I can't deny that secret glances from Detective Myoui was a major turn on for me. I can still remember the day we actually bumped into each other, her first day of work here. She's newly assigned here, at my particular headquarters because Chief Park wanted to. We're a bit awkward for now but yeah, at least we're improving. But there's still a question that's banging my mind for weeks now.
"Does Detective Myoui like girls as much as I do?"
I've heard almost everyone here that she already likes someone in particular. I'm pretty curious yet shy to ask her about it.
"Deep in thought?" Jeongyeon asked as I turned on the wheels.
"Kinda??" I replied.
"Are you still thinking about earlier? You know? About Detective Myoui?" Jeongyeon asked.
"Do you have a crush on her?" Jeongyeon asked as she leaned closer towards me.
"I- I ofcourse no!!" I replied as I looked away from her.
"Back off! I'm driving!" I added in embarrassment.
"Hahahaa! Okay fine!" Jeongyeon teased.
We reached the asylum.
"It's pretty much my 3rd? or 4th time here and yet I haven't seen her." Jeongyeon said as we entered the main building.
"Ms. Im?" I asked.
"Yeah, that's sick, right?" Jeongyeon replied.
"I think so..." I replied.
"You wait here, okay? I'll be the one to fetch her." Jeongyeon said.
"Sure." I replied.
Jeongyeon then went upstairs, then went to the bridge that connects the main building to the first 200 cells.
"Ahh good grief, why am I nervous?" Jeongyeon thought.
"Officer Yoo!" Momo, the one who guards the cell of Ms. Im greeted her.
"H-hi! Is Ms. Im here?" Jeongyeon asked.
"Yes." Momo replied.
"You can come in now." Momo commanded. Jeongyeon nodded in response.

Nayeon heard someone talking from outside her cell.
"Officer? am I going to be killed?" Nayeon thought.
Nayeon covered her head with her pillows as she heard footsteps from not that far from her.
"Ms. Im?" Jeongyeon gently called her.
Nayeon then faces her, slowly. Jeongyeon on the other hand, was wowed on how gorgeous the prison looked like.
"Why? am I going to killed this soon?" Nayeon asked, out of blue.
"No no no— I- I'm just here to you know? be your g-guard." Jeongyeon replied.
"Ahhh! I almost said for 30 freaking days!" Jeongyeon thought.
"Oh, okay." Nayeon said.
"So I guess you're new here? right?" Nayeon asked, with her legs crossed.
"How can be a psychopath like her have so much looks that's making my hormones question itself?" Jeongyeon thought again.
"I- uhm yes." Jeongyeon replied.
"Ms. Im, I'm Officer Yoo Jeongyeon." Jeongyeon greeted, then offered a handshake.
"WHAT THE FREAK JEONG, WHY ARE YOU ASKING FOR A HANDSHAKE RIGHT NOW?!" Jeongyeon screamed inside her head.
"Hello, Jeongyeon. My name's Im Nayeon." Nayeon chuckled upon seeing the officer's reddish face.
"You know, it's kinda dark here but your face were glowing red." Nayeon added.
"Ah— really though? I- may have fever." Jeongyeon chuckled nervously.
Nayeon stepped even more closer to the officer to touch her head.
"W-what are you d-doing Ms. Im?" Jeongyeon blurted out.
"Checking if your fever is high enough." Nayeon replied.
"Aish, stop moving and stay still." Jeongyeon said.
"Sorry." Nayeon stepped back and sat on her bed.
"I shouldn't be friends with you." Nayeon said, looking down.
"Why?" Jeongyeon asked.
"I'm a psychopath who loves killing peoples." Nayeon answered.
"You should wash your hands for shaking mine's." Nayeon added.

