《Trip to The Homeland》MIRACULOUS CHAPTER 24

Marinette's POV

Today was the day we were finally going home. Everybody's luggage was in the lobby.

Groups of Chinese students from my grandfather's school helped in loading all the heavy load into the bus that was taking us to the airport.

I actually couldn't believe that we were actually going back to Paris. I was gonna miss China a lot, even with all the commotion that has happened.

"A penny for your thoughts?"

I didn't need to turn around to know who was behind me.

"Nah, I think I'll pass."

Adrien chuckled and placed his chin on my shoulder; his golden hair and warm breath was tickling my neck.

We over-looked the busy lobby. Chloe addressing Sabrina to fix her luggage, Alix and Kim running around, Alya taking pictures while Nino was watched her.

Yep.

Everything was perfect.

"Hey lovebirds."

Adrien and I turned around seeing that the owner of the voice was Kristie.

She was pushing a wheelchair that had Ling on it.

Poor guy, he had his arm wrapped in a cast, his head was covered in bandages, and he looked sickly pale.

He looked great, in general.

Well, kind of.

"You look well, Ling."

"Don't lie to me Mari. You know I look hideous in these bandages, plus don't forget the wheelchair." He said in a very annoyed, but playful tone.

"I'm going to miss you guys, and China." I said trying hard not to let my tears fall.

"We will too," Ling replied.

Adrien cleared his throat loud enough to sense that he's getting jealous.

Again.

I sighed mentally.

'Oh Adrien, what'll I ever do with you.'

I faced him, caressed his cheek,"Don't you think I forgot about you kitty."

He snickered,"Wouldn't dream of it princess."

"You're a really silly kitty, kitty."

He laughed out his angelic laugh that I love.

We almost didn't notice the pair we were talking too.

Key word. Almost.

"Don't you guys think that we can't see you leaving."

They stopped dead in their tracks.

HAH.

HAHA!

HAHAHA!

But unfortunately they zoomed away. Probably to do 'business' as well.

I knew those two were meant to be.

I sighed,"What are we gonna do with those two?"

Adrien pulled me in closer,"More importantly what am I supposed to do with you?"

I pulled away slightly,"What is that supposed to mean?"

"This." And he placed his lips against mine.

Usually there would be butterflies fluttering inside of me, but now they were replaced by fireworks.

Fireworks that made me feel how Adrien felt about me.

That he loves me.

And I love him.

Once we flew back to Paris we would see what'll happen from there.

As a couple.

As heroes.

As ladybug and Chat Noir.

And as Adrien and Marinette.

And when our plane took off I looked back at the beautiful country that was shrinking.

I smiled and thought that it was certainly an amazing trip to my homeland.

After the trip

~The inn~

Nana's POV

When the kids finally left; the inn was quiet and empty as it used to be.

Normal people came in and went out.

I felt so alone even with Ping with me.

I looked out the window and the rain was pouring heavily.

I sighed. I missed the kids.

It's so quiet without them.

I was at the front desk attending to some papers when the bell rang, indicating that there was a customer.

"Hello welcome to our inn, how ma-"

I stopped.

No.

I can't be.

The man standing in front of me wore a straw hat atop his head, a red Hawaiian button up shirt, and khakis.

"Fu!"

He smiled,"It's good to see you Bridgette."

"What a pleasant surprise," I exclaimed.

"Indeed it is. I heard you got controlled by an akuma."

I groaned,"Don't remind me."

I smiled,"Why doesn't the great and powerful ladybug like being controlled?"

"Haha. Very funny Fu, and I think you mean ex-ladybug."

"Of course, whatever you say bridge."

I laughed.

"What's happening in here?" We turned around to see Ping with a mask of confusion.

"Felix! It's good to see you brother."

Ping let out a laugh,"You know it's Ping now Fu, but it's still good to see you."

Felix went over to Fu, and hugged him.

It was good too see an old partner in crime after all those years.

"So. What did you think of the new ladybug and Chat noir?"

I smiled.

What did I think?

I think that the new ladybug aka my grandaughter was amazing.

She did well.

Also with that feisty cat by her side.

I had a good feeling about that boy.

"I liked the cat. He did a good job."

I smiled at Felix,"A better job than you?"

He gave me a playful glare,"No one is a better Chat noir than I was in our days."

I just smiled and pinched his cheeks, then faced Fu once more.

"They were excellent choices Fu."

"You're not saying that because she's your grandaughter, right?" He tilted his head a bit.

I just shrugged,"Anyway Fu since you're here would you stay for some tea?"

He gave me a warm smile,"How could I refuse a good cup of tea?"

The three of us walked out of the lobby to have a nice chat and a cup of tea.
