《Otome game in a reality》Second route; 2. Hot temperature

"Onee-san you look sooo cute today~ I feel like if you escort me around the school, I'll be able to get the first place!"
Because of his endless praise everyone was staring at us. Some boys were whispering about my appearance while girls were busy giggling amongst themselves, glaring at him from time to time.
I don't understand how people thinks. I mean, in my opinion every person in this school has a beautiful appearance but sometimes has a rotten personality.
Not that I had a time to worry about these useless things, I was too busy being careful with this kid, trying my best not to get on his good or bad side at the same time.
"Hahaha... I'm sure you can get the first place.." after all there was a 'genius' type on your information. It's obvious that you'll get into here. Or else you'll lose your job as a capture target.
"How was the exam when you first entered? Nee-san also get the first place right?"
"Yeah. I think it was pretty easy" not like I remember about that.
"Woah, nee-san is awesome. Someday I want to be like you"
"You're awesome too. I mean look how confident you're, laughing and talking. But every other students are practicing for the exam"
He then finally noticed the heavy atmosphere around him. Every single students were reading books, trying to memorize at least a bit of information before the exam.
R.A.K is a cliche but honorable school that has a very high standing in Japan. I remember hearing this information from TV in first route. You can enter this school by either getting into the top fifty or pay the full price. The price is ridiculously high, it's for those rich kids such as Riku, though I'm sure he scored to the top fifty easily and got scholarship.
I looked around searching for the same red haired devil but fortunately he wasn't visible.

"I'm very confident. If I can't enter the same school as nee-san, I won't be worthy of staying next to you"
"Fine fine.. now go and give your exams you brat. I'll be waiting outside" I quickly replied trying to end his cliche praises. He is too energetic and is pissing me off.
"But I want to spend time with..."
"GO. RIGHT. NOW!!" I glared at him which he immediately shut up and gulped.
"Okay, I'm going right away!" He whimpered and ran towards the other children. I know he's only 15 years old but he acts like 5 which kinda reminds me of the reason I died.
Looks like my hatred towards children will remain same everywhere I go.
Of course I was once a kid. But there's many reasons I hate kids; there was a time when one of my little cousin broke my brand new phone so I had to live 2 years without it due to lack of money, and because of an unknown child who spilled his drink on my new office clothes I was late for my job interview which I was looking forward for three months and because of some brat I died.
Conclusion: I hate dumb, clumsy, noisy and spoiled children. Just because they're children they get away with it. Their parents didn't even consider apologizing to me simply because 'I wasn't careful enough'.
There's still many bad memories that include children but I'll skip it for now. Just thinking about it makes my day terrible.
This boy really behaves like a child, trying to look cute /which he is actually succeeding/ feels suspicious. Not to mention there was a 'sadist' word on his information window.
I'm not stupid enough to let my guard down around a 'sadist' person. He appears to be innocent and naive but I believe the reality is different.
I don't really like people who try to look pure, they're either extremely stupid or extremely sly. This kid is definitely the second kind.

What if he's even worse than Riku? I would rather commit suicide than experiencing the same situation again. I need to be very cautious and never drop my guard.
Everything I experienced previously is because I looked down on this situation thinking it's just a simple dating game.
Just as I was walking towards the school gate, lost in my thoughts a similar girl's cheerful voice called out my name from the crowd of people.
"Yoshino!! Here, here! Let's go together"
The cute childish figure was trying her best to get through the crowd. Since it's an entrance exam many parents of the students were crowding around the school waiting for their children.
According to the time set of this route three years must've passed. But this girl, Sakura hasn't grown up at all. She was considered as a shortie even among the first years but now she's the shortest out of all high school students.
That blonde kid... what was his name again? ah, right Sora is definitely taller than her.
"What're you doing here? You're not part of the student council right?"
I looked at the clothes she was wearing... a black uniform means she's a part of the student council. I don't really know or care about what they do but in my opinion it's a tiring, unnecessary annoying job. As a lazy, antisocial person I hate and admire these bunch of active guys at the same time.
"Hello? You look tired. Are you okay?"
I'm not okay. Today is so hot and I just witnessed how it feels to get my eye balls sliced by a knife. I'm definitely not fine at all.
It's a miracle how she's fine with wearing a black tight school uniform and staying under the hot sun for many hours. She's not even sweating.
"Well, just a little bit heatstroke. Are you busy right now?"
"I won't be talking to you if I were busy, baka! Let's go buy ice cream. It's on me!"
"Okay please slow down. The shop won't run away"
We bought ice cream and sat under the tree in the school garden to eat in peace. It'll take several hours for Sora to finish his exam so resting a little won't hurt.
"So are you going to tell me the reason you're here or not?" She pouted cutely. I take back my words about Sora being cuter than her. No one can win her cuteness.
"Yeah, one of my brothers in orphanage is giving the exam. I'm here to escort him around"
"Woah, you never mentioned that before! But he'll most likely can't make it... there's over thousand attendees this year!"
"Wanna make a bet? If he gets the first place you'll fulfill my one wish. If he can't I'll fulfill your wish"
"Really? But is it okay? How about at least top ten?" She asked, probably worried about me. Out of two kinds of innocent people I mentioned before, she's probably the first kind, extremely fool. I mean, why's she trying to lower her chance of winning?
"No. I'll bet on only the first place"
"Okay. Let's do pinky swear!"
I couldn't resist because she was so cute. I probably would've forgiven all of those children who made trouble for me if they were this cute. That way I won't hate children as much as I do now.
"Fine. I swear" We hook fingers as the girl in front of me smiled brightly. I can feel my cheeks burning.
Probably from the heat.
Yes, it's definitely because of hot temperature. At least I think so.

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