"C'mon, I don't really care about that. We're all the same anyways." Jeongyeon shrugged.
"Oh— really?" Nayeon asked while looking intensely at Jeongyeon's brown orbs.
"AHH FUCK WHAT DID I JUST SAID." Jeongyeon thought.
Nayeon then stood up and walked towards Jeongyeon, who's seating in her foldable plastic chair. She rested her arms around the officer's shoulders,
"What if I told you that I can kill a person like you?" Nayeon flashed a smile, not just a friendly smile but a smile that can already kill you.
"I-I.." Jeongyeon can't even speak.
"I— what?" Nayeon asked.
To be continued...

8 240Greg Veder vs The World
The average person can easily understand that when it comes to living in a villain-infested, crime-filled city like Brockton Bay, treating life like a game can get you killed. It's kind of ironic, then, that Greg Veder has always been far more serious about games than he ever has about life. (Worm/The Gamer AU)
8 294The Core: The First Guest (Book 1 of 3)
Book two starts here: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/46417/the-core-the-hive-daughter-book-2-of-3 --- Kevin was just a normal 10 year old kid until he saw a woman vanish right before his eyes. This made Kevin just a little bit different. He paid more attention to people now. Little did he know that this little difference would kill him the next time he encountered another alien about to return home. It would tear him apart, cell by cell, until he was unmade. His mind being transported away. So distantly far away there is a race that advanced to the point where they built dyson spheres to house their civilizations. In their continual expansion, they seeded galaxies with pods and connection satellites. Over time they upgraded their dyson spheres into matryoshka brain Cores. Imagine a computer powered by a star. Citizens of Cores no longer age once they upload their minds into the virtual living system of the Core. While they didn’t age, most still choose to cycle through life and death though at a different scale of time compared to our lives. Citizens can visit other planets and live there as if they were on a "vacation". Mercury is Earth’s hub connected to the closest Core and Earth is a remote vacation spot for wealthy citizens. When the main character was 10 he witnessed a citizen returning to the Core. The story continues 10 odd years later when he again witnesses a similar situation unfolding and manages to touch the person returning to the Core. This causes him to be swept up in the transfer as well and for his mind to join as a "Guest" user of the Core. As a Guest he has limited powers, a starting balance of zero cr or Citizen credits, and no idea how he can get home. He is the first human to ever become a Guest of a Core. 8 286Saga of the Great Wolf
In the Dragon Seal Universe, humans worship the Celestial Court of the Dragon Gods. As per the edicts of the Celestial Court, humans Cultivate the Dao to seek strength and rise above their common roots. If they rise to one day serve the Dragon Gods directly, they have the chance to be initiated into the Greater Secrets of the Daos, which can allow them to live for millions of years. Coalescence, the Path to Transcendence, is considered a Heretical Art of the Demonic War Masters, whose evil empire was said to have been overthrown hundreds of millennia in the past by the Celestial Court. Wolves, a species that are said to have once served the War Masters, are listed by the Temple of the Celestial Court as one of the most corrupt of Demonic Beasts. They are killed on sight. Surrounded by the Demonic Wildlands and protected by the ancient Watch Towers, a number of human nations and empires thrive atop the Great Plateau. Cultivators rule over the general populace and the Temple of the Celestial Court rules over the Cultivators. Anyone caught practicing Coalescence is sentenced to death by torture. I am half human and half Wolf. Since I am already under a death sentence for my Bloodline, there is nothing to stop me from setting out on the Path of Coalescence. As I promised my mother, I will grow strong. When I am strong enough, I will destroy the Dragons and Dragon Gods. I will set this world, once known as Sirius, free from their chains. Releases will be on Tuesdays & Fridays.
8 218Re:Mento Mori
When Ryuji, a disgruntled salaryman, is supposed to reach an unfortunate end, he is instead thrust into a new world, inhabiting a body that isn't his own. Forced into a world filled with strife and death, can he claim freedom and happiness? Or will his turbulent new life only lead to suffering and pain? As with every time-loop story written by an amateur author, this is heavily inspired by Re:Zero. If I had to explain my book, I would say imagine Re:Zero, but the main character can actually fight people instead of just getting merked every time he meets someone with a weapon. The themes of this story are dark, so be forewarned. This is my first story so keep that in mind while reading it.
