《The Human Luna》Part 33

"You can't keep me inside bitch"
Mariah teased me before turning around again. I knew what she was gonna do. I dont know why she was going to but she was.
She ran.
Called it. I sighed deeply and turned to the table full of my friends and their families. Everyone else had already left and it was just us.
I turned back around and saw that Mariah had made it about halfway through the front field. I was impressed of how fast she could run....for a human.
I rolled my eyes and chuckled before running towards her. I got there in about 5 seconds and grabbed her, throwing her over my shoulder, before she could react.
I chuckled as she stayed frozen for a second. All the sudden Mariah started pounding on my back with her fists. My slight chuckles turned to full out laughs.
"LET ME DOWN THIS INSTANT!" My mate yelled. I shook my head but then I remembered she couldn't see me so I responded.
"I've caught you now, why would I let you go?" She huffed and continued squirming, trying to get away.
I started to walk back towards the pack house. "Hold on!" I warned Mar before using werewolf speed to get back in a couple seconds.
"AH!" She screamed when I stopped. Mariah was now clutching my shirt in her fists.
"YOU ASSHOLE! IM NOT A FRIGGIN WEREWOLF! YOU CANT JUST GO ALL FLASH SPEEDY ON ME!"
Mar screamed then smacked my ass. I was shocked for a second but then did the only reasonable thing.
I did it back.
"YOU STUPID ALPH- eeeek!" I cut her off mid-rant by hitting her ass. It was bound to happen sooner or later soooooo.
"HEY!" Mar scolded me. I just laughed told her "You did it to me, its only fair." I heard her grumble under her breath.

"Stupid alpha werewolf"
"I can hear you" I said in a sarcastic voice.
"You were meant to! Now let me down! My brain feels like its about to fall out of my head." I chuckled at her wierd statement before setting her down.
Mariah was bright red and stumbled around before I grabbed her forearms. She glared at me but it just looked cute.
"Oh babes! What did he do to you!" Bryli's mom came running up and grabbed my mate's cheeks, turning her face from side to side.
Mariah laughed and shook her head. "I'm good. He just used his flash speed and ran with me upside down."
I could hear the accusation under her sweet tone. Everyone turned to me with amused expressions.
I shrugged my shoulders and pulled Mariah back to my side. She pulled against me but I had already wrapped my arms around her waist. She couldn't escape, and she knew it too.
I put my chin on her shoulder and looked at everyone in front of me. Bryli's family was really big. Damien had two younger brothers that got along with him really well.
Ethan's parents adored him and Selena and were a really sweet couple. Selena's family was, of course, at their pack.
Nate's parents were both top warriors and trained him from a really young age. And Rylin's parents were the jokesters.
"Well we have to get going. Love you guys!" Bryli told her family while kissing her dad on the cheek and hugging her mom.
Everyone said they're goodbyes and I noticed Mariah staring at them. She was probably missing her family, her real one. I did with mine.
I missed my little sister and parents. Although, I saw no jealousy or hate in her hazel eyes. All that was shining through was happiness and joy.

She wasn't envious of everyone. I had so much to learn from her. I hated everyone for the first 2 months after I lost my parents.
All my friends had mates and families but i was left with nothing....or that's what I thought. Now i realize i was wrong.
"Let's goooo!" Ethan announced and we walked back to the car.
"What's you favourite colour Mariah?" Selena asked me. I scrunched my eyebrows at the off-topic question.
"Yellow. You've already asked me this question Lena." I told her. It was her turn to scrunch up her face.
"Really?" I nodded and answered.
"Yah, when you saved me from Tyler. When we were walking to the lunch room, you asked me what my favourite color, and food was. And if I liked Jacob or Edward better. And you all had a wierd reac- OHHHH"
I said all the sudden as I got why they were so happy when I chose Jacob. He was a werewolf!
"Wait, wait, wait. I saved you from Tyler. What are you talking about." Ryder asked me, looking lowkey pissed.
Shit.
"Uhhh n-nothing. Anyway, what's your favourite Lena?" I said quickly trying to change the subject.
"No no no! When did this happen?" Ryder demanded, stopping which made all of us stop.
"MyfirstdayhereTylercameuptomeandsaidsomethingaboutmebeingthealpha'sandthegirlscameandmadehimgoaway!"
I mumbled really fast. I didn't need him declaring war with anyone because they came up to me.
"Mariah..." Ryder growled. Obvious warning in his voice. I huffed and crossed my arms while looking away and saying.
"My first day here Tyler came up to me and said something about me being the Alpha's and the girls came and made him go away so dont worry."
Ryder grit his teeth and turned around.
"Where are you going!?" I exclaimed when he stopped away.
"I'm going to kick his ass." Ryder called like it was the most logical thing in the world.
I groaned and screamed at the same time while clenching my fists.
"You cant just go all possessive koala bear on me Ryder! It's fine come here!" I demanded in my strongest voice.
Ryder froze.
Oh shit. Okay. We're fine. He's probably coming back. Not going all Alpha on you Mar...right?
His face was completely blank as he made his way towards me and grabbed my hand. Then, we continued the walk towards the car.
"Ryder?" I asked tentatively. He just looked forwards. He opened the door and waited for me to get in before sliding in next to me and sitting.
What have I done to myself!?
