled just by my mood change. I could tell by the look in his eye. I took a deep breath carefully. I trusted Luca and the deadline was tomorrow afternoon. I decided now was the time to make the decision and to do that, Luca needed to know everything about me. So I opened up.

"Luca, I think it's time I tell you my past. Please don't interrupt no matter how hard the stuff is to hear because it's worse to tell it. I want you to know everything there is about me. The deadline is tomorrow afternoon and you need to make a decision before then so are you ready?" I said softly and It instantly caught his attention. He moved closer to my head and grabbed my hand in his gently.

"Go ahead, Lynn. I'm listening." He gave me the, okay so I launched in instantly.

"Okay, we can start at the beginning then. When I was born my parents found out I was an omega and they dropped me off in some dark alley to die. Apparently, I had been out there for a couple of days before I was found by Alpha Zeek. He took me into the castle and he raised me with everyone's help until I was about 3-4 years old. He got me tested and found out I was an omega and a weaker one than normal at that so he kicked me out. He gave me my current apartment and I lived there although it's not safe or sanitary. Because I was young, I think everyone felt bad for me and they'd bring me food and water to survive. Although Alpha Zeek would get mad of course. But they would still bring it.

"By the age of 13, I started to become...more omega-like. I got my first heat and that was when it originally began. Alpha Zeek raped me that night, under the control of my heat. Well, it wasn't really rape since I asked for it because of my heat but I never really wanted it. After that, he would come into my apartment and rape me whenever he wanted. Even when I wasn't in my heat. Sometime's he would sell me out to other people to make extra money. Of course, I was grateful still because he kept saying he put that money towards paying for my apartment so I thought it was fine.

"When Alpha Zeek turned 50 he still hadn't found a suitable mate, so he used me. He got me pregnant when my heat and his rut synced up. Once I was pregnant, he made me move into the castle with him. He made sure I ate properly, I was healthy and I had everything I wanted and needed. Once I had Rector, mine and Alpha Zeek's son, I was still taken care of and living in the castle. Rector was a healthy baby and I thought he would be safe within the castle walls. Sadly that wasn't the case," I stopped as I let a tear fall from my eye and I sniffled loudly to stop myself from crying.

Luca didn't say anything, only squeezed my hand for me to continue. I took a deep breath and went on, "we all slept in separate rooms and one night I heard Rector crying in his room so I ran to the room but by the time I got there, he was already gone. The window was open too. I looked around the room for him then screamed into the castle that Rector was gone. Alpha Zeek was the first to me and he ordered everyone to start looking for his son. By the next day, when Rector didn't show up, I was kicked out of the castle. Alpha Zeek blamed me for Rector being taken and said I should have been with Rector. Everyone searched for months, maybe a year then gave up. There were no hints of him even being near the castle.

"To this day, nobody knows where Rector is or if he's even alive... that happened when I was probably 14 years old. Then Lurch suddenly appeared and Alpha Zeek raised him. Unfortunately, when Lurch grew up he became like Alpha Zeek and would rape me too. Rarely though. He would much rather beat me up instead. Wait..." I stopped to think and frowned, "I might be older than I thought. I think I'm 35? I don't know and that's not the point. But yes that's about it. I had some people help me out throughout my life. Usually, I'd get $20 every week for food and everything from Alpha Zeek but stores would raise their prices a lot when they would see me. It was normal for me to get beaten and raped by everyone in the pack but some people didn't want to even come near me when I was out on the streets." I finished as I wiped my eyes. I slowly looked up at Luca's face and couldn't read what he was thinking.

He pulled his hand from mine slowly, getting off the bed slowly. Without another word, he got up, stared down at me then left. He left without even looking back. My heart shattered as I watched him leave and tears rolled down my cheeks. But I accepted it. I accepted the rejection. Nobody would ever love me with a past like mine.
