《Poetic Thoughts》Hellos and Goodbyes
Advertisement
Every word said after hello,
Determines the future you'll have to live in.
Every tear shed before goodbye,
Tells you if the past was, indeed, a win.
Each goodbye is said so that
Your future can be just a bit better.
Each hello goes on to show that
There's a past to you, a hidden treasure.
With the world moving without a pause,
It's easy to forget what greetings mean.
With the hellos and goodbyes being said so often,
The souls we meet in between become routine.

This chapter is going to be the final one in this book. I'll be back soon with a better concept, storyline, and hopefully, better poetry. This book has good poems, really good ones, some average ones, and also some really bad ones, but I regret nothing. This is a very special project for me. It's been just over a year since I started this and I still can't believe 7k people have read this book.
There are so many people I have to thank, starting with any person who has ever read any poem from this book. If it weren't for all the support, I definitely would have given up really soon. I have no idea how to even thank the people that have voted and commented on this book. Each and every person plays such an important role in what this book has become. Thank you so much.
There are some people I have to thank a bit personally though. lyra0020, Bhuvanesh8 and sujak12A2, you guys are the best support I ever could have asked for. lyra0020, you are the reason I even started this account and you'll always be the first person that recognized that I had something of a talent.
Now, those guys are my friends and they really don't have any other choice, but there are some people who supported me, right from the start even though we didn't already know each other. DreamerByTheMoon, Miraisnotmyrealname, rachellearose and TheAutumnist, you guys have been such a source of support for me and I really don't know how to thank y'all. I'll always be grateful for all the support you gave me. I'm so lucky to have known such sweet persons in my life.
In conclusion, this book is ending here, but I will be back with another work of mine soon enough.

I Don't (August Alsina)
"Just tell me you love me, man." He said. I thought about and after what he said, my love for him died. There was no love. He wasn't the same man I fell in love with. He was different. He changed and I didn't love this new guy in front of me. "I can't." I said. He looked at me, tears in his eyes. "Don't do this, man. You love me, baybeh. I know you do."I bit my lip, trying hard not to cry in front of him. "August," I gulped, cursing myself because the tears I said I wouldn't shed, were shedding. "I don't love you anymore. I don't."
