when Y/N heard someone calling her name. Her eyes fluttered open as she sat up on the grass with falling dewdrops. Her dirty dress was wet and uncomfortable. It was enough to make her stand up.
"Good morning to both of you," she said and stretched.
Tewkesbury smiled and nodded, "Good morning to you as well."
"We've got water in a nearby pond so we might use that for our sanitary necessities," Enola said.
'What if an animal urinated on it?" The only boy in the trio questioned.
"What?" Y/N whispered in disbelief of what he had said, although she silently agreed.
"It's not impossible."
"Early in the morning, we have yet another banter." She said.
"Yes, indeed. Now, we have to get moving. I saw a carriage approaching nearby. Maybe we can ask them for a ride. Let's go," Enola said. After a few moments, the three of them started running to the carriage full of bleating. After asking the kind man who said yes, Enola was quick to take her seat along with Y/N who was about to go sit beside her when Tewkesbury held her hand and guided her up. "You do know I can go up by myself, right?" She asked. The boy chuckled and placed himself next to her.
"As independent as you are, I still have to be a gentleman," he said.
She laughed. "Inspiring, bhen you're with us, you don't have to worry about opening doors or helping us cross the roads. I think it's already understandable that we can do things ourselves." L/N said.
The Viscount looked at her as she looked away. He admired her determination for feminism, but it didn't necessarily mean he can't be a gentleman.
"You're doing it again," she said. He averted his gaze and licked his lips. Watching as the view got farther and farther, he got to distract himself from the girl he was next to.
"You look good in your new haircut, by the way," she praised.

Tewkesbury laughed slightly, "Thanks to the two of you."
"You're welcome, but I can only take a little credit. Enola was the one who did most of the job," she looked at the girl who smiled. "You're welcome," she said.
The sheep made a crying noise. "Well, you would say that," she said, referring to the boy. The trio laughed as the carriage took them to their destination, London, where they can make their dreams possible. The trio laughed as the carriage took them to their destination, London, where they can make their dreams possible.
Not long after, the hectic town cacophony was heard. The three of them knew that what they were now far from what their lives were. Suddenly, Enola got off the carriage carrying flocks of lamb and white wooled animals, leaving Y/N and Tewkesbury alone. "Oh. So, this is where we part?" He asked Holmes.
"It is," she said.
He looked down and took a deep breath, "Then, thank you, Enola Holmes, for helping me here."
"Us," Y/N corrected, giving a faint nod of gratitude to the girl dressed as a boy.
"You were supposed to have forgotten that name." "Then, you'll have to find another."
"Until we meet again," L/N said and smiled sadly as the carriage started to move. A few minutes of silence later, the girl decided to speak, "You've grown fond of her, haven't you?", Y/N asked the marquess. He looked at her cluelessly, "Who?", he asked.
"Enola Holmes. She saved your life after all," she answered. "No, no, no. Correction, you both saved my life. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for the two of you." He said and pursed his lips. "I haven't, by the way. I'm intrigued by someone else if that's what you're asking."
The girl arched an eyebrow. "So you like someone else?" The boy chuckled nervously, "No, I'm intrigued. Only that. I have no plan of being with someone." He answered. She nodded and waited for them to finally reach their destination. "I have money. Do you want something to eat when we get to wherever we're going?", she asked.

"No. And, I do believe you have to change your dress. Spend your money on that. That's yours, I don't want to be one of the reasons weighing on your shoulders," he said. "What a gentleman," Y/N said and laughed. After a long while, Tewkesbury finally got off the carriage and held his hand out for her to take.
She ignored it and got off herself. "I told you-" "Oh, did you really?", he asked pretending to have forgotten. "For people who just met, we're getting closer than I expected," L/N said. He bobbed his head.
"We both understand each other. We have things in common. There's really no doubt for us to be friends." The Marquess uttered, making her stop from walking. "So you're saying we're friends now?"
"Don't you want to?"
"Of course, I do, but..." she looked at him and sighed. "Fine, we're friends. I'm not usually a very accepting kind of person, but perhaps you deserve it. I owe you a lot."
"Why aren't you very accepting?"
"Trust. Easy to lend to anyone, but easier to break anytime." Y/N simply answered. She tugged a smile and turned to the shop full of dresses. "Can you stay here for a bit while I purchase an outfit?" "Of course."
Walking in the store, Tewkesbury bit his lip to hide a smile. He thought about how he's not alone in this, how he just became friends with someone he knows he can trust. The boy crossed his arms and leaned on a wall.
Almost a half an hour later, the girl finally walked out in a light pink dress that reached her ankles I'll leave to your imagination. Tewkesbury straightened his posture and clapped his hands. "You clean up well," he said. "Thank you."
"Now, off we go, M'lady," The Viscount said, mocking the formal people he grew up with. The girl looped her hands around his arm as she went along, "Where to, M'lord?", she asked. They both snorted and cackled.
"To find a temporary place to sleep in." Tewkesbury said.
After asking countless people for any ideas as to where they can find a good place to stay, they ended up in a pleasant lodging house. Not so pleasant when they find out they have to share a room for that is only the available one.
"Why are you so surprised? Aren't you a couple?", The old lady asked. Tewkesbury turned to Y/N as he cleared his throat. She pulled her hand from him and exhaled sharply. "No, we're not. I just met him yesterday," she said.
The lady hummed in response, "Well, you have to decide now or I'll give the key to another person."
"Fine. We'll take it," The girl huffed and took the key, paying for their stay. "Apologies for her temper," The Viscount said in a hushed tone.
"She's a handful, isn't she?", the woman said. He shrugged his shoulders as L/N started to walk upstairs to the room. "She is, but she's pretty worth it. Skilled and all. I have to go," He mumbled and followed.
Once he saw the room, he took a deep breath. "At least it isn't that dirty," he muttered. The girl sighed, "Well, I checked the bed. There's only one." She said. Tewkesbury nodded his head, "I can sleep on the floor if you like," he uttered.
"Are you serious? If your mother finds out I let a lord-to-be sleep on the floor, I'll be executed in no time." Y/N said. The Marquess only laughed and shook his head, "She's not here. I would never dare say a word about me sleeping on the floor. Besides, I'm free. I can make my own decisions."
The girl stared at her in surprise and disbelief then finally, she made a hand gesture of defeat. "Fine, but once your back hurts, don't blame me," she said.
He beamed. "So, this is what it feels like to have a roommate. Especially when the one you're sharing it with is an annoying girl like you." Upon hearing that, she threw a shoe at him, missing.
"Ha! You missed!" He taunted.
"I only miss when I mean to."
And that's that. Things were going smoothly.
For now.
