Though she left 3 hours ago, I couldn’t sleep, not with the noise from downstairs.

Someone knocks at my door and I jump to my feet, hoping it was her.

“Hey.” Josh greats me as I open the door. I feel the guilt run through my whole body.

Shit. Shit. He might find out.

He walks in my room and sits on my messy bed, “I know you and Lacey did something.”

My blood ran cold, “I-I can explain.”

“No need. Its fine, I broke up with her remember?” he chuckles and drinks from the red cup he was holding, I hadn’t even noticed it until now.

“Why did you break up with her?” I ask him as I take a seat on the floor opposite to where he is.

“She’s like Becca,They're just girls breaking hearts.” he says.

“You better stay away from Lacey, Her eyes bright, she’s uptight. Not afraid to break your heart, like she did to me.” he warns, I grit my teeth because I know he’s right.

“I need her, she makes me feel alive. Not like those other girls, she’s different.” I explain through gritted teeth, I should know better, this guy in front of me, my brother, knows her better than I do.

“Yeah, she is different but she can't be what you need if she's 17.” He stands up and pats my back,
