Waking up I smell something in the kitchen so I push the covers back and get out of bed.
Walking into the kitchen I see Melvin standing at the stove naked wearing an apron causing me to scrunch up my face and look away.
"Want some breakfast". He asked looking back at me.
"Nigga what I want is for you to put some fucking clothes on". I said snatching the refrigerator door open.
"What happened to all the kool-aid". I ask looking at the empty pitcher.
"I took the last Lil bit". He said holding the cup up.
Shaking my head I slam the refrigerator door and walk off.
Getting dressed I wait till he leaves to go talk to my mom.
"Mama you got this nigga living here now". I ask walking away from the window after he pulled off.
"What I'm not supposed to have a life, Jodie". She asked sitting at the table.
"You got a life fuck is you talking about". I say and she looks up at me.
"I ain't like big mama I got to have me some fun".She said laughing a little.
"You can have fun mama but why you got to let the man live here he's a killer just like Henry was". I said mugging her.
"What am I supposed to do huh, what do you expect me to do roll over and die". She asked raising her hands.
"So what you gone kick me out just let me know now cause I don't need no surprises ". I said looking down at her.
"I do can you surprise me and move out". She asked looking up at me.
"Man fuck this shit". I said walking out and Pea was standing outside.
"Mama got to have a life too". He said leaning up against the car.

"Shut up". I said walking to the driver's side of the car getting in.
Since Jodie has the car I had to walk all the way over to Ms. Juanita's house with JoJo.
"What am I supposed to do Ms.Juanita you should know that's your son". I said watching as she and JoJo worked on her garden.
"I know that's my son but y'all are grown Yvette and I'm not in it". She said as Melvin came out and got down In front of her kissing her.
"You know he got my car while he got me and my son out here walking I feel so stupid". I said folding my arms.
"You not stupid Yvette you far from it you just in love with a man". She said walking over to the other side of the garden and I follow her.
"Let me tell you, something baby, when you in love with a man he can make you feel high so high you just be in outer space, but he can also make yo ass feel low real low and he can keep you there and keep you down if you let him". She said looking up at me and I look down at the ground.
"I love him I just don't know what to do at this point". I said looking back at her.
"That's my son and I love him but if he's not treating you the way you're supposed to be treated leave his ass cause now he gone always expect you to stay and forgive him when he does wrong". She said standing up grabbing my arms as she spoke.
Looking over JoJo was watering some plants.
"Good boy JoJo did you get the corn". She said causing him to look over.
"Yes, grandma". He said smiling at her.

"That's my boy now put a little bit more water on the greens". She said pointing to what she was talking about.
Walking back over to the table I pick up Jodies' daughter and sit down. I could hear the gate open and heels hitting the concrete.
"Hey, Juanita where my baby". I heard Peanut say and Juanita looked over at me.
I wave with a smirk on my face before putting the magazine I had in my hands on the table.
"Hey, mamas". She said walking over as I lifted the baby up.
The baby started crying so I kissed her cheek and handed her over before getting her bag and holding it out to Peanut.
She looked me up and down and I pulled my top back pointing to Jodie's name and she scoffed.
"Let me see my grandbaby so I can give her some kisses before she leaves". Juanita said and she walked away.
Taking a seat back in the chair I picked the magazine back up.
As I'm sleeping I could hear my mom saying something causing me to wake up.
"Ooo Melvin". I heard her say causing me to scrunch up my face.
"Mmm aww baby". She moaned and I shake my head.
"Ooo I love to ride". I heard her say and that was enough for me.
Pushing the covers back I storm over to her room door and beat on it.
"Can y'all keep it down in there people out here trynna sleep"? I said and she was still moaning.
Me and Pea were smoking in my room talking about this broad I hit when Melvin walks by shaving his head.
"This nigga talking about he a killa". I said taking a drag from my blunt.
He walked back but this time standing in my doorway.
"You know the problem with you lil niggas you think you know everything about the damn world". He said pointing at us.
"And you don't know shit and I see you got yourself a little business going and that's good that good you make that paper but when you making that paper you got to learn some rules to go with it". He said staring at me.
"You got to know the difference between guns and butter there's two types of niggas in this world there's niggas with guns and niggas with butter". He said looking between me and Pete.
"The guns that's real estate, stocks, and bonds". He said taking a drag from his cigar.
"And then there's butter cars, clothes, jewelry that's what it's all about guns and butter you little dumb mother fuckers". He said before walking away.
"You see this shit this is every time". I said say to Pea.
"What". He said stopping and turning to look at me.
"Night I said you be with that preaching shit everytime". I said starting at him.
"You don't want these problems youngin". He said causing me to laugh.
"Let's go before I put this nigga on his ass". I said going past Pea.

The Undead Revolution
This was my first attempt at writing a story, in hiatus indefinitely. This story follows Silvy, half-elf, a rare race despised by both humans and elves. Having never met her father, the first years of her life were spent together with her mother, who had to leave her native village because of the blasphemy she had committed by giving birth to Silvy. At the age of eight, Silvy became an orphan and was left to fend for herself. Her mother had died of illness, Silvy’s life turning upside down: the child went from living in a modest but cozy home with poor but daily meals to live outside the walls in the slums, where crime was commonplace and food was scarce. Luck had yet to abandon her completely though, because a group of orphans like Silvy decided to help, integrating her into their group and teaching the tricks of the trade; that is, stealing and swindling. But fate had not yet finished playing with her. Kidnapped and frightened, her life will turn upside down again when she awakens as undead, but still able to think clearly.
