Virgil went from dark to light. What if someone went from light to dark?
Basically take some angst and slight Moceit and Roceit and Demus-
Honesty was talking with Morality, his best friend.
"Honesty how come we haven't got names?" Morality asked.
"Uhm, but we do got names Mora. You're Morality and I'm Honesty. 'Member?" he replied, tilting his head in confusion.
"Nu uh! Like actual names! Not what we represent."
"Hm....." Honesty thought for a minute. "Well, if you want a name, we could help each other come up with names!"
"Yeah! What do you think for me?" Morality asked excitedly.
"How about..... Patton! That sounds like a dadish name and you're like Creativity and Logic's dad!" Honesty said, smiling brightly at the other.
"I like that one! Well if I get a dad name you gotta have a mom name. You could be a Janus?" he asked.
"I love it," H̶o̶n̶e̶s̶t̶y̶ Janus said.

Janus was skipping happily to his boyfriend Creativity's room.
"Vity!" he called, as he opened the door. "Me and Pa- Morality made cooki-....."
Janus trailed off as Creativity and Logic were quick to pull apart.
"Honesty! It's not what it looks like, I swear!" Creativity immediately said, moving towards the other.
"Statistically that's-" Logic began before being interrupted.
"Liar. I hate liars. I hate lies. You know that," Janus spat out at Creativity.
"But, Honesty, baby-"
"Don't call me that!" he screamed, tears running down his face. "You've lost all privilege to call me anything even close to that! We're done! Over!"
Creativity and Logic were both frozen in shock. The last and only time Janus had ever yelled at anyone was when Logic tried to tell the new side, Anxiety, that he'd never be anything but bad.

Patton ran over into the hallway next to Janus in the doorway. "What's wrong!? I heard Honesty yelling!" he exclaimed worriedly before noticing the one that'd been named crying.
Immediately Janus was wrapped in a hug. "Which one of you caused this?" Patton asked dangerously lowly.
Janus ripped himself out of Patton's hold. "Don't touch me!" he screamed, backing up with his hands on his head.
"You're- You're all liars! All of you! " he yelled, turning and stumbling towards the dark side of the mindscape, where only Anxiety resided, ignoring the calls of the others behind him.
They wouldn't follow him there and everyone knew it.
Janus crashed to the ground when he'd finally made it to where he was headed, sobbing almost silently.
Soon as Anxiety had heard the noise he was in front of Janus and holding him in his arms, mumbling, "Those idiots....."

"My name..... My name is Janus."

"Kept the name, Jay?"
Janus turned as he tugged his glove back on to see Patton leaning against the other wall.
"So did you," he replied, looking down and avoiding eye contact.
Pattom sighed before smiling and setting a hand on Janus' shoulder, shocking him into looking up.
"I missed you 'Honesty'."
After a pause Janus smiled back.
"You too Mora."

