to London and Basilwether. Y/N frowned. "Why did we stop?", she asked. "Enola, whatever you're thinking..."
"Oh hell. I know where this is going." L/N mumbled.
"We need to go back to Basilwether," Enola said. "What?!", both Tewkesbury and Y/N exclaimed. The automobile took a turn to the path she wanted to go, followed by the girl riding the white stallion.
"An injustice has occured. It's time to right some wrongs. You want a culprit, find the motive." Enola said.
"I don't understand." Tewkesbury stated.
"When were you due to be inducted into the Lords?", Holmes inquired.
"Imminently!" "How would you have voted on the bill?" "The same as my father. I'd be for it." "Who knew that? And who stands to gain the estate with your father dead and if you die?"
Y/N's eyes widened. This finally makes sense. "My Uncle", the young lord answered in a tone of disbelief.
"You think this is my uncle's doing?", he asked. "Doesn't it make sense?", Enola answered.
"It does," L/N said. "But he's a powerful man. What on earth could we do?", the boy asked.
"Solve the crime, of course." Enola said cleverly.
"Enola, we are all extremely lucky to have lived this long, and you want to drive us into a place where there is most certain danger?", Tewkesbury asked.
"Sometimes, Tewkesbury, you have to dangle your legs in the water to attract the bloody sharks!"
"Why would we want to attract the bloody sharks?!", Y/N and Tewkesbury asked in unison.
"Good point."
As they got to the estate, Y/N's heart pounded fast in her chest as her hands went cold and white. The moon was up in the night sky of twinkling stars and thick black clouds.
"This is a terrible idea. The closer we get, the worse this idea becomes. Why are we doing this?", Tewkesbury asked as the automobile stopped along with the horse. They got off their transportations and sighed.
"Unlike most well-bred ladies, Inwas never taught to embroider. I never molded wax roses, hemmed handkerchiefs or strung seashells. I was taught to watch and listen. I was taught to fight. This is what my mother made me for. Trust me...to find the answers we need, " Enola said. Y/N related to that, though she can't say she was never taught how to do those things when she really has.
"You don't know how to embroider?" was the only thing the young lord asked after that inspirational speech.
Y/N rolled her eyes. "And this is the Lord we want to save? I don't know. I'm a bit skeptical here," she said tauntingly. The boy looked at her and placed his hand on his chest. "Ow."
"I was taught all of those things, but unlike you, I never mastered my combat training. I'm only good with knives and without them, I'm completely and utterly useless. But, I will fight alongside you with honour and dignity. Until death pays me a visit." L/N said.

"We need to do this," Enola said. "You both need to do this. We...are doing this. Now, let's go."
As the door closed behind them, they looked around. Y/N quickly went behind Tewkesbury and held his shoulders. "Are you afraid of the dark?", he asked.
"I'm not afraid of the dark, I'm afraid of what's in it." She answered.
"Where are all the servants?", Tewkesbury questioned. "Welcome to the future," Enola said.
"Mother?", the young lord called. No one answered. It was quiet that even a fart of an ant can be heard. "What's happening?"
"They know we're here." Y/N mumbled as they walked towards a porcelain vase. Suddenly, they heard a rifle cock. "Down!", Enola commanded as the trigger was pulled hitting the expensive pot causing it to shatter into pieces with a loud noise.
"Run!", Holmes shouted as they did what they're told. Y/N was too busy running wherever her feet took her that she got separated from the two.
She looked around to find herself in a room full of glass windows with no light but the one that came from the moon.
She then heard footsteps near her. Swiftly grabbing the dagger under her dress, she looked around cautiously. "You really used my stupidity to get myself separated from the others to your advantage, huh?", she asked.
"Look at what your mother has raised." She heard a man's voice. "Who the hell are you?", she asked.
"Someone. No one."
"Someone or no one? Make up your mind. If you're trying to be creepy, try harder. I'm not convinced." Y/N said.
"Right they are. You are brave."
"Unlike you who hides in the shadows of the night. A cowardly bastard you are." She said. Suddenly, a grinning man revealed himself from the left side of the room.
"What do you want from me?"
"Simple. Go back to the estate with me."
"My father hired you, didn't he?"
"Yes, he did. Quick brain."
"What if I refuse?", she arched an eyebrow. "Then it's final, we have to end you as well." He answered.
"As well? You and my traitor of a father are working with whoever is behind the marquess' case, aren't you?", she asked.
"Indeed." "That's another reason why I won't go with you. You're as disgusting as your employer."
"You'll take those words back to your throat once I'm done with you."
"Is that so? Show me what you've got then!", Y/N scowled and rushed forward to him.
She was about to stab him on the chest when her hand was caught by the man who only laughed. She pulled her hand away and rushed to the side when he punched his fist on the air that was supposed to be her stomach.
"Swift. You were trained," he said and sweeped his legs to the ground hitting her and sending her to the floor with a yelp.
"But not quite." He said. The man kicked her on the chest making her groan. He then kneeled to grab her neck when she slashed his arm.
