It's Christmas Eve, my family's away, my friends are with their loved ones, celebrating this very special day. I wished my parents and my siblings a merry christmas though, vice versa but I still feel empty and thought, how could I possibly make my christmas special by myself. While fixing the gifts underneath my small but special christmas tree, I saw a gift, the gift is for Nayeon.
***
"Jeong, why would you like to spent your christmas here? with me?" Nayeon asked after taking the gift from Jeongyeon.
"I want to make this day a special one for me." Jeongyeon replied.
"Although there's no way that you could wear that dress." Jeongyeon added.
"Maybe I'll wear this during my funeral, perhaps?" Nayeon joked which made Jeongyeon's mood to change.
"Yah, stop joking about deaths." Jeongyeon coldly said.
"Fine, I'm sorry." Nayeon replied.
"Anyways, take this. That's what I asked for this christmas." Nayeon added.
"Hourglass?" Jeongyeon said.
"Yeah, an hourglass. These days I'm spending my time doing more important things, signing few papers etcetera." Nayeon replied.
"T-thank you." Jeongyeon smiled.
"Jeong..." Nayeon suddenly said after few minutes of silence.
"Hmm?"
"Today's my last day..." Nayeon said, trying her best not to cry. Instead of crying, she let out a warm and genuine smile.
". . ."
"Thank you, Jeong..." Nayeon added, she's in verge of tears.
". . ."
"I'm happy that my last month here were spent meeting a kind and special person like you." Nayeon added.
". . ."
"It's fine, it's okay not to talk. I know you're a bit surprised." Nayeon added as she leaned on Jeongyeon's shoulders.
"I wished that I'll be spending more time with you, I wished that we've met earlier." Nayeon said.
Jeongyeon looked at Nayeon then cupped her face, she stared at those brown orbs that were covered in tears.
'No, Nayeon, say that you'll never go.' Jeongyeon thought.
Jeongyeon leaned and kissed Nayeon.