Soul Land 3: Legend of the Dragon King
The Age of Gods has long since ended, their voices no longer heard on the continent of Douluo. Humanity, standing on the shoulders of legends from its history, advanced soul technology to inconceivable heights. The humans of Douluo invented weapons of mass destruction, mechanized armor, and living metals. With these advancements, they went on to conquer the oceans and discovered two new continents. To fuel these new technologies, humanity hunted the soul beasts to the very brink of extinction.
8 505Tower of Babel: Speedrunner
Launch day. That was what they called it. The day when over four million people vanished in an instant from the island of Manhattan. The day earthquakes ravaged the east coast. The day a one hundred and one kilometer tall tower rose from the wreckage of the now empty city. The day every screen, newspaper, and smart phone displayed a single message from an unknown source: The Great Emperor has issued his challenge. From the ruins of the Old World rise the Tower. Its doors will soon open, and the great game will begin. A hundred floors and a hundred challenges await the worthy. And to the victor? A Wish of Unlimited Power. Cayden Caros yearned to play that game. His only problem? The Terms and Conditions. A strict set of rules that, among other things, prevented anyone under the age of sixteen from entering the tower. Forced to wait for over two years, Cayden did the only thing he could do to pass the time. He researched, he practiced and he prepared. It would take a lot to catch up to players with such an enormous head start. Lucky for him, he was a special type of gamer. A SpeedRunner So.... It has been a hot minute. I don't like talking about my personal life, but suffice to say I had some fairly bad times for the last couple of years and have only just recently pulled myself back to good health, physically and mentally. I have a very supportive partner, and am put together enough that I want to get back to doing what I love. Writing nerd fiction that I am too embarassed to try to explain when people inevitably ask what my books are about. Still beats when I used to write erotica. Story updates for book 3 should be on a daily schedule, baring unforseen circumstances. The majority of chapters from books one and two have been pulled down to keep with amazon's KU rules. Book one is found here. Book two is found here. If you like the story, please comment or favorite. Each comment goes a long way towards pushing visibility for the story, which means more people get to see it and I feel slightly more validated as a writer. I have a discord now where you can ask me things and I can be like 'no. no. I'm not answering that. no."
8 183The Sun's Remnant
Two people are transported to a world with magic, but it is no Wonderland. When the god of light died, he decided to take the world with him. At least, that’s what many believe in the Kingdom of Rhine, a once vast kingdom of which only a small corner remains — and even that is threatened. On one side, by the Twisted Forest, a corruption spreading from the deathplace of the gods that has already swallowed up most of Rhine. On the other, by the resurgent Kagrathan Empire, resurrected by the infallible God-Emperor Karlatz. A holy order of knights carry out their mission despite the death of their god. A band of talented misfits prepare for a heist out of their league — by stealing. Mages hunt for secrets even as the world ends. A ruler does what must be done to save the living, no matter the cost. Into this world of magic and murder, two adrift souls are inexplicably dragged: a mother estranged from her young daughter due to her own mistakes, and a young man with a love of fantasy who has gradually drifted away from his friends and family. As they each struggle to find their place in this world, they must also answer the question: do they want one?***Content Warning: I've drafted about 100,000 words (most of the first volume), and there is no sexual content so far, though I may add it in the future. There is occasionally gore and traumatising content as the story demands. I commit to keeping all of the above non-voyeuristic. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
8 223They Who Hunt the Forest
As a rule of nature, breaking a wave before it peaks halts and disperses built-up energy. Unfortunately, Fate doesn't play by the rules of nature. The cost of a Fourth war: an equal number of lives, a thousand thousand generations of lost futures, and one infinitely unspeakably tortured soul of a child never given chance to be one. Or, the one where some power-hungry immorals decided to put the words "bijuu," infinite," "natural energy," and "psuedo" together in one sentence, not necessarily in that order. 8 186The Core of a Factory
An abandoned steampunk arms factory, in the middle of a conflict torn former state of the Empire it served, gains a soul. This transforms it into a Lord, capable of turning land into power. Beset by enemies on all sides it must figure out how to win the war its creators lost a century ago. This is a progressive Dungeon Core novel (which is to say the core will progress and expand in scale, eventually) across multiple dimensions with different characteristics (e.g. steampunk, magic, mythological). It has rationalist leanings (paragraphs of reasoning) and litrpg leanings (there are stat blocks). The core game mechanical idea is something like "what if different flavors of magic power actually did come from controlling land" and then the story is: "what if there was a flavorless (artifact deck) dungeon core". Chapters will be relatively short (my aim is that in three column format each would fit on a wide screen monitor), the first few chapters - setting up the main character and mechanics - are currently the longest in the entire series. I write chapters in blocks, and then release them one a weekday (M-F; 6 PM GMT, unless RoyalRoad's publish thing screws up) until I run out. There may be a few days of gaps here and there if someone finds an egregious error I have to re-write around or if I am behind. In general though one can read this once a weekend. I may do slight retconns and edits, I'll make sure to put it in an authors note if I do.
