"Here, to cheer you up." Dahyun handed out Chaeyoung a milkshake.
"Thanks." Chaeyoung replied.
Chaeyoung drank the milkshake that Dahyun gave to her earlier, Momo's last elective class will be starting soon so she excused herself to the younger ones. Only Dahyun and Chaeyoung are left together.
"What's with that sudden expression, Chaeyoung-ah?" Dahyun asked.
"Nothing."
"Uh-oh you can't lie to me. C'mon. We're friends for almost 3 years now, you can open up to me." Dahyun blurted out.
"It's just..."
"Is it because of Mina?"
"..."
"Maybe Mina has more important thing to do, that's why she decided to go. Stop being so childish Chaeyoung-ah."
"But she left with Jeongyeon.."
"So what?"
"I'm—" Chaeyoung was cut by Dahyun's words
"—Jealous?!" Dahyun asked.
"Sort of.. I mean lowkey.." Chaeyoung finally spoke.
"You're jealous for nothing." Dahyun said.
"Why can't you see me? I'm always by your side. I'm jealous too Chaeyoung-ah." Dahyun said but Chaeyoung didn't heard.
"Shall we go to the field?" Dahyun asked.
"S-sure."
The two sat beside each other. Chaeyoung isn't approaching nor starting a conversation between them so Dahyun started.
"Do you like Mina that much?" Dahyun sighed.
"We're just friends..."
"You sure though?" Dahyun raised her eyebrows.
"Don't tell me that you liked her now, just like what you've dreaming before. You know?" Dahyun said.
"...that brave soldier who loves her bestfriend from afar..." Dahyun added.
"Pfft. Why would I follow her footsteps? I didn't really know who she was." Chaeyoung said.
"Oh- okay then." Dahyun sighed in relief.
Dahyun excused herself from Chaeyoung because she needed to use the restroom. Minutes after she left, Chaeyoung received a text from Mina.
