"You shouldn't have tried to stop me Billie." he says sort of mad. I couldn't tell whether it was because of me or not.

"I wasn't trying to defend him if that's what you're thinking." I say and Stokeley turns around looking at me.

"Billie it's my job to protect you. I swore to myself that I would and you're gonna let some guy keep looking at you like that?" he says angrily.

"You have to realize I can speak up too." I cross my arms.

"I know that Billie." he sighs, "Look I just want to do everything in my power to protect you. I'm not gonna let those guys talk to you like that."

He looks at the door to the house sounding slightly jealous.

"Stokeley I'm in love with you. not any of those guys." I say really fast not realizing what I said right away. I pause after hearing what I just said out loud.

Stokeley takes his eyes off the door and looks at me. He goes silent for a few seconds which worried me. I knew I shouldn't have said it.

"S-Stokeley I'm sorry I shouldn't have." I look down at the driveway.

He gets closer to me lifts my chin and kisses me. He pulls away. "I love you too Billie." he smiles.

I smile at him. "We should go back in there for Jah." I look at Stokeley.

He grabs my hand. "For Jah" he smiles. We go back inside and meet up with Jah who decides to tease us.

"Look at you two lovebirds. Y'all even together yet?" he laughs and looks at us. It causes Stokeley and I to look at each other.

"I dont know, let's settle this." Stokeley laughs and I look at him confused. "Bil, will you be my girlfriend?" he looks me straight in the eyes.