The man screamed. "What is your name?", she asked as she pushed him to the ground with the knife threateningly pointed to his laryngeal prominence.
"Danté," he gulped.
"You have a knife on your throat. You're so easy. Is that how idiotic y/f/n is?", she asked.
In one sudden movement, the dagger was now being held by Danté. He kicked the girl causing her to crash on the wall with a thud.

She groaned loudly. "Your confidence is controlling your guard. Next time, don't let it...that is, if there is next time." He said.
Y/N screamed tackling the man to the ground once again. One idiotic movement that she forgot her mother told her to avoid.
This one mistake made her opponent thrust her own dagger into her back. She gasped in shock and pain.
The girl fell on her side to the floor. Tears started to stream down her rosy cheeks as she sobbed. 'You deserve that for being such an overconfident stupid bitch', she told herself.
'Look at the woman you raised, mother. A complete failure that she is.' she whispered to the wind hoping her mother would hear.
'I thought you wanted to die fighting for feminism? Not this man your father hired caused by daddy issues.' she heard herself speak.
'I'm going mad. Is this really what it's like to die?' 'Idiot, you're not dead yet.' 'Then why am I talking to myself?'
'Because you're hoping to convince yourself to stay awake, stand up and fight' 'Yeah, but what's the use if I'm stubborn as hell?'
'Think about the promise you made to your mother. How you're going to fight until the world has finally changed. Think about Enola who's probably getting shot out there with Tewkesbury. The man you've grown fond of.'
'Enola's strong. She's a fighter. She can do it.'
'Can she? Remember, chances are at stake if you're fighting against a bigger something alone. Think about the young lord. You don't want to leave him alone now, do you? Stand up, Y/N. Your job isn't done. Finish what you started.'
'Wow okay. I really needed that. Thanks. But, can I know? Is this all in my head or like...are you really there? Is this like some sort of magic stuff?'
'Of course, this is just a hallucination caused by the slow process of losing your blood from a wound, but it doesn't mean you should throw whatever you heard from me. Now, stand up and get your shit together. Fight.'
Y/N laughed and struggled to stand up. The man before her had his eyes gaped. "You're supposed to be dead!", he exclaimed.
"But here I am. It would take a lot more than just a stab wound to get me killed. Now, let's do this again, shall we?", she asked and started to do her fighting stance.
The girl took a deep breath and tried to remember her training. 'Mother said if the opponent has a knife, outsmart them and never take the knife until you break their striking arm. Control them.'
The man stroke forward left making her leaned to the right. She grabbed his arm tightly and held it out as she elbowed it causing him to cry in pain. The dagger fell to the floor with a clang.
The girl watched it and before she could kick him, she was punched on the stomach once again. She couldn't help but cry at the pain he inflicted, but she isn't going to let him win this.
Y/N coughed and kicked him on the crotch, pushing him somewhere that he'd stay stunned.
He was still on his feet which impressed the girl. She then grabbed her dagger and rushed forward to him, jumping on his back with her hands on his shoulders as support.
L/N pushed themselves to the floor and once she's done so, she rolled and made him face her, plunging the sharp silver dagger to his chest with a grim expression on her face.
"I didn't want to kill you until you pushed me to."
His eyes were opened when he took his last breath. It made Y/N's body hair stand with fear. She sobbed quietly and pulled her weapon back to her.
She really didn't want to kill anyone.
But it turns out, in a world like this, she has to.
Y/N tried to find Tewkesbury and Enola only to see them in a corridor, extremely in need of help. Holmes was on the floor, her head bloody and Tewkesbury...
"Tewkesbury," she mumbled to herself. The boy was being slowly killed by some guy she recognised to be the one who tried to kill him on the train.
A golden chain was wrapped around his neck tightly being held by the murderer.
Y/N furrowed her eyebrows as she let her anger fill up her chest. "You motherfucker!", she screamed and charged towards him.
The man transfered the other side of the chain to his other hand as he punched the girl on the head causing her to fall to the ground.
Tewkesbury screamed and tried to get the material off his neck when he witnessed the girl fall in front of him, half concious. She groaned.
'Way to go, Y/N. That was really an excellent thing to do when you're trying to save someone. Scream at the murderer's face'
'What? You got a better idea?'
'No need for that. Watch Enola.'
The girl turned her head to the young lord's direction and saw the man getting attacked by the youngest Holmes. He couldn't do anything ending up for him to fall to his side and hit his neck on the ancorn looking object a few feet away from them.
Tewkesbury coughed and dashed forward to Y/N. He carefully placed his hands on her cheeks cupping them with so much worry etched on his face.
"Are you okay?", he asked.
"Oh I'm dandy, thanks for asking," L/N sarcastically answered. The Viscount furrowe dhis eyebrows as he left a tear escape his eye.
"Even in the verge of death, you're still going to be sarcastic?", he questioned and chuckled.
"Even until I'm six feet under, Sir. That's kind of my brand." The girl said and sat up.
