The sky above looks down on us with a gloomy countenance, perfectly reflecting my mood and that of everyone around me.

He's gone!

I can't believe he's really gone.

The only man who has ever truly loved me unconditionally..

A tear rolls down my cheek. He's gone!

"He's been a great son, father and husband. May the lord light his soul, forever and ever, amen." The priest draws a cross in the air, over his casket.

I watch as it's lowered into the ground, tear after tear rolling down my cheeks. Why did he have to leave me?

The family is called forward to cast the first soils over the casket, then the rest follow suit. I stay there until the whole casket is coveres up whilst people make their way back to my house.

This is actually when everything processes and registers perfectly in my head. My father is gone! All this while, I wanted to believe he was just asleep. But now with him under the ground, I can't help but break down. And cry.

It's a good thing Moana is here to help me out. I don't know what I would have done without her. She holds me in her arms as I cry my heart out.

When I calm down, I assure Moana that I will be fine and she leaves. I needed some alone time with my father. I stay seated on a bench beside the grave. I reminisce all the good times we had, how he made me laugh without much of a hustle, how he always told me what to do whenever my brain jammed. I'm gonna miss him.

I sit speechless in my room, just looking out the window. Wait a minute! There's someone I haven't seen today. I need to go somewhere. I jump into my car and rev up the engine, heading to Drake's house.

Drake is my boyfriend. He's been since two months ago. He's a great guy really. Right now, I want to be with him. I wonder why he didn't attend the burial though.

I kill the engine once I'm in front of his house. I walk over to his porch. I look at the door for a second but decide not to knock. I head straight in.

The whole place is dead silent. Perhaps he's not home. But then again, the front door was unlocked. He must be sleeping.

I make my way through the living room and into the hallway, where the bedrooms are located. As I near his bedroom, I hear voices. One is most definitely his. But the other... I hear a giggle. Is that a woman?

But I'm not one to judge immediately. He could be watching TV or....well, you know. I put my hand on the doorknob. My heart's rate increases when I hear a moan. I slowly turn the knob and open the door wide.

My eyes enlarge at the scene in front of me. There! Is Drake, whose head is buried deep in between the brunette's legs. She's naked and so is he! Those scoundrels. I let out a shriek, startling the two as they spring apart.

Drake's faces turns pale and the woman rushes to cover her body. "Don't you knock?" She asks.

"Baby, let me explain!" Drake starts to come closer to me.

I put out my hand to stop him from coming nearer. "Don't you come anywhere near me, Drake! Don't you ever show your face to me again!" I seethe, "and we're done!"

I turn and walk away. I'm pretty sure I heard my name being called multiple times but I didn't give a fuck. I slam the front door and practically run for my car, not caring that now it's raining.

By the time I reach it, I'm completely drenched. Thunder rolls overhead as I enter the car, immediately speeding away soon after.

I stop in the middle of the forest, my hands tightly gripping the wheel my knuckles turning white.

I shout at the top of my voice, my anger, sadness and sorrow all needing out. It helps me out a bit but it doesn't stop the tears of another heartbreak.

Today should go down in history. Today, I buried my father, the only man I know will always love me. Today, I caught my boyfriend cheating, when he was supposed to comfort me through this.

Could this day get any worse?

Wow, look at our Erica! The poor girl lost her father. I'm sure those that have lost one understand her pain, top it all up with her cheating boyfriend.
