woke up chained to a bed with seemingly handmade handcuffs on my wrists and ankles.

I tugged at them and they wouldn't budge.

Someone moved and made a sound from the corner of the dark room.

"Who are you? Let me go!" I spoke.

"You are my mate." The man spoke in a gruff voice with a bit of difficulty, almost like he hasn't spoken in quite a while.

"You too?! I don't need any more of you, please just forget about me and let me go." I spoke, "We're both gonna get killed, asshole." I grunted while tugging on the handcuffs once again.

"No, I'll keep us safe from them." He got up and I heard his heavy footsteps approaching me. I felt his eyes raking my body as he spoke, "Such a submissive position."

He traced a finger from my thigh to under the curve of my breast. I fought him and he continued tracing my body.

"Stop touching me." I gritted out through my teeth.

"Why would I?" He spoke.

"You said you took me away from that cruel world we live in to save me from them, yet you're doing the exact same thing that they are." I panted from fighting him.

He stopped his assault and his now glowing eyes were the only thing I could see clearly, apart from the outline of his body. He retraced his footsteps and sat in his former seat, hiding in the darkness. I looked around the room for an exit, already making a plan in my head.

"You're beautiful." He spoke suddenly, causing me to snap my head in his direction.

"You can't even see me in the darkness." I glared.

"Yes, I can."

The statement didn't confuse me as I already knew he was supernatural. It got gears turning in my head, but I had no idea what he could be. If I did, I'd know his weaknesses and strengths-creating a more sufficent plan of escape.

"What are you?"

"A lycan." He spoke after a moment of contemplating.

"I've never heard of lycans." I spoke, hiding the hint of worry creating a commotion in my brain.

"A lycanthrope."

"Oh. That makes sense."

My jumbled brain was having a hard time remebering their abilities and weak spots, but in the end I remembered a few; loud noises and bright light.

I also remembered that they are a bit mental and quite stupid in some cases. They are part animal, after all.

"What are you doing in the woods? Where'd you get that camera from?" He questioned.

"I'm not telling you anything." I spoke.

"You really aren't in the position to be acting superior, human."

"What is your name?"

"Armie." I snorted at that.

"Army? As in a military army?" I wondered. No wonder he is mental; his parents must have been crazy to name their child Army.

"No, with an i and an e. Yours?"

"I'm only telling you if you turn on the lights."

"I'm turning them on only if you tell me your name."

"Susana."

"Your name doesn't suit you." He laughed.

That's because it isn't my name, dumbass.

"Turn on the lights."

I saw a pair of silver eyes glimmering in the corner and I fell asleep again.

"Goodnight."

ALEXANDER'S P.O.V.

I have been feeling off today. I gave Dahlia a polaroid and left a letter on her porch, as usual. I've told myself that I won't follow her today, but I had to make sure she's okay so I put a tracking device in her polaroid.

Thanatos is complaining about something and I have no clue what.

I check where she's at and it shows that she is deep in a forest, but the signal dissapears. There is a lake near it and I'm guessing that the polaroid was dropped into it and that it is broken because of the water damage.

Maybe Dahlia fell in the lake.

My dead heart drops to my empty stomach and in a flash, I'm out of the fresly built house. I dash out into the woods and follow the map on my phone to the lake where I'll hopefully see Dahlia alive and well.

My hair is pulled back from my face because of the speed I'm running at and in a couple of minutes, I have arrived.

I walk to the lake, but she isn't inside. I would have noticed her immediately because of my supernatural senses. I notice that mermaids populate it's depths and they start singing a tune that I'm very familiar with and have gotten immune to over the years.

My eyes flash dangerously as Thanatos tries to come out to the surface. If he did, the lake would turn red from the mermaid's blood.

I compell one to come out to the surface and ask her what happened.

"Quæ abiit, et virum." She responds.

'She went with a man.'

"Quid enim?" I ask.

'What was he?'

"Et lycanthrope."

'A lycanthrope.'

"Quo abiit?"

'Where did he go?'

"Africum."

'Southwest.'

"Ut vadat."

'You may go.'

The mermaid goes underneath the surface again and joins her fellow merpeople. I head southwest and try to whiff out her scent, but catch only small hints here and there.

A lycanthrope? How dare he take someone against their will! She isn't even his mate!

The thought of her being with another man, a lycanthrope, makes Thanatos come out slightly as my senses sharpen and I am able to scent out another scent mixed with hers. I still can't pinpoint where they are but the scent is very familiar.

Armie is back, but this time he is taking our mate.