Her and the boy stared at each other longingly as if they just wanted to admire one another all night, but...
Not long after, a small ticking sound echoed through the halls of the large estate. They all turned their heads to where it came from.
The frowns that were supposed to be long gone returned on their faces as they watched an old woman walk forward.
The trio stood up looking at Tewkesbury's grandmother with defeat and betrayal. "Grandmother?"
"Yes, I'm afraid so. It seems, that if you want a job done, you have to do it yourself." The old woman said.
Y/N and Enola were about to walk over and do whatever is in their minds when the Marquess of Basilwether stopped them, "Enola, Y/N, no. Where's my mother?"
"In London, with your uncle, looking for you." She answered, snatching the gun from the ground. "They never understood. I'm so sorry, my darling. The future of the country is at stake."
"No. Don't tell me she's " Suddenly, the gun was fired, sending a bullet straight to the boy's chest. "No!" Both of the girls shouted at the same time. Y/N was quick to rush to the boy's aid, sobbing. "Tewkesbury, No!", she whisper-yelled. The girl cried endlessly like her eyes are falls.
" Wake up. Open your eyes, open your eyes. No, just- just look at me. I promise I'll be here. You can't-" she stopped when a lump started to form on her throat. It's like she couldn't speak anymore. Her voice was shrill and shaking, her breathing was unstable and fast. The stab wound on her back made it harder for her. She cupped his face with her hands just like he did earlier to her. The girl layed her head on his chest and placed her hand on his. "You told me you can't lose me yet here you are being the one who I'm losing.
"You told me you'd do it all for me. Wake up, then."
"I really can't lose you. I don't want to."
She stayed like that for seconds when Enola joined her as well, sobbing as much as she is. "How could you do this to him?", Y/N asked the old woman who solemnly watched them.
"Please wake up. You can't leave me now. What about living in London until we had enough of the yelling and the cheap gin? What about changing the world to something better? Bantering over and over until we laugh it off and talk about something else? Wouldn't you want us to do that again?", she asked knowing it's useless. She kept whispering sweet nothings until the boy's finger twitched a bit.
It all happened so fast. The next thing they all know is that he has slowly and completely intertwined his fingers with the girl's making her look up at him and breathe out in delight. " You're alive!", she exclaimed and pulled him in a tight embrace.
"Of course I'm alive. We have the goal to save the world, remember?", he asked. Sitting up, "Careful." Enola said, he unbuttoned his coat to reveal a chestplate. "I'm not entirely an idiot, you know?" He said.
Y/N sighed in relief, laughing joyfully, "Do you have another sarcastic comment to say?", the viscount asked. She shook her head playfully, " I have a lot, but considering the present circumstances, I'll save them for later."
Tewkesbury tucked a loose hair behind her ear with his slender finger just like he has longed to do for so long. He stared at her eyes, getting lost for a minute then leaned in to place a chaste and soft, sincere peck on her forehead.
"You are something else, L/N."
With that they stood up and turned to the young lord's grandmother. The boy took the metal material out of his coat and threw it aside.
"Your time is over." He stated.
The look of disbelief and defeat in the old woman's face almost made Y/N laugh when all of a sudden, she fell to the floor with a thud.
"Y/N!" Tewkesbury called as he turned around and rushed to the floor with the panting girl.
He held her hand as he layed her head on his lap. The worried look written all over his face made the girl groan. She gasped and gasped for air while her hand's grip tightened.
"There's blood on her back!", Enola exclaimed. The Viscount started to panic, stroking and drawing circles on the struggling girl's hand.
" No, no, no, no. Why didn't you say anything?", he asked, his voice cracking. He started to sob quietly.
"I- I'm fine. I'm f-fine," Y/N stammered as she shivered.
"No! You're not fine! Stop saying that! Stop pretending you're okay. You're not!", he yelled.
Y/N weakly smiled. "Aww, you care," she said hoarsely.
"I always did, Y/N. I always did," he whispered in her ears. She let out a barely audible croaky laugh and turned her head to the ceiling.
"I feel- cold..." She muttered under her breath and shuddered. The boy hugged her tightly this time and sniffled.
"Hey, uh Tewks?", she called. " I feel tired. Can I- Can I close my eyes for a bit?", she whispered.
This is a red flag. Tewkesbury's eyes widened and faced her.
"No, you can't." He answered.
"I promise- I'll open th-them after a minute," she said and gulped, exhaling sharply.
"Don't. Whatever you feel, don't. I need you to stay awake. Okay? Stay awake, Y/N. Don't close your eyes. Not even for a little bit."
"I'm tired and dizzy and cold-"
"No! Don't!"
"Don't worry, Nitwit. I'll- I'll open them as soon as- I can..."
"I promise..."
The girl's eyelids slowly dropped as her e/c irises were never to be seen again.
The Viscount let his tears stream down his cheeks. He pecked her forehead once again, sobbing loudly.
"You promised..."
She did, but it isn't over yet.
