☾︎ a dragon's breath held your heart when you were down, even Celestia refused to see you frown,

your eyes quiver when you think of the life you have to live,

the burden of great valor comes with unfortunate gifts,

and i wish i knew that feeling, but Celestia doesn't allow wishful dreaming.

and this is the reason i peer when you step on the streets with such gentle grace,

the type of poise i've been dreaming for all these days, but that will never be me, or so Celestia says.

☾︎ i've heard your stories from all these strangers here in town, and i've always wondered;

would you be so valiant without the love, the praise, the kindness and the grace that Celestia taught you about?

would it be just like this, if you were in my place?

and i'd get to be the daughter Celestia loves most, again with the wishful thinking, i should practice to abstain more,

love can truly turn the tide of one's life,

you're riding golden chariots,

but those can never be mine,

or so Celestia says.
