Killing, swearing, blades
After what felt like forever, we finally made it to the school. It was dark, the school had vines on it and pieces of the school were on the ground. The school gave off a weird feeling, like someone or something was still there.."" I said as we all started to walk in, Ruby clung to Sam's arm clearly scared. "Don't worry Ruby, I'll be here to protect you!" Sam said trying to make Ruby a little less scared. We took the first step into the school, ready for the adventure of a lifetime. It was so deserted..endless hallways laid hollow and bare, once filled with students walking to their next class. I grabbed the flashlight from the backpack and shined it down the halls, seeing several cobwebs and dust everywhere. "Cool.." Sam said astonished, we started to walk down the halls looking around at what once was a crowded with kids. We stopped at an intersection, the left side was the Café, the right side was a hallway. "Which way should we go?" Henry questioned, all of us looked both ways before deciding to go left and enter the Café. Opening the doors, we walked through and looked around, tables laid bare and dusty. "To think that students used to eat off of these tables..it kinda hurts to know that they never got to do that again." Sam said upsettingly.
Maddie's POV:
I was just floating down the hallways as I noticed the Cafés doors were open, I flew inside and saw 4 people, 2 girls and 2 guys. I couldn't help but see one individual that looked familiar..the one they called "Henry" looked like Jacob..it must be his reincarnation..I'm not letting him leave this hellhole he shot up in 1968 nor will I let him hurt the people with him! I have to save them!

After a while of looking around and writing stupid shit on the tables with the dust, we kept walking and left the Café. "" I asked, "How about we go down the hall that we were thinking about going down but didn't?" Sam said. We all nodded and walked down the hallway, looking side to side at everything we saw. "Oh look! A classroom!" Henry said as he pointed to a class that looked like a workshop. I gave the flashlight to Sam as I grabbed the crowbar out of the backpack and pried the door open. We walked in and went to the right, inside was a giant woodshop! Machines laid dusty and old, the blades still in the machines and still sharp too. It was astonishing to look at, as we wandered around the shop, looking at all the machines and wood that was in the place. "Wow...this is amazing!" Sam said excitedly, but we wanted to keep exploring so we all left the workshop and out the doors we came in through and walked down the hall. But something felt off..""
Finally. I have him, they went in the workshop so I followed after them and one of them won't leave these doors! I closed the door with a loud thud and picked up a sharp circled saw, once used to cut wood will now cut the man's neck clean off. I came over to him, saying "" I shouted.
Ruby's POV:
I was the last to leave since I was zoned out, but before I could walk out the doors slammed shut! I turned quickly to see a circled saw floating in the air?! I heard a voice say something, but I didn't hear it since they sounded so quiet.."W-Who's there?" I said scared. The mysterious saw floating finally revealed the person who was holding the saw..my vision cut to black after I saw who it was..

I came towards him and slit his neck clean off , the screams dying down as the blood shot out of his neck and his bloody body dropped to the floor. I laughed as I picked up the head of the man who I killed, but I apparently must have gotten the wrong person. This one was a woman, the shy one who clung to another girls arm, clearly scared. I dropped the head and the saw as I heard people running closer and so I disappeared into the shadows of the workroom...
As we kept walking I noticed Ruby wasn't here, but before I could say anything..we heard a loud scream from the workshop! We all ran towards the room and quickly opened the door, before seeing an image that would scar us for eternity. There lied Ruby, decapitated by a saw..her cold Lifeless eyes looked in shock as her head lied on the floor, a puddle of blood surrounding the body and the head. The saw was covered in blood from where she was cut at. I heard tears and sobs come from Sam..it broke my heart to see one of my closest friends killed.."" I said shakely..I didn't wanna see it for much longer before I would have cried or thrown up..it was hard trying to get Sam out of there..but it was for the greater good. "I think we should leave..I'm nor liking this anymore.." Henry said scared. I wanted to keep going but the other wanted to leave "" I said quietly before I kept walking, "Fine. But after we are done looking we are getting the hell outta here!" Henry snapped back. "Guys I'm just gonna leave, I don't trust this place anymore. See ya.." Sam said as she sadly walked away from us.

How will the world fair when no one even knows its doom is one barred gate away? Fortunately, the traitor has a plan. Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
